  1. Would appear the toilets what are just outside the exit are staying leaving some of the old façade still there so that's a good sign that the façade will be matched, unless they change façade on the toilets of course.
  2. One word to describe that picture. STRANGE. Strange that the building what was there since 1981 is now gone. Strange without it.
  3. Just had a look at Dreamworld's food and beverage page on there website and found that the market place hasn't been removed from that page it's just got in red writing closed for renovations, possibly the market place and everything is else is staying and there just going to extend the Lego shop out from where the barn like part was.
  4. That's what I was thinking but if they did do that they probably would put up those accordion fences what they had up and just open them when the park is closing.
  5. Here is a video showing some pictures of a place everyone's heard about Chernobyl's amusement park.
  6. I emailed DW to see if they could or would mention anything about the Lego here's what they said. The Lego Store will be a stand-alone outlet located at Dreamworld’s front gates. The store will have its own entry which can be accessed by guests both internal and external to the park. They then just added watch this space. So at least they shared something we already knew. Hopefully they'll make the Lego store blend in with the main entrance like the exit did and everything.
  7. Obviously in tiger island but can someone who might know give an explanation to what the hell it is.
  8. I suppose your both right I'm already making judgement when we are only a few weeks into construction of the Lego store, but its still a bit sad to see some of original DW get torn down but.
  9. One question for Dreamworld, WHY. There demolishing DWs history and for what a Lego store. Hopefully they rebuild some of the façade and not do a half job like with Moto coaster and leave it without much care.
  10. I was in contact with Dreamworld today and one of things I asked them was is anything going to be happening with Mississippi river anytime soon, they said they do have plans for it which will hopefully kick off next year they didn't say anything about what but they said something.
  11. Yes that's true they could. But me personally would think that would be out of the way ending or starting right near the bus stop and bus car park, where as the other ramp is starts or ends right in front of the main car park. I don't know this is just my opinion it is only going to be like this for a few months so it probably won't be that bad.
  12. What's going to make leaving DW and of course walking up to the main entrance hard is the stairs as the hill located to right of the main entrance is fenced off its going to be quite a pain for people with prams and strollers. Lucky the wiggles aren't performing anytime soon.
  13. As the market place is currently closed then where do you exit the park now ?
  14. I believe they should change the name of Tiger Island to Concrete Island cause that's all we are currently seeing is concrete.
  15. Hi @The Original Belinda Brown This question might seem a bit strange but if the TOT2 and Giant Drop ever closed down do you think you would demolish the Dreamworld tower or keep it built so I would act. as just a landmark for the park instead of a ride tower ? As White Water World is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year are there any plans for a new water slide or expansion on the park planned at all ? Thanks
  16. Something I've been wondering for quite a while as I haven't been to DW at night recently are the little silver, metal spots on the stage lights or what are they ?
  17. Hey Belinda You almost got all the questions except mine one of which was answered. Was wondering what the plans are for the old Skylink Chairlift whether it be re-opening it or removing and replacing it with another attraction. I'm no engineer or anything but as its all still standing it wouldn't take much to other then most likely new stations.
  18. Hi Belinda, welcome to the forums its awesome that we have a Dreamworld official on parkz so welcome. I have two question if you haven't had enough questions today. I'm wondering if Dreamworld have any plans for the old Skylink Chairlift whether it be being removing or re-opening the ride in the future as everything from it is basically still standing the stations and support towers. ? Why was the Skylink Chairlift closed down anyway its not like it was operating for as long as eureka mine ride or anything. ? Thanks
  19. Well the TOT2 and River Rapids were down for maintenance from the 13th to the 14th according to maintenance, now the maintenance schedule is stating those rides won't be in operation until tomorrow inclusive, there certainly having trouble with those 2 rides.
  20. The Tower of Terror 2 is now under scheduled maintenance until tomorrow inclusive still having troubles with it as its been closed all weekend and the Thunder River Rapids Ride is also under maintenance till tomorrow inclusive. Buzzsaw as well is closed for quite a long maintenance period 30th of May till 26th June, odd for one of there thrill rides.
  21. Well when I went to DW last it did look like the stage needed some TLC or at least a better vanish and a clean at least cause there was all those black shoe skid lines on it and some of the vanish was starting to ware in some places. Look on the positive side, years ago when DW built they never TLC but everything what's been built lately hasn't been rejected. But it is main street as well you want it look the best as the its the of first things you see when you walk into the park.
  22. Eureka Mountain Mine Ride has officially hit 500 weeks since it closed. Congratulations Dreamworld. Can we hit 1000 weeks where half way there
