  1. I can't remember sound playback on my first ride, although on my second I could hear the audio from the person sitting next to me. Seems like they're still trying to fine-tune things. All sound appears to be coming out of the headset.
  2. Well looks like i'll stop being so tight-lipped and give into peer pressure Maybe my opinion might be a little biased considering this way my first VR coaster ever, but it was an absolute blast. I felt like I was in sensory overload for the next hour or so.
  3. I've been lucky enough to go down the rabbit hole that is VR on AA a couple of times now, and it really is a great ride. I'm going to try and not spoil the experience, but it is quite comfortable and easy to set-up. The visuals are also quite a nice treat as well. Would I ride it again? For $5 I'll probably be looking at riding this at least once a trip. I'm starting to fall into a mad love with VR and I find this to fix almost all my issues that I originally had with Arkham Asylum's distinct lack of themeing. Congrats to all the team that put effort into this experience. I'm sure most people will be more than satisfied with the ride.
  4. It was mentioned last year that the winners of the film festival will have their short film featured as either a maze or a precinct. Given that all four mazes have been announced, I thinks it's safe to say that I'll be a precinct.
  5. I'm going to take an educated guess and say he made it in Photoshop
  6. It's not that intense or nauseating IMO. Comparable to the Wipeout and maybe a little bit less than the Claw. The problem that a lot of us faced yesterday was that we didn't just ride it once and call it a day; we had up to 7 or 8 rides in a row. After about 3 or 4 cycles, a lot of us started to feel ill.
  7. Looks like you're on the money, @Theme Park Ninja. This was the façade from the "Dusk til Dawn" maze at Halloween Horror Nights a few years back. The resemblance is clear to see
  8. Everyone has really said all that's needed to be said about the Star Tour. It was an absolutely amazing experience that I'm probably never to going to forget. It's up there with my first trip to Disneyland as one of the best times I've ever had at a theme park. Congrats to Greg and all the team that put their time and effort into the day. It was truely special, and everyone should be extremely happy with the product that they have produced.
  9. It's so odd looking at the concept art. I know it's a new ride with a new story and setting, but all I can see is the Hollywood Tower Hotel staring right back at me. It'll be interesting to see what changes are made, but I can't say I'm enthused. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is one of the newest classic rides at the Disney Parks, so it saddens me to see one of them go away. Disney spent years to try and make DCA seem cohesive, but now it seems like that's going to all go out the window.
  10. I just checked the Paradise Country site and it seems that I can book an Eco Tent for this weekend, so I think it's a fair assumption that they're up and running or at least close to it
  11. The campout/sleepout was the idea of scare actors being out all night, scaring guests in and around a campsite (whether at Paradise Country or not). That would be a logistical nightmare in my opinion. People do have to sleep at some point, plus it would be a pain to get staff to work the graveyard shift... What I meant was the idea of seeing a package deal between Paradise Country and Fright Nights. Bundling accommodation and event tickets before marketing it off as something Fright Nights related (in most cases it would probably be Friday the 13th).
  12. While the sleep out is unlikely, do you think they might do some sort of cross-promotion or accommodation deal with Paradise Country and Fright Nights? It could make for a relatively easy tie-in...
  13. Despite what I've learnt from my time in school, looks like I'm giving into peer pressure . All booked and ready to rumble!
  14. When are some of the other Parkz members going? I would love to go, but I would feel pretty awkward being on my own
  15. These costumes aren't based on the films; they're based off of DC Comics new 52 Universe. While it may not be as detailed as the costumes found in the DC Film universe, it certainly looks impressively close to the source material.
  16. Sounds like a great little add-on tour. $300 seems quite reasonable for what's included. Also, great videography as always @Slick. I knew there was something more to that day then just eServe when I saw you at SE, but I just couldn't figure out what it could have been.
  17. I take it that you read the article on Our Worlds?
  18. Could we at least get the shitposting to stay just on Parkz? I think it's quite bad that a lot of people in this community are going about and vandalising Wikipedia just for a quick joke. If you wanna have a laugh about the next "Churro Coaster" or "Hyper Wooden Flying Wing-Rider with a LSM launch", don't go vandalising Wikipedia to do so.
  19. Sent a email a day ago to Aussie World asking about the Wild Mouse, and this was their response Maybe the future for the mouse isn't too bright?
  20. Aussie World's site says it's down for maintenance until the 31st of July.
  21. From what I've seen, Eco Tents seem to be a more permanent accommodation option while also having the experience of traditional camping (i.e glamping). Think a demountable cabin but rather than being made of more conventional materials, it would be made out of a typical tent mesh with a steel support frame underneath. I'm not the best at explaining things, but hopefully this makes it a bit easier to comprehend
