  1. We are just going to have to wait and see. Its going to be a long year!
  2. Remember VR is an upcharge. I doubt they would design a roller coaster around what suits an up charge item.
  3. What about putting the offices, maintenance and even storage areas at the back of the property. Not in MW but at the back of the property so it's out of the park areas?
  4. I understand what everyone is saying. But remember this is MW. Look at all the effort they have been doing with theming lately. "Cough" DC Villains Unleashed "cough"
  5. So wait am I actually hearing people say they don't want to see theming? Mind blown!
  6. Is it me or does it look like the conduit stops straight after it leaves the footing. See bottom right.
  7. Dreamworld has more of a kids version where these ones are more family and older kids can go on.
  8. I think they might add a mezzanine or we could see staff offices upstairs. It seems to tall for a single story building. Unless they want an extremely high ceiling.
  9. A Monorail system might actual be a good idea for VRTP to build as a way to get guest around the property. Lets say you park at the new carpark across the road and head to MW first then latter decide to go to WNW for an hour then go to TG for dinner. Saves you either walking a long distance or moving your car loads of times.
  10. I completely doubt VRTP will spend big bucks on theming hotels to either DC or LT. The only way I think it could work would be if they themed a few rooms. IE a superman room, LT room or so on. I think we will just see a new modern look hotel. The question will be is how fancy they want to make the hotel. Remember the more fancy often the higher the price for guest to stay in. Like a 3 star hotel is cheaper than a 5 star hotel.
  11. This would be great @Jamberoo Fan. From MW's prospective not DW's prospective. But for VRTP to encourage people to come and stay at their property and not go to other parks or hotels.
  12. @Jamberoo Fan MW announced it was adding a carpark on the vacant land across the road and the plan is shown in the image in the map above. I would just think the reason for the other carpark would be to provide more parking bays considering they are adding a hotel, TG and other stuff. So they will need more parking bays. I am also going to assume they will build more parking spaces with the hotel.
  13. I think either kids offerings or family offerings. Like family flat rides that even small kids can go on will be MW's focus after the new roller coaster. Lets just look at the past: 2017/2018 roller coaster 2016 Doomsday Destroyer 2014 Junior Driving School 2012 Justice League 2011 Green Lantern Yes there are some family/kids attractions JL and JDS. However in that period there has been 2 major thrilling roller coasters and a semi thrilling flat ride. So I think its safe to say some family/kids rides should be on their way after the new roller coaster. Speaking of JDS I wonder if we will see DD and the villains unleashed area added at some stage.
  14. I totally agree. Thats why in my early post I said if the expanded WB kids to have a few more kids rides or family flat rides will help them out. Considering they can't do a massive dark ride like LTRR now that they built the driving school. They need to at least add something to try and rival DW's family/kids selections and I think this is most likely what we will see after the roller coaster. Regarding what you say about AOS/TG/Hotel and so on. It would really depend on what passes VRTP offer. Lets say if someone was going to the GC for a holiday. They stay at the hotel on the property. If VRTP include in the hotel price entry to MW, SW, WNW, AOS, TG (maybe once or twice ticket), and whatever else they build would be attractive to tourist. (It might be an add on to the hotel price for those who want it) They could even offer early entry to MW for hotel guest. If they add a transport option from the hotel to SW would help. (Maybe a bus that runs a few times throughout the day for a certain price) So lets say your staying in the hotel for the week. In your hotel price you can go to anywhere on VRTP's property as many times as you like in the week. Expect maybe limited to 1 or 2 goes on TG. By doing this they are encouraging you to stay on their property the entire trip. Including meals maybe if they built a restaurant outside the theme parks. You would be spending extra money on all your meals, souvenirs, games on top of paying for the stay. It could be great for VRTP's pocket.
  15. Once all this development finishes I think it will change. AOS, MW, WNW, TG, a hotel and Lakeside precinct all on one property.
  16. I think what could help MW is some family flat rides or a few more rides into the kids area. As DW has a great selection for the family. (Dreamwork's and ABC areas)
  17. I am going to say its quality V quantity. MW has amazing quality attractions and DW have more cheaper attractions. So in the eyes of the GP DW would seem better as it has a lot more to do. But it really depends on how MW market the park once all these additions are done and if they offer a pass that allows you to do all theme parks, Top Golf and the Lakeside precinct. Or when you stay in the hotel you get the same pass and maybe early entry.
  18. That's why I said a small indoor section to add to the ride time and build up the story. It is possible to make a roller coaster go taller than TOT2. But something like TTD or MF with inflation and exchange rate you are looking around 40+ million AUD. Even if the coaster itself only cost 25 million USD to build in 2003. So it depends on how much MW want to spend. But considering Revenge of the mummy at USS is only 20 million USD I would much rather something like that then a TTD.
  19. @AlexB I thought that I read in an article a long time ago they said "Worlds best theme park draw cards". So thats why I mentioned it. I don't mean it needs a massive indoor section. Just something small like a pre lift section to set up the story line. Like lets say the coaster is a launched coaster themed to the Flash. (Just using this as an example as some people have suggested this) The small pre-launch section could have a few scenes relating to the flash before the launch. This is only an example. I am not meaning a massive indoor section. Like if you took SE's indoor section away. Would people still say it's the best roller coaster in Australia?
  20. Remember bigger is not always better. It could be something like Maverick. But for it to live up to the hype of "Worlds best theme park draw card" I am hoping for a decent dark section of the ride. Like Superman, Abyss and so on. Unless they go for a tall Giga coaster to try and beat Tunnel of Terror's height. But considering TOT2 is 377 feet tall and a strata coaster is 400 feet plus. If they were to beat TOT2's height it would more likely be a Strata coaster. Top Thrill Dragster is only 15 meters taller than TOT2. So I doubt they would be trying to go for the tallest roller coaster in Australia. But if they get a hyper coaster they could always advertise saying the tallest full circuit roller coaster in Australia.
  21. I don't know why I said she. I didn't even read the name.
  22. Maybe she does not know what the Gold Coast is?
  23. Thanks @themagician. Hopefully they will update it soon.
  24. Thanks @themagician that looks great. Would anyone be able to please cheek if there is a newer near maps image of AW past June? Thanks
  25. I don't quite know what to say to that….
