  1. If you look at some of the previous lift hill photos, the lift hill supports connect to the track at a 90˚ angle.
  2. The lift hill? I'd guess around 30-35˚, not too steep.
  3. A "wow" react would be a nice addition too
  4. My favourite part of this upgrade is the ability to react to your own posts (yes I know this is probably a bug) I'll be making the most of these sad reacts.
  5. Ourwords posted an image, maybe @Slick will be kind enough to share it here too.
  6. There's been a fair few accidents when they used to duel, if I remember right someone even lost an eye because of it. Pretty slim chance that the ride comes to Australia but even if it did I'm pretty sure it wouldn't ever duel here.
  7. I don't think they will be - Doomsday's restraints are OTSRs and hold you around the waist, the restraints on Loke look more like they hold you by the legs. I disagree on the whole comfort thing, I'm not a big fan of Doomsday's restraints at all, perhaps that's just because the ride attendants often staple you, but they're far from comfortable in my opinion.
  8. Looks like there's only a few weeks left of coaster construction, which is great since that'll mean they have plenty of time to work on theming and getting the ride tested before opening. That drop looks even crazier than I imagined.
  9. Might as well add the maximum negative G-force of the coaster to this list of requests that MW may or may not address
  10. This would probably have stronger negative G-forces than Abyss though right? Superman pulls -1G, and I would think this would be similar. EDIT: woo 2000th post
  11. I certainly hope not, I doubt the G-forces would be unsafe, the only reason they would be added would be to tone down the ride a bit but surely Movie World would want to make the experience as extreme as they can.
  12. Would love to be those guys up in the cherry picker right now
  13. My bad from this morning, they were actually lifting supports, and the track in the ride area I don't think was part of the airtime hill -it's too twisty. The new banner looks great, although a part of me is a little disappointed they didn't hang it off the coaster. The supports and track I mentioned above: If this piece doesn't get you excited about the ride you're not a true coaster enthusiast. There is more track and catwalk thingys in the crates behind. This is what they were working on today, the airtime here looks like it'll be insane.
  14. Final piece of the airtime hill is in the ride area ready to be lifted into place
  15. That's pretty normal, although I'm surprised Buzzsaw and HWSW are only 10m.
  16. Yeah, a Sea World video would really help them, maybe get a message into a few of the animal protestors' minds.
  17. Nice to see them doing videos on animal and waterpark safety on top of the typical ride safety video.
  18. Another support for the airtime hill is going in as I speak
  19. I'd recommend waiting until next week since QLD school holidays will be done by then (that's certainly what I'm doing anyway)
  20. I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet, it has the potential to be amazing but I need to see it in person to really decide.
  21. No, probably not - don't get me wrong, it looks like a great coaster and something that I would definitely try to ride if I was in Poland, it's just not something that makes me go "I want to go to Poland now" (that said, Energylandia's hyper does, and probably would if it was made by Vekoma too). Intamin, B&M, RMC, and Mack are pretty widely accepted as the "big four" manufacturers, if Vekoma continue the way they keep on going I think they could easily make it to number 6 or 5 on a lot of people's top manufacturer lists (a few years ago they wouldn't have even been top 10 though).
  22. I don't know if it's just the camera mounting, but it looks like it has a little bit of a rattle. I see where you're coming from, but I don't think Vekoma are really that close yet to giving Intamin/Mack/B&M a run for their money, I'd personally prefer a Mack or Intamin over something like this, sure Vekoma are improving and this looks like a good coaster, but it's not something that I would go out of my way for to ride, while Intamin/Mack/B&M/RMC have shown us time and time again they can build something that certainly could. Just my opinion.
