  1. To compete with VRTP in the short to mid term IE 3-5 years they need to build the following to remain competitive in my opinion on top of the current roller coaster; Another major coaster after this one (thrilling) One major flat ride (Thrilling and high quality) A major family ride (ideally water based) A high quality family/ kids based dark ride
  2. They didn't say Buzzsaw will be closed, They said its time is limited and is an extremely unpopular attraction. They also said a pipeline of new rides and attractions are being developed.
  3. @Brad2912 the ABC kids world project and Master plan of dreamworld has been put on hold. They want to see what attendance is like and how Covid plays out before spending more Capex. Considering they are focusing on finishing WWW, the new coaster and Side winder update projects. (I also believe Buzzsaw is also closed to help construction of the new coaster to happen along with waiting on said part.) I have no doubt in mind the reason for closing BRC ride was to begin initial works for the ABC kids world redevelopment which includes a new ride. However as there are a lot of variables in the air at the moment they don't wanna announce when this project will happen as it's not a priority. Same with the Flow Rider, with all that land free it seems like the park is gearing up for its next attraction to be built in the far end of Ocean Parade. As somebody who listened to the conference call; when asked about whether they needed more rides to be built quickly to make up for the ride removals. John Responded saying "There is an entire pipeline of new attractions and rides planned for the next phase after the new Coaster."
  4. So on the conference call: Buzzsaw is waiting on a part, Roller coaster expected to start construction in October, Buzzsaw will open before Christmas and will be open till at least until the coaster opens. More attractions in the pipeline and works. Buzzsaw isn't really popular and sounds like might be the next attraction to leave. Also Sky Voyager is being looked into changing up the ride video.
  5. Main summaries: Ardent leisure has $161.6 Million Cash as off 30th Jun (Compared to $92.3 million year prior) Net Debt as off 30th June was $78.4 Million, a reduction compared to $87.3 million in June 2019 Revenue increased $2.3 million, up 4.7% on a 35 week like-for-like basis vs prior period for theme parks EBITDA loss excluding specific items of $2.5 million on a 35 week like-for-like basis, an improvement of 56.4% compared to the prior period Investments continue on new rides such as Sky voyager, Fully 6 and a new multi-launch roller coaster Corporate costs reduced by $9.4 million or 62.1% on a pro forma basis compared to FY19 Dreamworld: Venues closed on 23 March 2020 and remained closed for the balance of FY20 and into FY21 As a result, 804 or 91% of our team members were stood down temporally leaving approx 60 FTE's to complete essential tasks and prepare a plan for reopening Strong focus on cash preservation and generation On 23 March, cash available to the Australian Business was $33.1 million and as at the date of this presentation, this amount is largely unchanged: Ceasing all non-essential operating and capital expenditure The sale of a small parcel (5,630 sum) of surplus lan was completed in June 2020. The sale price of $2.5 million was 250% of the pre-covid book value The Dreamworld LEGO store continued to trade and recorded revenue growth of 11.4% compared to prior corresponding period. The Queensland Government provided a $3.0 million great in July 2020 under its Queensland Tourism Icons Program 2020 to fund working Capital and approved capital expenditure. The Federal Government's JobKeeper scheme provided approximately $6 million of direct support to our stood down team members. Reopening Dates: Sky point reopened on 10 July 2020 and current trading is cash neutral including support from the JobKeeper Scheme Subject to no further COVID-19 restrictions being imposed, Dreamworld and Whitewater World are expected to reopen on 16 September 2020, prior to the commencement of school holidays. Covid safe plans for all venues have been approved. In the case of Dreamworld and WhiteWater World the plan allows up to 50% of historical Capacity. The cost base for Dreamworld and Whitewater World has been reduced by $10-$12 million per annum compared to normalised FY20 levels. The reduced cost bas will provide scope to drive volume and market share. Reopening Plan: Economic environments calls for a focus on targeting the local SEQ drive market International markets may no return for two years and interstate markets are likely to be restricted for some time The only reliable market we can target is local SEQ drive market Reopening product. All attractions art the recently refurbished and improved WhiteWater World are expected to be available from the reopening date. Based on low demand in cooler months WhiteWater World will move to a seasonal trading model. Construction of the new $32 million world class launch roller coaster will commence as soon as possible and this new attraction is expected to open in the second half of CY21. Several Iconic attractions such as the SideWinder roller coaster and popular Pipeline Plunge water slide complex are currently being extensively refurbished and rebranded and will add to the many improvements made to the parks over the last two years. A detailed review of the ride and attraction usage has been carried out and the ride count at Dreamworld will be permanently reduced by two in order to remove duplication. The remaining ride count will be comparable to our closest competitor and presets a diverse range of kids, family and thrill rides. Areas and attractions within our Dreamworld Corroboree percent will be temporarily closed pending the return of international and interstate markets. Its planned to continue successful events introduced last year such as Happy Halloween and winterfest. 6. We do have a lot of seasonal parks that have this issue every year. See Adventure World, Funfields, Gumbya World, Adventure Park Geelong, Raging Waters Sydney. All these parks would have been due to open up in just over 4 weeks time. So will see what happens with them.
  7. Well they can’t keep the existing train wrap covered in hot wheels imagery.
  8. It seems they wanna press ahead with the coaster. But at the same time you wouldn’t wanna build the coaster and not be able to get MAck into the country to commission it and you paid $32 million dollars for a ride to sit empty. Like currently is the case with Vortex.
  9. I’m hoping that as flow riders aren’t expensive it’s being closed and a new one will be built down the track. However the new one being built inside WWW not dreamworld. Also hopefully the BRC ride closing for good means the ABC kids world revamp is finally happening along with buzzsaw closing for construction of the new coaster to commence. Also side note; I thought mega threads weren’t allowed anymore?
  10. Everybody should chill out and have a great weekend! Now I feel like having ice cream... 😂
  11. I’m surprised it took that long for those plans to be posted on parkz. These plans had been online on tenderone for 3 months now.
  12. @themagician would you be able to get the latest nearmap for Adventure world and Funfields if possible please?
  13. So batwing just broke down and Scooby is still closed. Movie world currently only has 2 major rides opened Rivals and Justice league.
  14. But that doesn’t make it ok. Your basically sending a message to your pass holders saying we don’t give a crap about you, just your money, when 75% off your attractions are closed. Could you just imagine seeing a maccas with a sign saying we don’t have any fries, but still selling them for full price but just giving you the box? But saying well we had a sign up?
  15. But did they still sell you chicken products and say well the sign says we don’t have any chicken?
  16. So if thats the case the park should honestly close down until they get more rides back online. The brand damage of having next to no rides open is so bad for the long term image of the park. They have no Major rides past the fountain open (Rides not shows) Those who say well they have posted it on their website so guest shouldn't expect more rides open is also crap. When I buy fast food they don't promise to have the food hot, but I expect it to still be hot.
  17. Nah send it to Adventure World, saves on international shipping.. 😜
  18. They have halted all none essential capital, they have fired 50 people who were essential to day to day operations and they have no money. I don’t see them building this coaster for a long time.
  19. It’s great to see some great promotion of social distancing.
  20. I think people getting annoyed is more to storm being the only ride open, and the massive lack of rides at sea world in general.
  21. From everything I have seen on Facebook the GP think cos the parks had all this extra time closed that all maintenance should be done and every ride should be open. (Not saying this is possible) But if that’s what the public are thinking when you don’t deliver your gonna have massive backlash and bad press. (Assuming the press are at the reopening) Personally I think Dreamworld win this one by taking time to make sure everything is good to go for opening, rather than rushing it.
  22. Ok that’s fine, ardent did the same thing by cutting costs to save money for the share holders which killed 4 people. But nah they have responsibilities to the share holders. So it’s fine. Just because they have responsibilities to share holders doesn’t mean they should reopen the parks without half their rides operating.
  23. Why rush to open if the park won’t have half off it’s attractions opened? Similar story with sea world opening with Jet Rescue closed.
