  1. Remember too. When BB was being produced under the pre recorded format, the house was quickly built in Sydney Olympic park in one of the pavilions. And then after in a purposely built compound still in Sydney Olympic Park. building the house wouldn’t be an issue for dreamworld, they’ve done it successfully before, and for many years too. The park has changed since then, So the location would have to be different, but it’s definitely not out to the realm of possibility. BBAU has been marketed as family friendly for many years (not counting late night eps, and the love island version) and compared to their UK and US counterparts, yes BBAU is very family friendly. (I didn’t expect this thread to kick off like it did. Thanks to whoever made this its own thread)
  2. It wouldn’t be in the same location as the old BB house, I could see it however popping up more onsite with easier access for crew and visitors. Locating it up the back of the park would strategically give that area more foot traffic throughout the day. with all the success of the park, with many lingering announcements on the horizon, I could see them throwing another curveball. After all Dreamworld has revitalised their logo recently to look like its original logo, they’ve taken the effort to touch up a lot of their classic buildings. They themselves are also touching on their old format. This would be the cherry on top. like I said. May be wishful thinking. But it would be a perfect pairing again.
  3. Exciting news for Big Brother Fans. A new season has been announced, it’s back on 10, and back to its original format. Live Nominations/evictions, and 24/7 livestreams from the house. the advertising is going heavy with it being back to its ‘original roots’ so it would be very interesting to see if they approach Dreamworld to be the home of the show again… would be a crazy full circle moment for them, and would bring a lot of people to the park. it would require a full rebuild, as the house is no longer there, but it could be a possibility.
  4. I think ‘M3gan’ would suit Fright Nights really well, Along with ‘Smile’. But as they’re Universal Pictures and Paramount Picture respectively, I don’t see that happening at MW. Which is a shame, because they would be hits without a doubt.
  5. I was extremely excited to see this news so naturally I decided to look into it. I had a heart attack when I saw the starting price per person for a 2 night cruise tho!! Ive been on many cruises, And I love them. But almost $800USD, ($1160AUD) per person for 2 nights is very very very expensive. That’s $3200USD for a family of 4 to stay for 2 nights (converting it to AUD would cost this family of 4 $4650AUD, and that’s for an interior room without a window) 3 night Cruises through P&O for instance is half that price per person. I know your paying for the Disney experience. But $800USD per person compared to $400AUD per person is an extreme price hike, especially for a measly 2 nights. Apparently they’re looking at a possible location in Adelaide. So we may have a Disneyland soon.
  6. I have always said Jamberoo would benefit greatly with more “Dry Attractions” having a section of the park sectioned off for Dry Rides, such as kids rides, a drop/launch tower, a few thrill flat rides and a rollercoaster would expand the park greatly, but also appeal to those audiences wanting a day out without being sopping wet all day. Having a section of just Dry Attractions could also mean Jamberoo’s opening season could be expanded, potentially opening all year round with only the water park portion closing for the winter seasons. I would be the first to put their hands up to run the dry side of the park all year round. just a dream, but a dream I hope one day will come true.
  7. This was an image attached to LPs Email. I’m noticing SLC Track. 🤔 8BD595A2-21D1-41EE-B880-3556E99389C3.webp
  8. Yeah looking at the plans, I realised it’s very much just for kids. but I still can’t ask enough… why another miniature railway?! We literally have the Illawarra Live Steamers, the Illawarra Light Railway Museum Society and then Penwood Railroad inc. just a little further south of Wollongong. we literally have 3 places that offer the same thing already!!
  9. There has been no news about this until now, I even had no idea this was in the works, until I saw a news article (which I can’t read due to a paywall). I managed to find the image online to share with you. looks like a family based amusement park with a few miniature railways and a few small rides. Not bad for Stanwell Tops. only thing I don’t like about it personally, is the fact that we have 2 other miniature railways driving distance from Stanwell tops, and as far as I’m aware, they’re not the crowd pullers they use to be.
  10. I’m a part of the Theme Park Review Facebook Group and someone in the group asked if anyone knew what the manufacturer of the HMS Endeavour was from Wonderland. I instantly thought Huss, or possibly Intamin as they use to work with Intamin, but upon trying to research the ride, not much is known about the manufacturer. so I thought I’d come here to see if anyone can share some more about the ride
  11. With big dippers opening date hopefully in December. When do you think we may see full circuit testing?
  12. Any updates on leviathan? It’s been a while since an update was made.
  13. With the recent announcement of Cedar Point removing Wicked Twister in September, a piece of me is wishing and hoping Dreamworld grabs it, being a thrill coaster with a higher capacity than Buzzsaw. most likely not gunna happen and will probably stay within the Cedar Fair Chain, but I can wish
  14. That land would fit a Mack PowerSplash. I believe that would be perfect as a ToT and RHLR replacement
  15. I’m pretty sure Universal is using “The Haunting of Hill House” as a maze. I’d love to see them use that IP this year, but as Universal is using it, I doubt it.
  16. That is for the view of Jamberoo!! The construction for Velocity Falls is making me excited!! It’s gunna be big!!
  17. Agreed. Its almost as if they’re trying to kill the Theme Park industry in Australia.
  18. I’m currently watching and all I can say so far... I’m very annoyed!! This whole program is about deaths and disasters. Completely portraying a negative view on the industry.
  19. https://www.kotaku.com.au/2021/06/sega-theme-park-australia/?fbclid=IwAR2SmaKdpe2VcwrWOkZu3lGlm8HQ6NqqOrU2E8lqZIcxbIV5ibt9KWi9B5g I saw this article online and thought it would be best to share it on here for everyone to read and discuss!! Who here has memories of Sega World when it was originally in Darling Harbour? and has anyone experienced any others from around the world?
  20. I was legit about to post that comment too. It was posted on the Movie World Fan Club group on Facebook.
  21. Was at jamberoo today. they’ve completely Excavated the plot of land where “Splash Out” use to be, slide is no more and splash pool is demolished. They’re really getting a head start!! I would have photos, but I didn’t have my phone on me. Sorry.
  22. My apologies. I completely forgot the Giant drop was built after TOT. Whoops, that’s embarrassing
  23. As far as I’m aware, the “Tower or Terror” was the name of the tower itself, and when the coaster was built, it took that name. I could be wrong, but I’m sure the name painted on the tower was there before the Tower of Terror itself.
  24. I’m hoping with the maintenance happening on Batwing Space Shot, and it may be far fetched, but I’m hoping they extend the tower to make it taller, and add the new S&S Spin Shot seats. this will bring new life to the ride!!
