Agreed! When this reopens it needs to have maximum operators to pump through the queue because the park will be getting very busy when it does reopen. And if the park was smart, they will give a reopening date at least one month beforehand because they should realise that people will travel to ride this again and they’ll shoot themselves in the foot if they take the Wizard of Oz approach.

The WoO precinct doesn't look anything like this. There are some design and aesthetic nods to what we're seeing in this image, but this actually looks immersive... the MW land does not. MW's attempt at this theme looks more like a low budget movie set than the original film does.

@DaptoFunlandGuy I agree, but that still doesn’t give them a pass on painting large walls a solid green or making your queue area an unshaded cattle pen. It just demonstrates a lack of care or effort.

They still have the gate to access the pathway that leads to the mazes like they did when it was Arkham Asylum

I wonder if they’ll keep the land blocked off for the event. In previous years they would use this area of the park as a pathway to access the maze precinct so the path alongside WWF didn’t become a bottle neck. I assume it won’t be as they’ve managed the past couple of years.

And I see that as a good thing, in recent years the IP mazes have been underwhelming and the non-IP have been so much better. And honestly, I wouldn’t mind if they did that for years to come. Save the money on the license and invest that money into creating actually good mazes and not whatever the shitshow that the DCeased m̶a̶z̶e̶ walkthrough is.

The Fright Nights website doesn't show tickets are available yet, but if you go through the ‘theme park tickets’ link at the bottom of the fight nights page. Tickets are from $79 to $99. A season pass is $499 I didn't realise some people could still redeem a ticket? Fast Pass pricing Panic rooms are returning. It seems like there are quite a few this year, but most have been used for several years It seems this years tagline might be 'Terror Runs Deep'. And there will be five mazes again, with two of them new. And the hours are the same as previous years (I believe)

It looks temporary probably because it is. Through the many discussions I’ve had with park management in recent years, they don’t like doing this half assed, and if things don’t look up to scratch to us, then the park will probably agree and will be working on something more permanent when they have the resources and money to do so.

Love the new logo and so glad they got rid of the next generation name. Fingers crossed the original entry sign returns (or something just as good). And their choice of wording saying ‘the original spooks’ gives me hope. Not going to hype this up to much for myself because Village are known to hype things up and then disappoint.

But if the boats still bottom out through the flume section of the ride, I definitely don’t think things have been ironed out. It makes the experience so uncomfortable and turned this ride from a ‘must do’ into a ‘if the queue isn’t too long’.

Photos by @Theme Park Girl Considering there are lighting rigs set up in these photos and the night markets weren’t on this weekend, my guess is this was all set up for a private event. They’ve also got the DWF Gala at the start of next month which will be held in Rivertown/Tiger Island.

With that type of ride model it’s seperate pieces joined together, but something like this wouldn’t happen on a ride like King Claw because it’s a completely different design and engineering. My take on that incident is either the ride wasn’t designed correctly, it’s not been maintained properly or (if it’s a travelling model) it wasn’t built properly.

Nope because I don’t work at the park. But I do know it used to barely have any downtime time and since they got these new boats it has a lot more downtime and seems to be very temperamental
