Hi, I wasn't here in the roller coaster.com.au days but during WWW's construction was Cyclone closed at all? I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

I thought it was illegal for Australian theme parks to sell alcohol, being family friendly places. Its great to hear that Cyclone has become better. I am looking forward to trying it out myself. Are the cobwebs still in the station or did DW clean them up?

Isn't the Freak Out there every holidays now? Last time I went in July it was there.

Well, I thought they were going to slap on a sign, keep the queue lines the wrong way round, remove the turbine and the old Cyclone theming and put nothing in the building.

Hi sorry for the bump and the dumb question but after reading the excellent Luna Park book by Sam Marshall was the Big Dipper (1995 version) track painted orange or yellow? It seems in the video posted onto YouTube a long time ago the track is orange but in photos it looks yellow? I've always wondered about that.

Like the new trains a lot. Vest harnesses woohoo! Probably a soft opening I suppose.

I doubt it is Cyclone's theming. The ride is themed to HOT WHEELS.

I think they would have, previously it was looking as rusty as crap and DW would never want to present their coaster like that.

I think if DW bought all new trains, the carriages would be Vekoma, judging by the shape of them... Either MK212's or the older MK1200 trains like the one below. These ones are MK212's: The photo of the new Cyclone trains:

That's disappointing that Cyclone seems to not be getting a new coat of paint. DW are kidding themselves keeping the old rusty Cyclone paint (it makes the coaster look like the packaging of Hot Wheels). Sorry if I am not saying Cyclone is crap, but in all honestly its my sentimental favorite. I'm excited to try out the Hot Wheels revamp and see if anything's changed (probably will).

GL wouldnt itself fit the bill of a prototype, however its cars would.

As cool as that may be, I'd doubt VRTP would invest in a prototype attraction.

Wow, seems exciting! Love to see an RMC, a Premier Launch, a B&M Hyper or an Intamin Mega-Lite. Superman and Abyss are sure up for some serious competition for the title of "Best Roller coaster in Australia".

No theme park should put "Coaster" in a roller coaster's name, otherwise it looks dumb.

Cool idea, but I dont want to see a park in Australia overrun with Chinese knock-off rides such as the terrible SLC knockoffs. I've been on them, they are horrible rides.

No. Just no. Cyclone shouldn't have the the old Sea Viper cage trains.

I guess something like Intamin, if they make trains on their own since their restraints certainly resemble that of the "racing harnesses" Its a big shame, it would have been god awesome if DW decided to get lap bars instead of OTSRs, that way no-one would have to bother with headbanging.
