Now that you have done this I realise that Dreamworld suck at theming. I know that it wasn't great, but because you have gone through each ride I understand what everyone is saying. I would still class the park as a theme park. I think an amusement park is one that can be moved around easy.

I do actually agree with that, but I would say Dreamworld would choose a theme for an area and then the rides are based around that theme.

All the areas in Dreamworld are themed. Some are better themed than others. It's just some rides that aren't themed well.

Even though Dreamworld has a lot of rides that you would find at a carnival, them rides are mainly only in the dreamworks area. The park might not have world class attractions, the park still has some themed areas. Therefore it's a theme park. Luna park is an amusement park. If you compare them they are different.

I do agree that some rides aren't themed very well to the areas they are in, but they could fix these few things. In Ocean Parade, Zombie Evilution could have a few elements added to make it fit in the area. From the outside the ride almost looks like an old fishing building. The building could just have a few fishing nets added and that may add some sense of it fitting with the ocean theme. I don't really think the cyclone fits the area either, but they could just rename, upgrade the station, get a new train and get rid of the turbines. They should either move or get rid of Red Line. As far as I am aware it isn't that popular of attraction, but that could do with it being hidden away. As I've said before they could move it so it was next to MDMC. As people have said TOT2 doesn't fit into any theme of the park (except the turbines), but it is a very popular ride and it wouldn't fit in any other park of the ride. Especially since it uses the GD tower. Even though the park doesn't have the best theming, they can do it well as we have seen what they did with the Dreamworks area. There are just those few minor changes in Ocean Parade they could be changed and that would fix it. The thing is though most guests of the park don't take notice of any of this. They just want plenty of rides and things to do that the whole family can enjoy and they have that at Dreamworld.

I also agree. They would never get rid of WWF. It is one of the most popular rides and one of my favourite rides on the Gold Coast. The ride has great themeing (things could be added or changed a little, but it doesn't affect the ride experience). I do agree that there is a lot of space leading but to the ride which could feature another ride. This area could feature a main stage show as I said about in another forum.

Oh I didn't realise they have finished. I would say that the channel will fit around the theme of the area. I don't think Sea World knew a date until a few weeks ago of when Dinosaur Island would be closing, but as the sand is finished they can close it to start work. I would say by the end of March all of Dinosaur Island will be gone and work should have begun. I don't think work on the reclaimed land will start until the end of the year. Does anyone have a photo of the current progress???

Maybe that is why it is taking a long time for all the sand to be put into place. They might not want to put it all on at once. That photo I posted from December it looks like they have done half.

Dinosaur island closes this weekend so we might start to see some changes. Has anyone been recently and taken a photo of the sand fill progress?

We might just have to wait for a parkz update before we see any photos of the changes being made, unless someone goes to Dreamworld soon and takes photos.

Just a few of the changes made to the Corroboree area and wipeout rebuild.

I found this info on Wikipedia: The revolving platform was stopped in 2005 due to safety concerns. The gas pipeline was removed in 2008. And by the end of 2009 the pre-show was removed.

I totally agree. At least they just didn't leave it as just a blank and boring ramp. I think it would have been good if they placed a couple of street stalls in front of it and one of them was tilted over so it might have looked like they driving up the stall roofs. Just an idea. Also, the first show is at 11am

For me its definitely the storm coaster. i went on it at around 11am and was still wet when I left at 5pm. And it was a hot day.

I think they should also but something in front of the ramps, just so they don't look out of place. Even if it was a mini shop or something. Also maybe they have got that mattress there as the show is about filming a movie, so they show how the stunts r done.

I messaged sea world asking if the wild attraction was still happening and they just said this information has not yet been released. I would say they do have plans, otherwise they wouldn't be removing dinosaur island.

Even though th smoke isn't as thick, there aren't as many lazers and the music doesn't always play as loud. It's still a great ride.

You say that, but I don't think they have a show anymore. I think the last time they had it was just before Fright Night 2013. It was in the building where the Hill Billy 2 Maze was. I do agree though. On the note on the western show near wild west falls, i think they should get rid of it. They should build a new building/area to the left of the ride, where they could have a good cowboy show. Maybe one similar to old Police Academy show, but based on cowboys and don't have the cars (just so that the shows will be different). A comedy cowboy styled show, which featured stunts, etc. It could be put on the land just to the rid of wild west falls. Just an idea.

I agree with what you have said. I enjoy all of the rides and the themeing is great on most of the rides. Most changes that have been made were for the better. I would like to see superman be brought back to the park. The only things I want the park to do is remove the old china town theming on Main Street and do something with the LTRR building. I'm sure I will think over a few other things, but that's the main things.

Thanks. I can understand why the got rid of the sparks, but they should have kept the smoke and wind. It's still a great ride though.
