  1. I should’ve explained a bit further the point I was trying to make. The park attraction count has significantly dropped since that map, but in terms of park area/footprint, it hasn’t.
  2. @Gobbledok arguably, based on map area, only the log ride and big brother studio is missing, the other areas have been replaced by new attractions
  3. The opening date of Serpent Slayer has been pushed back away to April 2. And the closing date of Escape Coaster has been pushed back to April 3, but the reopening date remains the same
  4. That’s usually what happens with development applications. So many people object with such irreverent or ridiculous reasons that the majority just get overlooked because they’re stupid. A lot of the time, the people who actually write these complaints are either direct neighbours (who likely bought the home knowing the theme park was next door) or they have nothing better to do. The only comments I would acknowledge are the ones in regards to traffic, but as the report comments on this, it is very likely the planners and council won’t have any issues with this application.
  5. @DaptoFunlandGuy Escape Coaster was supposed to close this week for refurb, but was pushed back two weeks
  6. And then stage 3 will be the coaster, sea plans and probably finishing off the carousel. And probably around that same time they will build the splash pad
  7. Escape Coaster was scheduled to close today, but it has been delayed to later this month
  8. Other than the letters/lighting and the theming/signage for the queue and building, we probably wont see many other works happens. The extension of time is to prolong the lifespan of the attraction, so that could mean internal tower works are needed
  9. @gumb00t based off what I could see when in the park, there hasn’t been any noticeable progress yet
  10. Photos of the sign lights on posted by the manufacturer. You can also see the mould for Kenny in the background
  11. Based on the wording on their website, all the vehicles will be new.
  12. Or Vortex vs Wipeout? Or are the ‘rules’ the ride must still be operating
  13. Just checked, it does state on the website the attraction is getting new vehicles
  14. My understanding is they will be removed and rebuilt. Based off the concept artwork (I know, you can’t alway trust them), but the cars show are completely different to the ones now. Similar to the new train carriages, I’m expecting there to be new cars with a safety system (door/gate) in place so people can’t just jump out of the cars. And with the attraction getting a whole new name, even thought they’ll likely still be referred to as the vintage cars by guests, I see this a new reimagining and version of the attraction, not just like a relocation like it was when it went from the front of the park to the back
  15. Those orange, green, red and brown colours have been like that since it was repainted to be Escape from Madagascar. The entire ride will be getting a repaint during its upcoming closure.
  16. For your reference, that sign is the same one that’s been there for years from when they added the show pre-covid. They just haven’t ever taken it down.
  17. @New display name how much would the new kids coaster cost? Obviously depends on the model they go with, but say it’s the bigger model of the Zamperla Powered Coaster, are they a million (that’s including ground works, etc)?
  18. That’s underselling it. That’s also for the splash pad, refurbishing the entire stage/seating, pathways, retheming and a lot of licks of paint
