  1. Could be for the maintenance of the Green Lantern as it’s closed until October
  2. At this stage I’m just glad to see they’re bridling something at the entry to Leviathan. For a while I was thinking they were just going to slap a sign onto the timber structure and you just entered under the track. I’m hoping there is some form of 3D element to what they’re building here. I’m starting to think they’re going to surprise us with what they pull off here. We had very small previews of inside the station which was very promising. They’ve released what they did with vortex was very poor and are actually trying to make this attraction great, rather than just good
  3. Only the ‘T O W’ to go. Once they’re removed, we should see the tower repaint begin.
  4. They should’ve gone with the ‘rising soon’ term a long time ago.
  5. While walking across the bridge to Topgolf yesterday I noticed this new building under construction. For context it was roughly in this area Does anyone know what this could be for? Could it be a building to replace the function of another which is being demolished. My first thoughts were, I’d the small building SW of the AA being demolished to allow for construction of WoO? But I don’t know what the use or height of that SW building is, so I could be very wrong with that comment. Anyone have any knowledge on this?
  6. It has been added to the PA system automated announcements made. And in regards to tiding up the area leading to and around the Giant Drop, there are plans to once it’s refurbishment is completed.
  7. I visited the park today and they were announcing about minding your head before boarding. I also felt the load/unload was very organised considering the train was full nearly every time it departed Central Station. The park have done a great job with the refurbishments, and while not every view along the track is good, where some of the more back of house areas need work, it’s proving to be very popular and worth the investment.
  8. No I’m not saying it won’t open, I’m saying, did they not mention it because trident is going to open next year or at this stage they don’t know. Im not reading into too much because the media are good at missing information or stating things incorrectly. It was just an observation.
  9. https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSBrisbane/videos/1507375373054233/ In this news report about WoO they mention Leviathan, stating it will be open later this year. I don’t think we’ll see it open until Christmas. Interesting they hadn’t mentioned Trident either. Maybe because it’s delayed even further or just simply, its not the major focus attraction and they left it out.
  10. https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSBrisbane/videos/1507375373054233/ This news report states that the precinct will cost $40 million. Considering the coasters themselves shouldn’t cost that much because they’re small and simple, it gives an indication of how good the theming and precincts elements could actually be
  11. With yesterdays announcement, Movie World also announced there would be a nice kids ride opening in April 2023 within the Kids WB area and would be themed around Marvin the Martian. What are everyone’s thoughts on what this could be and where it will be located? I’d assume the best/available location would be where the original Marvin the Martian ride once stood.
  12. Wow wow wow that’s way better than I was expecting, and the concept artwork is more achievable and realistic this time (in comparison to the new Atlantis). Congratulations to MW for providing a new immersive land that isn’t anything like we’ve got in Australia, reaches into a market the park has needed to show some love to for some time (family attractions) and offering attractions we haven’t yet got that everyone will enjoy. What’s also exciting for me is the area of ‘straw’ next to the duelling coasters creates an opportunity for a future flat ride or two. The plaza area reminds me of Nintendo Land at USJ, which is a good thing because that’s a very impressive land (just with bad attraction choices). I hope the green castle looks good from behind because you’ll see that from Main Street and even from outside the park. Part of me thinks there won’t be access from Superman, but this concept art could be deceiving. Seeing this I hope there isn’t access and they use the Main Street and Scooby access because that allows for the arrival wow moment seeing the large buildings. Im also excited to see a new attraction coming to the kids area next Easter, a great and easier thing to do to offer something new while they construct WoO. I can’t imagine the coasters themselves will take that long to build, but the overall land and it’s theming and stations will be what takes the longest. I’d expect a 12-15 month construction period.
  13. Other than some small kids rides in Kids WB and the Junior Driving School in 2013, the last non-DC attraction was Scooby which opened 20 years. Great to see new attractions will finally be themed to something else. I’m already thinking about how they could do this. I’d love to see the original Lethal Weapon entrance reopen. That alley becomes the yellow brick road and leads into Main Street and it create a fully immersive area with the attractions. I’d be happy to see them close the access from Superman to achieve this. That keeps the DC area seperate from this and creates an exciting journey into this new land.
  14. This doesn’t surprise me at all, with September only 6 weeks away and there still no testing underway, I’m expecting it to be opening this Summer and at this point, I’d rather they just finish the whole thing off and do an offical opening at once rather than separate openings for Leviathan and Trident
  15. There are also the sheds that were built for the Fright Night mazes, and you included Scooby in that footprint too. So that coaster definitely wouldn’t fit
  16. Has anyone seen if the track removal has begun? Everything I’ve heard so far just seems to be rumours (unless I missed something)
  17. It would make sense for it not to reopen because there’s nothing at that station anymore
  18. I believe the Billabong station is no more too and it’s just direct to the wildlife station and back to central
  19. An email was sent to pass holders confirming it has reopened
