  1. @ABYSS Well creative works one upped you. They posted this photo. Pay attention to the big steel beam on the floor that is orange. Never mind it looks like the cover for the Rampage carriage. Also you can see the Abyss gateway has been moved.
  2. @ABYSS the most updated images were posted in the Mi3 thread.
  3. They didn't even put a Segway in for the DW part. They just had that sentence not relating to the article in anyway shape or form.
  4. @AlexB I did not know how windy it was at SW. Thanks for that.
  5. Yeah I think some major flat rides not little kid flats could do some good down the back. Something that family's can do but thrill seekers would still do. I do think an S&S extreme swing or a Windseekr/star flyer would be good. But I mean there are loads of options they could choose that could be themed to be apart of castaway bay. However something with height will draw people to that end of the park.
  6. @AlexB Windseekers are cable. I forgot about Wind factor but it would provide great views over the spit. However if Cedar Point can have there's operating surely the wind around SW should be fine.
  7. Keep in mind they still have the SV and reclaimed land they could use. But whatever they do they need some more attractions. If you look on their Facebook page they have tones of complaints about no rides at the park. If they could get one approved a windseeker I think would be a good fit for SW. If they could get a 120 meter tower approved. You would be looking around 8 million to get one in Australia.
  8. Um the pole structure has been completed and we can see that it will swing the other way from the Rampage across to black widow. I personally think that the cutting edge feature that will enhance the ride experience is the Lap bars like Loke. As that will really make the ride experience different from most of the other insulations IE claw.
  9. Judging from VRTP history the announcement will be made like 3 months before VR replacements opening. So I would say in 2019.
  10. @Gazza Mark did say it will have a cutting edge feature that will make it different to the other installations. So I am placing my bets on that feature being lap bars like Loke. Plus the Loke clones are bigger than the claw.
  11. @Slick it definatly the Intamin Gyro swing. The footings match the gyro swing only. If you compare this it looks like Loke. Plus Mark confirmed last year that Mi3 was not a Huss ride due to all their problems with Huss they weren't going to work with them.
  12. @iwerks there are defiantly seats on the left. I think its safe to say its defiantly an Intamin Gyro Swing. Now we just need to find out if its lap bars and the theme!
  13. Looks great @iwerks! Mi3 is looking pretty awesome. The Air Con in Abyss would be a very welcomed addition in the hot summer weather. Still intrigued to what the theme is.
  14. Yes but they ran a competition to let the GP decide against the Intamin hyper or Vekoma hyper. Intamin won however the Vekoma hyper was still a good pitch. I said I hope a park builds the Hyper that Vekoma designed for Energilandia's pitch.
  15. I would love to see a park build the Vekoma Hyper coaster that they designed for Energylandia. Vekoma have been making some cool coasters. BSG is a really awesome coaster.
  16. Mi3 is AW's second most expensive addition Abyss being the most at 12 mill and Mi3 is 500k more than Kraken.
  17. You will also find that Intamin rides break down more because Intamin push the boundaries and try new things which are often not as reliable as a tie thats been made multiple times IE SLC.
  18. @Rollercoaster_Lover I thought TOT2 the only Intamin ride breaking down frequently and I think that's more the fact the TOT2 needs an upgrade on the launching system.
  19. I love how you find the one post to quote in the last page that doesn't say it's an Intamin gyro swing! 😂😂
  20. Make always said the biggest of its kind in Australia so I think we will see a Loke clone which will be cheaper than a custom highest. Loke is 27 metres tall with a swing reach of 42 metres. Which will swing higher than the Abyss tower. So it should add to the skyline hopefully.
  21. I believe Intamin don't make any more than 40 seat version and to custom make a 64 seat version would cost more than 7.5 million. To Mena 64 seats suits the windseeker or star flyer theory but we now know it's defiantly none of them.
  22. So according to Intamin the new Gyro Swing mode has a capacity of 900pph with the new 40 seating gonadal which means this will be a capacity monster the park needs.
