  1. My understanding is it will be one queue and you won’t know what way you’ll be boarding. The experience of the coaster means that everyone riding will go forwards and backwards at one point.
  2. My understanding is some of the existing attractions may be going, but it’s likely the area will be expanded. The Kung Fun Panda area will be given to Ocean Parade and there will be a splash zone (which I think is replacing the area that the cub kindy/food area was)
  3. It’s this. Every train Will experience going forwards or backwards. But you’ll either board the ride one way and return to the station facing the other. There will also be dedicated ‘show moments’ where the train will slow down. My understanding is it’s a similar concept to Hadgrids magical creature coaster at Universal Orlando. Not the same budget or scale and more whole family focused. The coaster track is by Vekoma and cost less than Steel Taipan, but the entire attraction will cost $35 million due to the immersive theming and show scenes
  4. We could potentially see the TOT station building and tunnel under the train line be removed too during this whole construction phase. The reintroduction of Rivertown will also make the experience and journey on the DW Express much more interesting, rather than just looking at the back of old buildings
  5. Part of the reason for new vehicles being purchased for the attraction is because they will be introducing wheelchair accessible cars. And my understanding is the new cars will be more secure so guests can’t just get out of them if they wanted too.
  6. The coaster will go up an inclined track forward/backward, the train will be held in place, the track will rotate about 20 degrees on its axis and then the train will be released and will travel in the opposite direction. Which means the train will arrive back into the station facing the opposite way. The coaster was marketed as travelling in both directions during the presentation and you don’t know which way you will be leaving the station. My understanding is the entire ABC kids area will be demolished, potentially even the restaurant and will be used for the new coaster and vintage cars.
  7. https://bit.ly/3g2GDYm Can anyone access this article and share it on here? It seems like it would be a really interesting and insightful read.
  8. Even when they announced it, it was just a secondary statement within the wizard of Oz announcement. They should’ve announced it before or after WoO and created some hype about it. They’ll probably announce more in the new year once their events are over
  9. They replaced the awning on the kids wb store
  10. The water has been refilled and there’s this new piece of concrete
  11. Best of how long before this gets taken down?
  12. Humans still surprise me sometimes. Just because you aren’t enjoying, why ruin it for everyone else I believe there were issues with it and it should be getting replaced soon
  13. According to the parks website, it’s reopened for the weekend, but will be closed on Tuesday
  14. Steel Taipan is closed for maintenance this weekend
  15. Maybe they’re starting out at $30 because it’s new and more people are willing to pay the higher price. If the pride were to drop, I’d say that won’t be until after the summer holidays. But based off my understanding of VRTP strategy, the price won’t be going down.
  16. That’s great news. Do you have a source for where this information has come from?
  17. All the stats have been removed from the attractions page too. Once it’s open, I’d say they’ll all return, with the advertising that it has backwards seats and it’s height requirements
  18. It indeed wasn’t there when the attraction first opened
  19. The photo below is from Destination Dad n Daughter’s latest video: https://youtu.be/s3uZzGQt8Y0 Peeping over the construction fence, you can how much of a bottle neck this entrance to the new Atlantis is. The stairs might be required for fire escape from the tavern, but if they could, I’d be removing them. And I’d also remove that small garden to the left where one of the ninja turtles stands. It just feels like for an entrance into a new precinct and their flagship attraction it’s so tight that it doesnt allow for easy flow of people.
  20. This was my first visit to Sea World in about 4 months, so I was interested to see what else has happened throughout the park since my last visit. Firstly, they’ve finally removed some of the walls and trusses from the parks entrance. It’s a shame they haven’t all been removed, but it’s a start. And already it feels so much better and inviting. It’s a shame they couldn’t move this into the exit store and completely open up the entry once again. The Lakeside food outlets are undergoing a refurbishment The Dockside Tavern is closed for refurbishment. Most notably, there is heaps of work happening underneath, perhaps Atlantis related. Vortex is closed for maintenance and some of the panelling has been removed and it appeared they are doing so touch/patch up work too The Carousel remains dismantled and the reopening date has been removed Patricks and Ninja Flyer are closed. Is this mesh around the fence of the flyers new? And there hasn’t been any further works on the flume station site. But despite there being construction fencing, they’ve wrapped it in a black mesh, which makes it look ‘nicer’. But it makes me think it’s going to be there for a while.
