  1. Has anyone seen any testing of the Shockwave yet, I would of thought it would have been one of the first few to re-open.
  2. Not sure if anyone's noticed it or how long its been like it for but in the shopping and photos outlets page the Rocky Hollow Log Ride photo outlet isn't listed there anymore like it use to be.
  3. Puss n boots sword swing is now back open according to the DW website.
  4. A question ? Over the past few weeks we have seen tones of testing of the giant drop involving them putting it up and down the tower slowly, test dummies etc. but does anyone what there testing for during those times.
  5. As much as Dreamworld need another roller coaster I think that the area should have some more family rides rebuild. In the recent years Dreamworld have built kids rides and thrill rides but no rides for the whole family young and old. The river rapids ride was perfect for that so I think another ride which caters for families young and old would be best.
  6. Obviously it didn't but I thought the Lego shop was scheduled to open on Boxing day.
  7. Really good to see Dreamworld reopening all the thrills and other rides the more rides they have open the more it will attract people as there's more stuff to do. When the park reopened they didn't have much to offer for anyone but kids and if you live quite a fair distance from the park like me its not really worth going not that I don't wish to show my support to the park or anything but now that thrills are reopening I'm more inclined to go and that's how most people would think who don't have kids or anything.
  8. I'm probably just going out on a limp here, but do think Dreamworld might still have plans for eureka and not full demolition like we think. Why I say that is even know that eureka mountain is still there it continues to remain on the map when everything else is gone, blue lagoon, log ride and of course rapid ride. Second of all if Dreamworld plan to demolish like they do with TRRR wouldn't you think they would have the fence barricading eureka mountain off as well as the bridge going to the rapid ride.
  9. Its hard to see as the image I posted isn't the clearest in the world, but in the 90cm section the Dreamworld Express Train made it to the list. The train has no height restriction nor an age restriction and it still made it to the list but the log ride didn't even know that it has stricter safety restrictions then the train. I see your point but I just thought that was quite strange that the Dreamworld Express qualified for the list but the log ride didn't.
  10. While reading a recent new article about Dreamworld I stumbled across the following picture of a ride height poster. It stated on the article no mention of the Thunder River Rapids Ride but it also has no mention what so ever of the Log Ride, it mentions all other rides accept those 2. River Rapids understandable but log ride.
  11. I recon the park will recover, but to say it is or isn't going to recover for a defiant is too soon to judge first day in operation and not a wide, large selection of rides equalling lower crowds. When all that are going to reopen are open and attendance is still low then that's the time you could question the park recovering or not.
  12. Dreamworld have confirmed that there will be no access to the Thunder River Rapids and will be blocked from visitor view. As it doesn't anything about the log ride being closed off tomorrow would be the right time to have a look down at the log ride.
  13. I'd say DW could build a new river rapids ride in the current ones foot print but that sorter defeats the purpose, the dark side about river rapid rides is there more of a permanent ride and quick hard and costly to remove where as when you compare it with a roller coaster its much easier, look at Seaworlds sea viper roller coaster. Mentioning Seaworld, Dreamworld could do a Seaworld, demolish the river rapids and leave it empty like Seaworld did with there Sea Viper.
  14. Whether or not DW cancelled all upgrades and development for next year it shouldn't be expected. As hard as it is the families of the victims and Dreamworld for that mater need to move on and not let such a tragic incident change your plans, you can't stop living life and cancel all plans for future out of such a situation. Sure respect is required but there comes a stage where you need to move on and live everyday in that persons name, shamefully life goes on no matter what you do it will not stop for you the sun will continue to rise and set the world will spin and clock keeps ticking.
  15. Unless Dreamworld themselves state that the river rapids and remainder of Gold Rush Country is going to be demolished how can we say its going to happen. Until Dreamworld confirm about that we have no ground to stand on, it would be the same as saying the river rapids are going to re-open. 24hrs ago Dreamworld quite possibility wouldn't of had a clue when the park was going to re-open little own the future of Gold Rush Country and the River Rapids.
  16. All victims from the accident on the rapids ride have now been all laid to rest. Today was the final funeral and was for Ms Goodchild and Mr Dorsett.
  17. I did here that story of the original owners of the land did continue to live there while DW was in its early years and the property still remains. As the house is in Gold Rush Country that might put a spanner in the works of flattening Gold Rush Country obviously it remains standing as DW don't wish to demolish as if they were going to it would of been done by now so they may not completely demolish Gold Rush for that reason.
  18. Well we can say this much until the coronial is finished there job where safe to say the rapid ride and the remainder of Gold Rush Country will remain, SBNO but still remaining.
  19. Well like you said it will be evidence, everyone else has a story but you have photos and would most likely be able to give people an idea on whether or not water level was a little low (I don't know if the water was low would it show up like it would at the station if that makes sense).
  20. The trouble would with removing the rapid ride would be the middle water reserve and if eureka mountain has asbestos in it, it will make it even harder.
  21. I think what @Theme Park Girl is trying to say if you go to pay your respects your then forced to deal with the media circus as you can't avoid it and you can't tell them to back off as it is a public area.
  22. Dreamworld are opening the park tomorrow yes but out of a day of remembrance of those who died and the park is only opening the smaller rides currently, there obviously not taking any chances. Second of all the premier stated in the video only about police requiring access to the ride to continue the investigation, Dreamworld would be aware of this and when the park fully reopens on Saturday (I believe it is) the area will most likely be completely closed off so no one will be able intervene with the investigation. Dreamworld want to know what happened as much as we do so I don't think they are going to just open the park and act and let visitors into the park and act like the ride is under maintenance and let people into the area.
  23. I wish I could go as well or at least take some flowers and place out front of the park, however I live Toowoomba 2 hours away and I have brother and sisters going to school tomorrow as well.
