Yeah it’s part of the plan

From what I’ve heard, a platform is being built that will wrap around the tower and that cable system will be what lifts it up and down the tower. And they will use this to complete to refurb

It’s great to see rivals already getting a repaint after only 5 years. It definitely needed one, especially when it’s the parks statement attraction and first impression

This section of track was still there (Parkz photo) But I didn’t notice if the track directly out of the station had gone

No one, I heard they were destroyed

Large crane (twice the height of leviathan) is in the area of trident this morning

SE was closed for 2 months for its repaint and that track was much less complex

It hasn’t been on the maintenance page for months

Does it? Zooming in on those photos I can’t see any sign of repainting, unless I’m missing something?

The ‘Sea World Monorail’ sign has been removed. And there is still one monorail left in the second station.

Night markets are now being held at Dreamworld every Friday and Saturday night from June 10. The event doesn’t seem to be directly run by the park, but is under the name Moonlight Night Market http://moonlightnightmarket.com.au/

Repainting the tower, adding lighting effects to it and refurbing the station building

Preparations are underway at Dreamworld for the refurb of the Giant Drop. Machinery has started to arrive and they have poured an extra slab to assist with the works.

You could be right about that process. There were 3 carriages, but I only got the chance to closely look at one (and due to the heavy rain at the time, there wasn’t a chance to see the other two which were being stored separately). There was only one section of seats on this carriage that has the ability to fold the seats up. But I’d say a single pram could potentially fit between the fixed seats in the other sections as well

To my understanding, there will be a seperate area for strollers. Youre correct about the locking. They will be locked by the driver before departing so they can’t be opened when the train is moving. But once the train stops at a station, guests can open the gate themselves if they wish to get off at that stop.

Correct. Each carriage has a section where the seats are split into two and fold up, so a wheelchair can fit in there as well. All the station platforms are currently undergoing works to level them out to allow for easier access for wheelchairs.

No they aren’t as wide, but you could sit 2 adults and two small kids on one bench if you really wanted. Basically it would be one family per section.
