Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster refurb
Tim Dasco replied to Theme Park Girl's topic in Theme Park Discussion
It's more that it would be possible to see VRTP afford to build a cheaper B&M or a RMC. Considering what they are paying for this hyper. -

I think it's rumoured this hyper cost is in the 20-30million AUD price range. Valravn (a B&M dive coaster) costed $18 million USD. So I think I B&M from VRTP is possible in the future. -
So the full update is not available publicicly so I couldn't find it if I looked?

I know there hallow but I mean ones that have a conduit going through them. But on that not very coaster has hollow supports and track. Quiet a few companies fill the supports and track with sand to reduce vibrations and the sound. -
They have said sometime last year an announcement would be made in the next 60 days. That time frame has long gone so I think they always planned to announce it early but some things happened in October so they have decided to wait. But I do think that enough time has passed to move on. (My point of view and other may have different feelings)

I think an interesting thing that people missed here is the fact that there is some electrical conduct inside one of the footings that is believed to be a non inverting loop. Now why would electrical conduct be in this area inside a footing? Judging from the other supports it obvious that it's not for a MCBR, unless there are electronic breaks or trims. I think we might have some LED lighting or sign at the top of the non inverting loop. Maybe not a sign but some lights. Which would be cool if this ride had an awesome lighting package. Which you can see along the main highway. Sort of like the green lantern logo. Or it could be a for a camera for onboard photos or maybe some sensors. Can anyone who goes to MW often confirm if they have seen a hallow support that a conduit can go through or is already going through? -
But what's stopping them teasing or posting ride construction pictures? Even if they don't announce it they could come out and say what was on that banner, "the best attraction in the Southern Hemisphere coming late 2017". Then they are not giving an exact date and they are building hype. They could post that on Facebook and give some teasers. Just look at what Abyss did for AW they advertised and teased the f*ck out of that and that exceeded projections by 200%. Thanks to teasers and marketing strategies. You build it and people will come, but they had to know about it in time to come. Like also mentioned people need time to book holidays and not everyone wants to go to all of the parks when they visit they might only choose one and MW needs to give them that reason. GL's announcement video had animated POVs in the video, so it's very possible to do that.

Theme Park Maintenance Schedules 2017

So it can have maintenance done. Pools and slides still need maintenance done on them. Even if it's something minor like pump cheeks and resealing the pool. -

I am surprised nobody has done that on Wipeout. It has not been open much since October last year. -
What are reasonable prices for theme parks?
Tim Dasco replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
My original point is a pass SHOULD be at least over $150 I would say for 3 parks at least $200 is cheap. But for VRTP to at least offer an extra premium pass that has a lot of extra benefits. Of course costing more than a basic pass if it had extras. But even having a spectate entrance for pass holders does make it quicker for them to scan their card and walk in. I think it's such a bad thing for DW to offer 35 day pass for $35 is in profitable for the park. Yet people want them to build a massive ride to combat the hyper. Coaster's cost more than $35. Plus I think with VRTP building this hyper they should increase pass prices even if it's $5 each. -

10% is pretty sad, AW give pass holders 25% off food and Bev, merch, photos and then 25% off 4 tickets for friends or 50% of 8 tickets for premium pass along with their own entrance and car park. Plus early entry through summer. -

If you include the track peices in the car park it's way longer than Road Runner. -
Not all pass holders go very month. Some may have last been in January before track arrived and some GP might see footers and have no clue that it's for a MASSSIVE coaster. This is why the emails that VRTP send to pass holders should say information about this Hyper to really help get people to stay with VRTP pass.
-
But given how VRTP/MW are not marketing the Hyper the GP won't know about it unless they pay attention or have been to the park lately. So by not annoy Bing the hyper it's actually good for DW as VRTP's big draw card is secret now while people are deciding which pass to renew.

By building a loop on the coaster considering this is based of Flash coaster and that holds the record for the biggest loop. We could potential see this coaster having the new record for the biggest loop in the world. Which would be a cool record to have. Plus a massive loop at the front of the park would look cool. -

Remember flash is on a giant L shape coaster. MW's Hyper is more of an M shape so the way the elements look are going to be different due to the different land in which the coaster has to fit into. -

I will be getting one this year now that I will have my license. They must have closed it on FN when I came in it was latter in the night that I came to get food. But I normally go in December when it's busy and it's closed. -

He did say that a new shop was in the 3 year plan this being the 3rd year. But then again he said that the HV power ring was for next year. So I guess things change order depending on what is deemed more appropriate and that always changes. Has the upstairs part ever been open? I have never seen it open in the last few years. It was even closed on fright nights. -

Do pass holders get discounts at the GC parks? AW gives platinum pass holders 25% discounts and normal pass holders also get a discount on photos, F&B, merch and up to 8 friends at 50% off. -

Ever since 2010 AW have been slowly increasing their prices as they build more and increase the quality of the parks. I would think the GC parks would do the same. Especially MW with this Hyper. -
