  1. we should have a party when we see the water return. purely for the fact that Dreamworld's actually done something right for once.
  2. I'm curious about how many theme parks we've all been to. I know I can check this out on your profiles, but I've attached a poll to make it quicker (I'm lazy )
  3. if its a third little ripper i will scream until something happens oh wait, im already used to doing that - its dreamworld
  4. would they really be revealing something due in 2016 late 2014?
  5. They might only be releasing the idea 'later this year' and building it in next year's maintenance period And Superman appearing as a character isn't exactly 'exciting'
  6. This has been mentioned in another thread, but this is posted on movieworld's facebook page: Maybe doomsday is going ahead...
  7. ok, sorry to reply to a realyrealyrealyrealyrealy old topic about something that was on page two on this topic, but I've decided to do my lineup about all the dw rides Thrill Rides: Pandamonium - It's ok, but not great. You need a good stomach for the hard style, and the soft style is very boring. BuzzSaw - Don't know about you guys, but I think it's quite a decent ride despite the capicity. If it's a walk on (which it has been several times) I will gladly do it several times in a row. The Tower of Terror 2 - A great ride, although I swear it doesn't go nearly as high as it used to. Still, the theming (even if it is turbines) and lighting is pretty cool. The Cyclone - It's old and needs to be replaced/needs a major upgrade. It's an ok ride experience but it needs something to add a bit of a 'wow' to it. The Giant Drop - It's an amazing ride. Actually, I had a dream about it last night in which there was no queues and we could do it thousands of times over and over again Wipeout - It's pretty good. Good capacity, and once they do the refurbishment (hopefully with new cycles) it should be a fairly decent ride. The Claw - Good capacity again, it's quite fun, even if it is a spin and spew. Motocoaster - Just why? Themeing is s*** ride experience is s***, everything is s***. Sea World were brave by building something similar, but they hit the jackpot with theirs. Family rides: Shockwave - It's okay, good family ride. Rocky Hollow Log Ride - It's old as... compare it to Wild West Falls and it's basically nothing. Even the log flume at sea world is better. Actually, there both pretty bad. Thunder River Rapids Ride - It's a great ride for all ages, I think it's still pretty fun. You get quite wet, but it actually really depends where you sit. Avis Vintage Cars - It's old and needs a lot more themeing. Done. The only kids ride I've ridden is escape from madagascar (back when it was runaway reptar) and for a kid, it's good fun.
  8. It better be pretty tall... otherwise it'll be less 'big 9' than the motocoaster...
  9. maybe they're going to have a mini version of each ride... including bringing back the aquadrop
  10. MCDS has been announced I was hoping they'd do something a bit better with the building but oh well. I want to see how they replicate main street inside a building though... The WNW kids area sounds like a good idea. Will this go on new land, or will they remove a part of buccaneer bay to do this?
  11. but for someone who lives in Brisbane, would I really be bothered to fork out the extra 60 bucks to get a season pass to somewhere I'd only go to only once or twice?
  12. I agree, the tornado's water never seems to be heated... fortunately, I prefer it not to be heated because it really gives you the impression that you're in the middle of the storm
  13. I hope you're right - if you want a power surge, you can go to the ekka. they need to get something more unique if they want to draw in crowds
  14. lol that reminds me of a few weeks ago when I was at movieworld, as was wondering if the cobwebs in the wild west queue were real or fake. then i saw the spider
  15. So many puns! We'll bring about Scooby Doom with all this! That was even worse...
  16. guys i've got to be honest with you - I've only been inside the kids area of movieworld ONCE in my life. And that was to ride the road runner. Didn't even see tijuna taxies. Can someone please explain it to me? is it just one of those things like you get at cheap fun-fairs where you drive around in circles but more themed?
