  1. I think this ride is what Sea World needed. It may look out of place a little, but Bermuda Triangle had lost its edge (They could have changed it to fit into the theme of Dinosaur Island). However, I'm not complaining. I think that the ride will be good, even if the theming wasn't. But after seeing this photo it seems like it will be a great ride, with great theming.
  2. The theming is coming along nicely. Source: The Theme Park Social Network
  3. Update. Source: The Theme Park Social Network
  4. I think the cyclone is one of the most uncomfortable rides on the Gold Coast, so it being closed won't affect your day at all. Dreamworld has plenty of other good rides.
  5. Does anyone know what the theme is this year and what mazes will be there?
  6. Someone asked Movie World on FB about the ride and they said it will be opening soon and to stay tuned. This was only a week ago, so maybe the ride will open next year instead.
  7. Fright Night is back this year. Here are the dates: October 5, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, 31.
  8. The main frame seems like it is complete Source: The Theme Park Social Network
  9. It was a public connection, with no password. I was using it on my ipod touch.
  10. When I was in the Kung Fu Panda area and next to FlowRider, there was a wifi connection called Q4U. This was a month ago.
  11. Dreamworld's app does not require an internet connection, but it is better if you do. Dreamworld and White Water World do offer free wifi, but it is restricted. The Theme Parks Pocket Guide app always requires an internet connection. I haven't been to Movie World, Sea World or Wet n Wild for a while now so I don't know if they have free wifi, but I am assuming they would.
  12. This was posted on Sea World's website: Polar Bear Shores will be closed for one week from Monday the 22nd of July to Friday the 26th of July to work on the main viewing area as part of the construction process for the $1.5M Polar Bear Shores extension.
  13. Looks like some theming for the coaster has arrived at Sea World Source: The Theme Park Social Network
  14. At this stage sea world can't say. It all comes down to construction progress and when the cub is ready
  15. Storm is believed to be open in the first week of December.
  16. This is an artists impression of what the new area at Polar Bear Shores will look like when it opens in early September.
  17. From the station the ride goes into a themed area and then onto the coaster track.
  18. I believe the message of The Storm is to not destroy our oceans with rubbish as it is killing our sea creatures. If shipping containers and nets, etc are used then it shows that no matter how big or small the item is rubbish/waste is destroying our oceans.
  19. The Theme Park Social Network just uploaded a photo of the completed track. Here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=482919078456372&set=a.470458526369094.1073741936.132673766814240&type=1&theater
  20. 1. Build more attractions at White Water World 2. Improve theming of rides in certain areas (Such as having the Claw in Ocean Parade) and Improve the theming and story of certain rides (Such as The Giant Drop and Shockwave). 3. Fix the Cyclone. It is a really uncomfortable ride. 4. Bring back the Skyway. 5. Bring back Eureka Mine Ride. 6. Upgrade the wildlife area. 7. Build a new ride/attraction where the old Blue Lagoon used to be. 8. Upgrade the Log Ride and River Rapids. It needs a new track and affects. 9. Making the Vintage Cars more exiting. It needs a tunnel, like the Vintage Cars in the old location. 10. Bring back the Paddle Boat, so the lake looks cleaner.
  21. I went past sea world today and the lift hill looks higher than the sea viper. So maybe the storm is taller than 28 metres. I suppose we will just have to wait until sea world releases all if the statistics.
  22. Went past sea world and the lift hill looks like it is almost complete
  23. It reaches a height of 28 metres. That is all that has been released.
  24. Rides don't open until 10am, but I would line up at Superman Escape first. Then go on Arkham Asylum. Depending on how long you are lined up for, I would then make my way to Hollywood Stunt Driver. After the show watch Ice Age 4D and then have lunch. After lunch go on the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster and then Wild West Falls. Then go over to Batwing Space shot, Green Lantern Coaster and Justice League Alien Invasion. Go on these rides in any order. You will have time to watch any other shows you want to see, in between rides. It all depends on how busy the lines are.
