  1. I just find it to look too 'Brisbane River brown'. It could probably be a bit less brown than that. But I guess it doesn't look like an algae golf course any more, so that's a good thing.
  2. @lifeofsamage Spotty is a MW ex-employee so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about. So yes 6 staff a needed for 2 trains.
  3. WWF? Decommissioned? It's the best flume ride on the GC, and is even close to being up there in the world's best flume rides. It's not going anywhere soon.
  4. Looking at what Village Roadshow have done in previous year's, we'll get an announcement plenty of time before it opens. I'd presume we'd get a few teasers, maybe something to do with the theme pretty soon, and then a big announcement when construction starts and people are able to get an idea of what's being built.
  5. So? Let me point out a few things: - That is a Vekoma Boomerang, not an Arrow Custom Looping Coaster. Completely different layouts. One is even a shuttle coaster. - It is the 'Hot Wheels Sidewinder' not the 'Sidewinder', so they're two different names. - Vekoma makes that style of train. Vekoma built the train for the Boomerang. Vekoma built the train for HWSW. Just a coincidence they have similar names. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
  6. Oh your poor, poor legs. But why AA when they could open Superman instead?
  7. The DJ is kinda annoying, he looks kinda awkward there... reminds me of the other day on the wipeout. They had three staff members, and the third spent her whole day standing outside the wave letting people through onto the ride when she needed to. While the ride was going she just stood there dancing to the music... but she looked so awkward and was kinda making a fool out of herself ? I guess it's still less awkward than standing there doing nothing. And she was pretty nice too.
  8. You realise that replacing the ride completely would probably be more efficient than re-doing the layout?
  9. Well, technically every area, since you never specified what anniversary it is
  10. This has been discussed before, as well as the fact that it would be very hard and costly to achieve a full repaint.
  11. Kevil Hill was only closed in off-peak periods, and I'm pretty sure the reason they closed it is because during those times it's too hard to get the minimum 10-person per game requirement during those times.
  12. How does closing Kevil Hill even save that much money... it's a one-staff-member attraction. Surely one staff member's wages can't fund the refurbishment of eureka.
  13. If they can't re-open it, then they better get rid of it and do something with the land.
  14. What a fantastic title. I just hope no-one asks me to recite the name of it.
  15. Maybe someone built a turbine underneath the volcano and it exploded causing fissures to open and the eruption to occur.
  16. Theme it how to it was once a quiet waterpark, but the volcano exploded and destroyed everything.
  17. Yes That Is A Good Idea But Do You Really Have To Speak Like This?
  18. I'm assuming you've seen all the photos of the queue and theming, so I'm going to just post the shots of the ride in motion:
  19. Okay sorry for not getting this up earlier, not sure whether this post goes in here because it's to do with 2015 stuff or in the 2016 thread. The new Motorsports area has been done really well. It turns what was a corner of the park into a new central hub. I started off the day by doing the HWSW. The theming on this has been done very well, I was very impressed. The ride was a walkon since it was first up in the morning. The crates for loose items looked like they were thrown together really quickly, but at least it kinda went with the theme. The trains were very good, and I found the vest harness very comfortable. I did hear some of the larger guests complaining it was a bit too tight on them though. The roughness of the ride has been greatly reduced with these harnesses, there's no headbanging at all which is fantastic, although there's still the rough transitions that the park really couldn't have done anything about. So no, it's not perfect, but if you can handle a few sharp transitions then it won't hurt you. The music wasn't my type of music, but I think it still worked well with the ride. I also felt that the train was moving a lot faster than I remember it before the refurb. The trackside retail outlet looked like it was thrown together quickly, and the Brock museum was empty. It was the start of the day when I checked, so more people might've checked it out as the day progressed. The rest of the day was great too. Wipeout, Claw, Pandamonium, and Giant Drop were all walk-ons, and ToTII was a 10-minute wait. Buzzsaw, the Rapids, the Log Flume, and WWW's slides were all quite a bit longer. Photos will go up soon.
  20. /lock Let 2016 commence! I'll be heading down to DW today... I'll try to take some photos.
