  1. I agree, if the ride was torn down and another one out in its place, no one would care. It's just cause it's sitting there so visibly that people want to see something happen
  2. I take this as proof that one day the mine ride will reopen. Dreamworld's map clearly shows the symbol for the gold rush country as a mine cart, coincidence? I think not!
  3. I hope it's a space mountain style ride. Indoor rollercoasters with amazing themeing are awesome, but I probably am just dreaming.
  4. For those counting it's Eureka's 9th SBNO birthday today
  5. If Dreamworld were to reopen the ride they would need: - New carts, up to date with 2015 safety standards (the reason why the ride closed) - Rebuild theming inside and outside the mountain - Touch up faded exterior - Over-haul ride systems and operations - Rebuild the station and queue Seems like no more than a $3-5 million job. No way would they get a new ride as good as Eureka for that price. I think Dreamworld management are making quite a poor decision neglecting it. Especially because seeing it so visibly closed causes a lot of disappointment for a lot of people. Does anyone think this ride will ever reopen? Or will anything whatsoever happen?
  6. Trololol Dreamworld Looks like Dreamworld finally painted over the 'exit only' sign.
  7. I was talking to a DW staff member earlier and he said that the retheme would include a new colour for the ride.
  8. It was up then it got taken down (for like a day) then went back up
  9. I'm fairly sure people who've never been or heard of eureka mountain would know something used to be there, the big 'Eureka mountain gold mining co', the 'exit only' sign, the exposed roller coaster track, the giant mountain. I remember when the looney tunes river rapid ride closed down at movieworld, they tried very hard to make it seem as if there was never a ride there whilst it was SBNO. Dreamworld needs to do this if they have no plans to demolish or restore.
  10. Where's andrew when you need him? Are the any more signs of construction or is it all been taken down? Also, what's up with the seamore graves theming that just went up?
  11. With the old carnival games gone it's certain that at least something will be happening to the old queue.
  12. Yeah it's so strange that they would require fencing, but only for a few days? Seems funny
  13. Pretty sure this is the completed construction they were doing last week. Interesting theming, I'm pretty sure this means the ride will reopen
  14. Maybe the mine ran out of gold, that's why it's been closed so long, and the long dead ghost of Jack Darke (from the buzzsaw backstory) has been fiddling with the controls.
  15. Would dreamworld call it a 'new ride', or 'everybody's old favourite' or something different? Plus I bet they would call it something new to make people hopefully forget that it had been closed so long
  16. I reckon thats highly plausible, considering that they are building something near the old ride's exit
  17. Yes but the water dummies are definitely new (at least the last few months), plus there had been a mine cart sitting at the station for quite a few months, which has been moved. Certainly something is happening inside Eureka.
  18. Is this new? It says gold rush stage coach stop saddlery.
