  1. i would class scooby doo as a family ride...
  2. nope, there's only 1 member reading this now, and that would be me
  3. i actually hope its not MCDS. Would prefer something a bit more... unique (with vintage cars up the road and stuff)
  4. You know, after putting some thought into it, I think a shoot the chute ride would be awesome at WNW.
  5. A B&M flying coaster floorless coaster would be a neat addition to Dreamworld.
  6. Good idea Gazza... a launched (or even just a plain chain lift) infinity coaster would be a great addition to any park.
  7. Where did the edit button go...? Oh well, just wanting to say, that was my 100th post! woo! Yes I know this is pointless and stupid before anyone tries to tell me.
  8. Personally, I'm not a big fan of this idea. Don't see why put something similar to GL when they could do something new to Australia. I'd also prefer to see the rest of thunderbolt's land used for WWW.
  9. Alright. I started this post but I haven't posted my opinion yet. Now's the time. Let's start with Sea World. Would love to see Wild go ahead, but if they end up closing Sea Viper before then, it would be cool if they used the land cleared for Wild to make something huge and really cool. Or, they could shrink Wild, and make a new big, scary, rollercoaster to replace Sea Viper. Now for Movie World. The Gravity idea is a great one, MBA. If you think about it, we haven't actually had a proper 'thrill' attraction since GL in 2011 (and even that's not that scary). The idea to put several flat rides in the river ride building is also a good idea. I'd like to see something big, fun, and unique to Australia. Wet n Wild. Those tables in the extreme H2O zone would make a perfect place for a new attraction. There's also a little room behind Aqualoop where part of the Speedcoaster/Twister was that could cater for a smaller attraction. I wouldn't mind seeing a set of master blasters (NOT like WNW Sydney's, but more like the Crush n Gusher at Disneys Typhoon Lagoon (and they have the tubes for that too )), a White Water West rattler, a proslide tornado wave or tantrum alley (or hybrid tantrum alley/tornado wave/bowl), or something like this. White Water World. They need to use the rest of the Thunderbolt's footprint. Put something that I mentioned in Wet n Wild (of course, not the master blasters). Dreamworld could do heaps. Put something in the place of the reef diver/stingray (even a small rollercoaster like a Vekoma boomerang or Intamin impulse), AND REPLACE THE FRIKIN MINE RIDE!!! Put a spinning coaster or something similar there. Done and dusted. Easy peasy. Yeah, that's my ideas.
  10. Storm Coaster opened a few months ago, something might be happening with the old river ride building at movieworld, and Wild doesn't seem to be going past a pile of sand on the ground. Reef Diver's closing at Dreamworld, who still also have the space from the mine ride and thunderbolt. White Water World has done nothing for years, and Wet n Wild hasn't done anything since the constrictor. What do you want to see?
  11. okay, yes, this is so according to topic but I couldn't find anywhere else to post it so yeah. does theme park business die down on good friday/easter sunday? never tried it before so yeah wondering if it'll be worth it going then and which one of those days would be better
  12. I hope ride sims releases a new australian coaster some time soon. Disney rides? Check. Universal rides? Check. Alton Towers rides? Check. Aussie rides? 1. Just one. I WANT MORE!!!
  13. i have noticed there are a large amount of lego movie posters around the park... hints of an upcoming attraction or just advertising the movie?
  14. so you were at movieworld yesterday too? when did superman reopen? i waited for it all day, and it finally opened around 1:30 or something. got to nearly the front of the queue (was meant to be on next train) then the screens went black and a pre-recorded voice said "it is necessary to evacuate the ride. please stay seated and a staff member will soon be there". two staff members were running through a door at the back of the queue and another told us to exit the queue . i decided to give up and go home.
  15. Hmm... true. Is the area here any better? If they put it there then (ok this could be either an amazing idea or just impossible, probably the latter) they could take the queue (it would have to be enclosed) through this alleyway (I believe it's a staff carpark or route to the sheds or something, which could be redirected (tell me if im wrong)). Ok. I bet that's waaaaaaay too impossible but yeah, just a suggestion. And if it can't go with the harry potter theme, they could easily make it something different.
  16. Um... yeah... that's really weird... some funny bits though!
  17. I'm planning on going to MW/WNW tomorrow. And it might be raining, looking at all the rainy weather and the cyclone up north and stuff. Which one should I go to? (which one would have less crowds?)
  18. I heard that GLFF's cars were weighted differently to other Zacspins' cars to change the amount of maintenance it requires, making the ride more jolting. A Zacspin could work nicely out the front of Movieworld, opposite to GL. Maybe a Harry Potter themed Zacspin? EDIT: Here's a picture to show you what I mean. Sorry for the bad quality.
  19. If Sea Viper is gonna close, I guess it will be sad as it's a pretty iconic Sea World Attraction, but I hope they end up using the space for something great.
  20. Dreamworld might actually be doing something right for once!
  21. not a kids ride... more of a family ride... with moderately fast sections
  22. I was thinking the other day about a great gatsby ride... they could theme it to the cars in the movie... maybe make it a slot car ride like test track or radiator springs racers. It would be pretty cool to do something like that.
