The Boat Ride is Bermuda Triangle, and the bar is Dockside Tavern, lovely little pub that one. I think I'll change my vote of Paradise room to Dockside, its a great spot, plus the beer is (relatively) cheap. It seems as if Gothem City Cafe is in for sure though

Ok guys, lets play a game, using nothing but the rides, shows and attractions in Australia, what would you include to make the ultimate Australian park? For this, lets say we include 3 flat rides, 4 coasters, 2 water rides 3 live shows, 1 theatre show 1 kids land and 2 animal exhibits and 2 restaurants. For my contribution, I'll include Scooby Doo, Lethal Weapon, Corkscrew and perhaps Tower of Terror as the Roller Coasters. As for flats, I'll take Wipeout, Pirate Ship and Tasmanian Devil. Water Rides would be Wild West Falls & Snowy River Rampage. Live shows, I'm thinking Police Academy, Quest for the Golden Seal, and the Dolphin Cove Show. Theatre show, I'm still can't decide between Pirates, Marvin and Dreamworld's Imax. Kids land would have to be Looney Tunes Village Animal Exhibits would be Tiger Island and Polar Bear Shores. Finally, I'd say Gothem City Cafe, and possibly SW's Paradise Room as the best two restaurants. So come on, what would you include in the Australian park?

Perhaps they want to reinforce the building or raise a walkway or perhaps add some really big bit of set. Who knows, but when Movieworld comes out and says its a walk through, you'd think that it'd be a pretty good possibility that it will be a walk through. As for it being filler, well I don't buy that either. Matrix was always going to get an attraction based on it since its been such a good money maker for Village. However, with a down turn in international tourism affecting attendance, then perhaps they've decided to go with a cheaper attraction for now. Don't forget that Paradise Country and Outback Adventure has been delayed by a year due to the weak economy. Add to that Seaworld getting a very expensive major attraction this year, then you see why the cheaper option is the way to go with things the way they are.

So a ride can be closed, but still be a classic? BTW Cokecool, your post is only a sentence long, and needs to be fixed up.

How long you in America for Rabid?
-
I visited a month or two after they closed, to be greeted by the sign saying "Sega World has permanently closed operations. Thank you to all our loyal members and guests for their support over the years". That sign is currently hanging on my Bedroom wall.

Damm, imagine 22,000 people at our Movieworld
-
Now that's just obsessive word usage there though Rabid

Thanks for the photos Belgian! Nice to see photos I haven't already seen 100's of times That big one of Movieworld Germany is really cool. On a side note with that picture... does that carpark look really full or is it just me? Andy, yeah, Matrix is going into the old Harry Potter building.

I've got four words for that: Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster.

Do you know what a hypocrite is? Wayne doesn't have to tell you that Wonderland is getting a ride. In fact, its easier for him to not pass on information that he gets from the park (repeat, gets from the park!). Take a chill pill guys, thats all I'm saying. BTW, thanks for the paragraphs
-
Hey Wayne, I've got one question for you... I heard a couple of months ago about 2 possible ride styles, and apparently you also received the same information. What I wanna know, is if this new ride is one of the two? Also one clarification, is the entrance being moved, or simply redesigned?

I know he spends allot of time at SW, but I'm not sure how much that is in relation to the other parks. All I know is that he probably never goes to Wet 'n' Wild. Thats more of a Steve Peet thing But back on John, yeah, I see him just about every week. Sometimes with other managers, but most of the time he just wanders through the park by himself, keeping an eye on things and picking up the odd bit of litter. Other then that I think if he does stay at SW for so long, it might be since he's been there for 32 years now, and most importantly, that the helicopters are based at SW.

Demon is equal 1st, with about 6 other Boomerangs in the southern hemisphere. Its like saying that Lethal Weapon is equal fastest SLC in the world. Well der, of course it is. If you wanna be like that, you could say that Scooby Doo is the tallest ride in Australia that's in a building and called "Scooby". Bit of a given really when the category is like that.
-
Yeah, Movieworld is better then Dreamworld. Dreamworld just has rides with not half as much themeing or atmosphere... It's like an Australian Six Flags (and I'll just pretend I'm the first person to say that).
-
Flea, the "special treatment" that international Six Flags parks get is pretty much standard everywhere else. Six Flags taking over is not a good thing, and I'm baffled by anyone who says it is. As a last resort, then Six Flags taking over would be fine, but as the parks are still quite successful, I can't imagine why you'd want to sell to Six Flags. I have to question how much validity this round of rumours have. After all, their is still a great deal of talk going on about next year's projects like the relocation of Paradise Country & Aussie Spectacular. If they were planning on selling up shop, then I'm surprised that they aren't finishing off the current big projects. Don't forget as well, that Paradise Country will almost certainly have to be moved as the land its on isn't owned by Warner Village. Still, Six Flags being the financially stable company they are might be interested in the VWTPs, as they are rumoured to be $30million debt for major expansion at the 3 parks (A fair slice of that has gone into Shark Bay, another slice out to Movieworld for Matrix Revealed, and some more money is going into Paradise Country).

I think your quite lucky for getting off lightly on the whole plagiarism thing boycotta. Richard would have been quite within his rights to place a ban on yourself. I think you owe DJ an apology.
-
Great, its like Boycotta in surround sound. Is there a rule about this sort of thing anywhere?
-
wow thats excellent! I may not be Richard (and indeed I'm not) but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you posted more. These are great, thank you so much Psycho!
-
Hey, they don't call Dreamworld Australia's Six Flags for nothing Jobe, I agree. While I never went on "Big Dipper", I can imagine that the ride would be a bit more 'magical' had it not been placed randomly on old car park. Just doesn't have the same visual appeal as Sydney Harbour.

Thanks mate I'm just ganna type it here so this post makes sense when I change my sig in a week or so... New Flash: Dreamworld changes Cyclone's Tag line from "It'll blow you away" to "It blows" - In other news, Thunderbolt will be renamed "Crap" in the coming weeks.
-
Wow, the new one looks so.... crap. With maps, I've always much preferred the cartoon version rather then map which gives the basic layout. Thanks for the map Psycho. The only weird thing is that the map is so old, but with the exception of HBL, still completly accurate.

I like how the "May consider" is uneven. Its somehow sarcastic.
-
That and the themeing was flying off at high speed :|
