  1. I have a feeling because the rides closure was so sudden it probably wasn’t planned to close that early and because nothing has happened their timeline to receiving the replacement tracks, etc was/is a while away. In its last few months of operating there were hardly any cars on track and there doing nearly a full track replacement, which gives me the impression the ride was in such a bad state and became unsafe that it was too risky to keep open
  2. I thought the same thing because for weeks they’ve been teasing an opening date will be announced soon. And then suddenly at 3pm on a rainy Friday it’s officially open. All of the hype for the ride in the recent months has been really good, but they’ve ended it all a bit flat. And I’m so glad they moved on from the untrue statement of it being a ride-within-a-ride in all of their social posts.
  3. The Flash has appeared on the online queue wait time
  4. That appeared online a few years ago, but the rumour I heard was the top hat height was being increased and it was changing to LSMs. I think TPSN was where I first saw it, but it was indeed false
  5. They did also confirm DC Rivals will be reopening sooner than originally scheduled and the track repaint has been delayed to reduce the amount of ride closures
  6. MW have now confirmed that the queue will undergo a refurbishment to improve its theming and they’ve released some concept artworks
  7. Even just general Warner Bros. Movie World merch is super limited. There’s plenty of WB merch and as you say, general Looney Tunes and DC merch, but that’s about it. A lot of what they’ve got is good too, but it’s not related to the theme park itself, it’s all IP
  8. I wonder if they triggered this on purpose so they could ‘practice’ an evac. Since it was the last ride of the night and wouldn’t delay any guests waiting in the queue, it makes sense they would practice them so they become efficient when it does happen
  9. And this is exactly why soft openings are so important. This is what we like to hear! Hopefully it’s not just new ride things and it continues
  10. They’ll be all new cars similar to the ones that Universal Singapore has. And I’d say there will definitely be a lot more vehicles available since they’ll be brand new and electric
  11. GCTP on YouTube has captured some theming and station gates being stored behind the park (alongside the ride leading to PC)
  12. Aussie World’s new ride is a Technical Park Aerobat
  13. Because it has been ages! We first saw markings on site in February and the slab was poured late April/early May
  14. The track started to arrive during the April 2020 lockdowns (as it was supposed to open December that year), so 20 months after it arrived as it didn’t open until December 2021.
  15. It still amazes me how long this actually took. We first saw movement on site in February 2023 and 15 months later, it’s finally going to open. For comparison, it took about 9 months for Surfrider to open after track first arrived at WnW.
  16. The park has posted a story on their instagram that an opening date announcement will be coming soon.
  17. They're selling themselves short though because they've included the parade and HSD, but not the Roxy Theatre? I'd argue the Roxy Theatre is more of an attraction than Batmobile.
  18. If they’re going to do that, I’d rather they didn’t bother at all. Do it right, or don’t do it at all.
  19. And long term that’s going to be their biggest issue. If you read through comments on their page and fan pages, so many people are warning people to not go, it’s a waste of money and/or they had a horrible experience. But also, there are people asking which park they should visit or if it’s worth going to MW right now and most people are saying don’t bother, go to Dreamworld. It used to be the other way round and it’s taken years for DW to recover, but they are starting to show signs of consistently good crowd numbers and positive customer feedback. I think MW (probably Village in general) got to comfortable and thought they had the best product (which they did for a while), but they became to reliant on that idea and their beloved attractions (Scooby, WWF, Superman and Rivals). People remember those rides the most and they’re the ones people want to ride the most, but when they’re all closed for maintenance at the same time, people see the park as almost having nothing to do and that it’s a waste of time when they can’t ride they’re favourites. DW got rid of all of their fan favourites and they paid the price for it. But now people aren’t necessarily going back because they have the best rides, but because people have a better time and there’s a lot more to do.
  20. Theming enhancements would be awesome, but I think the term ‘enhancements’ is overselling what they’re doing. I believe they are introducing a loose article storage system at the station and then removing the lockers to create additional queue space, with there potentially being a single ride queue.
