  1. JDS is no way a set of Dodgems, so please stop referring to it as such. This is a unique ride for most kids. Where else can they drive a car with some sense of freedom without being arrested? Sure, Dreamworld has the Model- T's but they are on rails. There is no sense of freedom. Don't compare JDS to Dodgems. That's like comparing the Bermuda Triangle to the WB Kids Splash Zone; it's just not right.
  2. They have an safety spiel that mentions the rules. They also have signs posted up in the queue area stating the rules. Most of the kids don't listen to them, though.
  3. The barrel rolls are easily the worse part of all of Arkham. I can handle the drop, the roll over isn't too bad, the hill is fine, the sidewinder isn't the worst but then you hit the barrels and everything goes downhill. It is an SLC though, so we shouldn't exactly be expecting B&M smoothness.
  4. Geez. That's pretty bloody expensive. Surely they could just let 15 people in for the afternoon?
  5. Just noticed something. On the Theme Parks website, it says Fast Track Mazes and not just Fast Track. The Ultimate Terror Tour also includes priority queuing for the rides. Could Fast Track be available on the night for the rides?
  6. I would kill to go on the Ultimate Terror Tour. If anyone is going on the tour, would they be able to do up a little Parkz update or a trip report for us? So those of us that don't have the funds can see what the mazes look like with the lights on?
  7. Two tours are available. Behind The Screams Tour Behind the Screams Tour is an exclusive informational walking tour providing an overview of this years Live the Terror event. The Ultimate Terror Tour This exclusive experience is the ultimate way to Live the Terror at Fright Nights. 8. It seems like they have really upped the ante this year. Can't wait to see what they have in store for scare zones and shows. Fingers crossed for a screening of Rocky Horror in the Roxy!
  9. A commercial for the Wolf Creek maze has been released.
  10. Saw the Tornado from GL today and I gotta say, it's looking almost brand new. That's why I brought it up, since Wet 'n' Wild was looking pristine while WWW looked almost unkept
  11. Some really nice cinematography in that video. Looks like a great ride. It's not enough to make me get a season pass, but this and the Wipeout is really starting to make me think about buying one.
  12. Went on Mini Cars today. It was actually pretty enjoyable for an adult. A lot of adults also enjoyed it as well. As much as everyone was diss appointed that this was the replacement for the River Ride, I think it fills the family ride demographic in the park excellently. My favourite part of the whole ride was all the little touches. In Scooby's castle, you could hear the Daphne spiel from the elevator, in the Gotham section you could see Catwoman's silhouette, and on the Superman building you could clearly see all the news articles and posters located in SE's queue posted on the outside of the building. Definitely a good addition to the park.
  13. Saw some of the progress on the Triple Vortex on my way home from Movie World. So far it looks like it's almost done. Not too sure on the colour scheme though. On that note, has anyone at WWW heard of paint? Because all the slides were looking visibly tired and faded.
  14. Now I finally know what show haunted my childhood. Thanks ABC!
  15. Wet 'n Wild has posted some images on Facebook regarding Wet 'n' Wild Junior. I'm not sure if I am breaking the new image posting rules but if I am, feel free to tell me and I'll change this post
  16. From those photos, the ride is actually looking really good. I'm sure this will be a hit with families.
  17. I know this is probably a bit hard to answer, but dut you guys have any estimations as to the dimensions of the cars so we could know whether we might be able to fit?
  18. I meant I'm not keen on the Wolf Creek franchise. Everything else about the event looks to be great!
  19. Well the final maze has been announced. Personally, not too keen on it but there could be worse...
  20. Quick Question: Generally, how bad is the second weekend? I know that in the first few days they are trying to get into the swing of things, but I was wondering if most opening night issues would be resolved or would it be a better experience to go later?
  21. ^Sorry I contributed to that. I just took the news as new designs, not all new IP's and original content. Is it just me, or is the event cheaper? Also, its good to see the season pass return.
  22. They wouldn't. It would just be a mess of different settings, stories and characters.
  23. Imagine experiencing the same thing as what happened in the season 1 finale. That would make my year!
