  1. Well Scooby's 'line up two behind each gate' spiel does it too... and that's not part of the theming.
  2. Well, at least the attractions in Dreamworld don't have the safety spiel in an American accent *cough* Superman Escape *cough*.
  3. Doubt we're getting anything major with the stuff happening at MW this year.
  4. A major refurbishment hey? Zombie Evilution isn't in a bad condition, so it's obviously not a spruce-up refurb, probably something more along the lines of the attraction actually changing a bit. If Zombie Evilution was to go, that space as well as the stingray space and possibly some of the remaining thunderbolt land could accomodate a fairly decent rollercoaster. Or, a dark ride (wakey wakey push).
  5. If it was to be replaced, I'd want to see a spinning coaster. Replacing a wild mouse with a wild mouse is a bit boring. Replacing a wild mouse with a spinning coaster makes it a completely different experience, while appealing to the same audience as the mine ride.
  6. I personally think Green Lantern was a good replacement for the empty spot of land.
  7. Well, it doesn't take a genius to work out that it's the right hand side.
  8. That looks around accurate, with the Boot Hill area probably going to be the space for the queue.
  9. It's all getting real now! I'm going to assume we'll probably hear an official announcement on the ride in the coming weeks now that work has started.
  10. Yeah I worked that out, it was just at a first glance that I saw that The thing with a new ride going in the stingray area is that there is not much room there for a major attraction. Possibly it could just be a small family ride being planned for that space?
  11. I read that as 'I saw three Chinese tourists walking on the TOT2 tracks'.
  12. But Ninja, we all know they added a new rollercoaster on Boxing Day! Why would you add another one the next year? It's such a unique and amazing new addition and a completely different experience to other rides at the park! (Although it does remind me a bit of that Cyclone rollercoaster, I wonder what happened to it?)
  13. Definitely a powered coaster For something to be classed as 'world's best' it would have to be a launch or a mega. A spinning coaster would never live up to 'world's best', unless...
  14. I also heard the same on CoasterForce. That was just a rumour however, I haven't heard of any proof.
  15. Fun fact: Only half the posts in this topic are actually on-topic
  16. Two? So Eureka... and... Skylink? Or maybe they're rebuilding thunderbolt
  17. You don't remember that? It certainly sticks around in my mind. Definitely was so much more fun back then, and the restraints were really comfortable too!
  18. The park was busy, but not extremely busy. Most flat rides were a 15-20min wait, with the rollercoasters all being 40-50 minutes. Didn't see how long the log and rapids rides were. A few things I have to say: I miss when Buzzsaw was really smooth, it really has gotten very rough and it gave me a bit of a headache today. The queue on this was 45 minutes at the very start of the day, due to the relatively large number of ride express users that decided to come here first. Fortunately, the staff were only letting one group of ride express users through at a time, is this a park-wide rule or just something that staff member was doing? Anyways, that worked fine until one ride express guy decided to complain, saying that he was allocated a slot at 10:45, and wasn't on the ride at that time. The time at that point was only one or two minutes after 10:45. Sigh. Some people just have no patience and don't understand how the system works. The staff member decided to applease him by letting through all the ride express users on that cycle, meaning 3/4 of the train was already taken. Luckily I was at the front of the line and was one of the two non-express groups to get on that cycle. Zombie Evilution had 3 staff members on duty, so the queues were cycling really fast making it a really short wait. Unfortunately, eventually that meant only two staff members were needed, so the third staff member decided to stay in the arena as an extra player. Unfortunately, he still used the yellow staff lights, making him invincible and able to shoot whoever he liked. Kinda annoying because he was the main source of shots hitting me, but also added an extra challenge so looking back on it, it was pretty good that he was there, adding a new element to the game. He ended up racking up more points than the winning team. Shoutout goes to one of the staff members, for actually being enthusiastic about everything and not being 1) a control freak that just shouts at you non-stop or 2) an obviously bored staff member who says what they need to say and then not much more.
  19. Okay, that doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully the overcast weather might turn a few people off, or people might be saving until Straya-day.
  20. Heading to DW tomorrow, what sort of crowds should I expect?
  21. It would be an interesting concept to use VR on Eureka. That way they wouldn't even have to spend money making the interior look pretty. It could also be used to spruce up the Motocoaster, make it feel like you really are on a proper motorbike instead of a knee-crushing plastic replica of one that winds around a boring yellow track in the middle of the bush.
