  1. They are also building smaller enclosures in the store too
  2. Except for right now as it’s closed with some technical issues happening
  3. It will be likely that the ride will close again to allow for these works. Some preliminary/low scale works may happen outside of park hours, but when it comes to installing the ride itself, it will be very likely to close for a few weeks. Id imagine in future years, when SE is scheduled to close for maintenance, I’d assume that Surfrider will also close for maintenance.
  4. In case anyone has any doubts about whether Surfrider was moving here or not, looking at the alignment of the bolts on the new slab versus the column positioning on Surfrider currently at WNW, they definitely seem to match (Photos from Parkz)
  5. Here is Coaster Studios behind the scenes look at Scooby Doo
  6. Escape Coaster has been pushed back to after the school holidays
  7. I think it’s a hose. For Kyle it will likely come out his mouth and for Walter, out the fishes mouth, which is in the boot. Great to see they’re bringing back this feature and they’re introducing new characters. I’d say later this year we’ll see a new show in the theatre which features all these characters. Also, Belinda’s Tree House has been removed from the maintenance listing and according to the attractions page it is now open. And the Wiggles character Show is moving to the Theatre.
  8. You can see on the plan the stage is getting an arc cut out of it to allow for the globe I do think that the chairs would go higher than the structures
  9. Looking at the plan overlay, it appears they will be moving the globe to the left so it’s slightly closer to the entrance of the park. The second (smaller) structure, I wonder if that’s a small kiosk/store replacing the one thats currently in the park (next to the park map) or if it’s control booth/exit. I do like the structures, and there are needed in some form because of shading needed for the queue and control booth, but hopefully when the rides in operation, these structures don’t feel like they’re closing the ride in, as the main goal of this ride is to activate the entry and Main Street. Having it open to the south and east will certainly be great, but my concern is as you enter the park as it’s the first view/impression guests will get.
  10. Wow that’s not what I was expecting for this attraction, but I’m very impressed by those model views and drawings. Can’t wait to see how much this transforms the front of the park
  11. While Superman has been closed, over the fence you can see that some of the Arkham Asylum themed print has been removed
  12. Got to experience this temporary video last week. For what it was, it was decent. It’s good they offer another video/experience for a limited time extra offering, but the experience could’ve definitely benefitted from some more orchestrated music. It seemed to still had the same audio as the VR experience. The music during the final whale scene was good and it should’ve been like that throughout.
  13. The old Wipeout Kiosk has been removed This has allowed for more room for food trucks during the night markets. A DJ is performing in Kickback Cove. And Game Site is open too. Expanding the markets into Ocean Parade because they are getting very popular, so this provides more room for guests and trucks. But it will also allow them to test out using the area, when the area around the fountain becomes inaccessible when they start constructing the Dreamworld Flyer
  14. The photo op outside Ricks has been removed
  15. I should’ve explained a bit further the point I was trying to make. The park attraction count has significantly dropped since that map, but in terms of park area/footprint, it hasn’t.
  16. @Gobbledok arguably, based on map area, only the log ride and big brother studio is missing, the other areas have been replaced by new attractions
  17. The opening date of Serpent Slayer has been pushed back away to April 2. And the closing date of Escape Coaster has been pushed back to April 3, but the reopening date remains the same
