  1. Excluding the carousel, I don’t think any of those names are permanent. They’re just place holder names while the refurb to suit Dreamland happens
  2. It might not be, but the theme of the dodgems is being updated to suit Ocean Parade so I’d assumed the name would also be ocean based
  3. The carousels name is confirmed While the other rides have temporary names
  4. More has been painted and it’s more shiny now
  5. The Dreamworks Experience sign at the front has been removed They haven’t wasted any time with their works on Mad Jungle Jam Shrek is gone All the other statues remained, but can’t imagine it will be much longer as almost every other reference has been removed. Except for attraction info signage, the carousel (which closes in a couple days) and Dronkeys
  6. The tower is looking fantastic Windows have been installed The front of the building is looking much better. Can’t wait for the signage/banners/theming to be added
  7. The events decorations, lighting and floats are all set up for the event beginning tomorrow night
  8. All Dreamworks references within the Kung Fu Panda area have now been removed. Pandamonium is set to close on Monday 30th and will reopen late March. I’m speculating that maybe most of this area will be closed off soon so the Ocean Parade transformation can begin. There are heaps of coloured dots on the ground throughout the area too
  9. Having a serpent theme, yeah sure that makes sense and works with Ocean Parade. But adding Slayer to the name, definite no from me.
  10. I don’t think they will and I don’t want them to add anything ‘unique’ to the ride experience (in terms of the track or ride vehicles). Updating the ride vehicles to a more modern system is great (and needed), replacing pieces of track and upgrading the rides systems is all much needed and is great news. The one major thing I’m hoping for is they upgrade the screens and theming within the ride. Next Generation was a flop (would be great to see that part of the name removed and the old entry sign return). They’ve proven with Leviathan they’ve found someone who can create fantastic screen animations for a ride, so if they keep screens they definitely need to use that team again. But I do hope more real sets return to the ride, that’s what made the original ride so great.
  11. They also say there are more thrills, excitement and fun to be revealed soon https://themeparks.com.au/blog/whats-new-with-scooby-doo?_ga=2.38116963.1984220208.1674521887-1603935357.1674031116
  12. Mad Jungle Jam was the first attraction today to close for refurbishment. Pandamonium and the Carousel will close next Monday. The carousel is scheduled to only be closed for a week and will be the first attraction to operate with the new theme.
  13. It depends on when they’re aiming to open in 2024. My guess is they’ll aim for Easter as DW have their major coaster opening late 2024 and VRTP will want to get in before they. If that’s the case, we could see construction begin in the next couple months
  14. I found a bit more info on their website: The revitalised Sky Safari will: feature more and larger gondolas that are more accessible, dramatically improving the guest experience journey for all visitors. provide greater access to the zoo for guests of all ages and abilities – particularly elderly visitors, those with prams. connect to current upgrades underway to the Taronga Zoo Wharf under the NSW Government’s Transport Access Program. increase the Sky Safari’s current daily capacity, allowing for a more seamless flow of guests around the Taronga, while also providing new ways for them to see and connect with an array of wildlife, many of which are critically endangered. encourage guests off the roads and onto public transport as they explore the harbour on route to the zoo. 15. Would the ride maintenance team be the ones that would be fixing speakers throughout the park? Would it not be a seperate team/specialist who would be in charge of the parks audio system
  16. Scheduled maintenance for the major attractions doesn’t begin until Feb 3, so you should have every attraction available for you at VRTP unless anything goes down for unscheduled maintenance. At Dreamworld, as you state Giant Drop is still down and a couple of the kids rides will be closed for their refurbishment. Just keep your eye on the forecast and wind speeds. If you’re heading to Sea World be sure to do it on a non-heavy rain day and check the winds speeds are too high (over 30km/h) otherwise Trident and Leviathan might not be available. As Joz says, get there early (before gates open) and head to the major attractions first so you don’t get stuck in any lengthy queues. But as you’re visiting on weekdays on the first full school week, queue waits shouldn’t be too long at all.
  17. I’d say the only ride that could potentially stay (but be relocated) from ABC is the Play School Wheel. The tea cups are coming up to 20 years old and the Big Red Boat Ride name is being used for the new coaster and I doubt there would be a retheme. Looking at the maintenance schedule, the Wheel is scheduled to be closed for a month mid year, so it could be relocated then. While the other two rides don’t have any scheduled closures listed.
  18. BuzzSaw just wasn’t popular and was costing to much to maintain
  19. It did operate going forward and backwards as it would have to reverse into the maintenance bay. The pram storage was behind the operators cabin
