  1. If anyone has seen Valravn they have wheels on the side that they leave it on because according to B&M it stops the train from bending when not in use.
  2. @Theme Park Girl It just says closed for weekdays. It does not give any dates to it.
  3. But for them not to announce it now or soon when people are planning their international/inter state holidays for Christmas and September now. So it's a wasted chance to really draw a big hype and attract interstate/international visitors. Even if the announcement was MW offically saying that they have Australia's biggest roller coaster coming this year or something like that at least and maybe a few simple teasers to build hype and make the GP aware of it. All they need to do is look at AW and Abyss. They went as far as having guardians showing up all around Perth doing PR stunts.
  4. I think they should take a page out of AW's book. Look how well they marketed Abyss and Kraken. They started doing teaser billboards around the park and giving social media teasers from March when the ride opened in September/October. Plus the PE stunts.
  5. That coaster design looks AWsome! If this coaster has a layout anything like that this coaster will really be up there!
  6. So looking at AW's building permits. They have now gotten approval to build a high voltage substation as Mark spoke about last year. (That was the 1.5 million dollar HV ring. So this means they should be able to build some more big rides and power them! I have noticed looking at the dates the permits are placed is that AW seems to get permits to build the rides just before construction starts IE April and May for MI1&2. So there are currently no permits for MI3 or trademarks.
  7. I could see it happening only if they put another attraction in between this Hyper and DD area. As they would need it then.
  8. I would laugh if MW are just gonna do a Cedar fair on us and give it a weird creature name and paint job. Without a theme but just nicley landscaped.
  9. I think Dreamworld should make that ride considering they now use the Pure Imagination song in their add.
  10. Also keep in mind there is a footing across the road in the car park and some in the green lantern space.
  11. So are the supports a grey, charcoals or black? ??? So here's a new topic for the next 20 pages. When do people think vertical construction start?
  12. Well one thing is for sure, a pink Hyper Coaster at the very front of MW is going to make for one hell of a statement. It will defiantly be visible.
  13. Hints of a new theme for gold rush. Medieval land. ???
  14. So according to channel 7 this wil be the largest and fastest roller coaster in Australia. Geez faster than Superman Escape and TOTII this must be fast. ???
  15. All the track peices will arrive very close together. They are currently at the shipping docs. (Well where there. God knows how much are already on trucks making their way to MW.) the shipping yard would want to get rid of all those sea containers ASAP as they are just sitting there wasting space. So my bets are we will see the whole or most of the coaster parts arrive very soon.
  16. There is also The Thunder Bolt (Bells amustments) and Rock N Roll (Chants amustments). Plus The rage (L&L Osbroune Showtime amustments) is the same ride type but instead of hanging the cars are on rails. Here is a link to how the ride gets set up. This version requires 2 trailers and takes a long time to set up as they build it from scratch. This is why it only gets used once a year. Instead most other versions still have 2 trailers but the whole roof folds in. Like below:
  17. Hmmm I wonder if MW or anyone in Australia will ever be able to top a roller coaster for this size. Good luck MW's next roller coaster!
  18. Keep in mind in the off peak, on rides with multiple ride vehicles they will be doing annual maintenance on the cars not in use. IE Superman's 2nd train or one of Green Lanterns multiple trans.
  19. @Luke according to the Parkz data base Wet N Wild Gold Coast's tornado is a 60 and the same with all the online information I found. However you are right in that pro-slides has it listed as a 45. Below are pictures of tornado's 45& 60 and it looks like Wet N Wild is defiantly a 60 and that there is an error. The Perfect storm main tornado is a 60 and the 2 other ones are 24s. I don't think there are any tornado's 45 in Australia. We will have to wait and see with what size Adventure Park gets. This is a 60 and this is a 45 and this is Wet N Wild GC's Tornado
  20. So how many tornado 60's are there in Australia now. * Kraken * Wet N Wild one * Wet N Wild Sydney one * The Green Room * The Perfect Storm * Funnel Web *This one Any more that I am missing? It seems like these are very popular rides.
