Whoa!! Your church is a great pub/nightclub?? That explains a lot about you!! I could get me some religion like that!! Now we are talking!!

Agreed. It is a ridiculous suggestion. Period. Its up there with plenty of other ridiculous suggestions that said poster has proliferated this board with ( and by his own admission to just troll and cause mischief). But don't mention that AlexB or your posts may be removed. I also cannot understand the hate for Motocoaster. I think as a family coaster it actually succeeds quite well. It has moderate thrills for the young or old and for most youngsters, it could be their very first introduction to "big coasters". My 7 year old went on it last year and absolutely loved it. So did everyone else that was lining up to ride it. The queues for the ride remained quite long for the entirety of the day that I was there. This proves its popularity amongst the general public. It isn't going anywhere in a hurry. What I do object to is its inclusion as a Big Thrill ride. It is most painfully obvious that it should NOT belong in this category. If Dreamworld changed its marketing tactics in mind with this , then I think Motocoaster would be looked upon a little more favourably.

Actually the site states "Council worked in conjunction with Luna Park and Heritage Victoria to develop this design to comply with the major restrictions that apply at this site. There are strict heritage rules that prohibit the inclusion of any infrastructure, landscaping, civil works or future works that conflict with the direct site lines to the Mr Moon Face (Luna Park Entrance). Due to the fact that Council was reconstructing the existing forecourt and enhancing the viewing capabilities of the Mr Moon Face, we were able to get an exemption from Heritage Victoria to undertake these works." To me, this is far more compelling evidence to support that this was a Council initiative and that they approached Luna Park in conjunction in applying the works, not the other way around. Plus the fact that this is found on the City of Port Phillip Bays' website and NOT the Luna Park website is also an indication at who is the main driver of these works Either way, it is a good thing. It will allow superior access to the entrance and give far safer room for photo opportunities for pedestrian traffic. Also I do not agree with your assessment on Councils. Councils all around Australia DO undertake their own works independently of ANY outside influences. These people they employ to do this are called Town Planners. Whilst it is true that some works are undertaken by residents proposals , that is just one facet of Council Town Planning. Every council has them. Just saying. I hardly think that Melbourne is alone in having redevelopments stuck in limbo for years. Every city in Australia would have similar proposals that have been postponed, stonewalled or deferred for an indefinite period of time. There is nothing unique about Melbourne in this regard.

I agree. They are not going to sit idly by while VRTP keep putting in new attraction after attraction. Dreamworld have to keep re-inventing themselves to stay in line with the Village Parks. I am confident that all the complaints we currently have ( Eureka SBNO, Paddle Steamer SBNO, the remnants of the Chair lift remaining, etc) will sort themselves out in good time. Remember it was not all that long ago we were mostly as a group ( myself included) complaining about Movieworld and SeaWorld's ride closures. I am sure they have a grand scheme to implement over the next few years.

Not sure...some sort of theming perhaps?

Thanks Bluman good pickup!! Obviously a council driven initiative. Hopefully the changes will prove to be positive around the general area to the triangle and to the entrance to Luna Park.

Yeah have seem those!! Great souvenir!! And it's great for the park to get recognition from IAAPA,no matter how small a category it's in!!

Euro Disneyland has not turned a profit in 20 years

Jacob why wouldn't we want to hear your opinion?? It's just as valid as anyone else's on this forum!! I went to Disneyland Paris 8 years ago- I enjoyed it but it just felt too sterile for mine. Don't get me wrong- I enjoyed the day immensely- Space Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad are quality coasters!! The overall park was as you would expect from Disney- excellent theming and an overall great experience!! Mind you this is the only Disney I have been to so I cannot compare. Interestingly , on this trip I also visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach and this visit holds the fonder memories for me. The Pleasure Beach had that old world atmosphere and historical aspect to it that really appealed to me. It reminded me a lot of what both Luna Parks here make me feel, of course on a much smaller scale. Of course the Pleasure Beach could not compete with Disneyland Paris for theming but the different vibe the park gave just connected more strongly with me. Plus the Pleasure Beach has some great attractions also and the historical coasters are top notch. Either way you will have a great time- enjoy yourself!! -
I have ridden Scenic Railway quite a number of times and I can honestly say that I would hardly put it in the "rough" category of coaster. Also putting it in the same standing as Thunderbolt is superfluous-Scenic Railway is a iconic, historical landmark that is loved by thousands. Thunderbolt was neither, and as Joz has pointed out, was hardly lamented at its demise.

That sounds excellent Randy!! Thanks for the info!! I noticed you said "rides". Do the plans specifically call for more than one?? Do you have any details on timeframes or what they are looking at?? Aussie World have done very well with their second hand pickups ( virtually the entire park excluding Redback have been obtained from the second hand market) . It's a shame that something like Sega World's Rail Chase isn't on the market now- I am sure that Aussie World could have given that ride some love and a great new home without it having to go overseas! Hopefully there are plans for a second coaster at some point!!
-
Really Randy? That's very interesting!! The Air Race would have been a great addition to Aussie World's line up. This makes sense as when I was there last , several operators said that the park was looking at getting a ride that went upside down. I had wondered what had happened to those plans. Let's hope that they are looking at several excellent options for the future expansion of the park. If they were to get a flat, what do you guys think would be a good addition??

Hi all Not sure if anybody saw this but as it has not been mentioned yet, Aussie World have put out on Facebook a ride questionnaire regarding what attractions people would most like to see at Aussie World. Aussie World shared a link.ThursdayWe'd like to hear from you! Please complete this survey for your chance to win one of ten family passes to Aussie World. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JQHZRYHAussie World Ride Questionnaire Surveywww.surveymonkey.comAussie World at Palmview (www.aussieworld. Its great to see small parks like this seek direction from the general public and its patrons as to what type of attraction they would desire to see come to Aussie World. Since my visit to Aussie World 18 months ago, I have been very impressed with everything that this family owned park has brought to the table and the way they are conducting their business. They feel like a park that really cares about its customer base and genuinely want to provide the best possible experience. Its exciting times now that smaller Australian parks like Aussie World and Adventure World are starting to up the ante on their attraction base and provide an alternative destination to the Gold Coast stranglehold on the industry in this country. Now if only both Luna Parks could start to re-invest attractionwise like these 2 parks have done, then it would be very exciting times for Aussie theme park fans indeed. If you have not filled out the survey on Facebook then I urge you to do so and lend your voice and opinion to help shape Aussie World's next attraction.

No fuse blown from this little black duck..... Seriously not interested. It's more of the same crap from you really. You are still the same arrogant little twerp who comes up with outlandish proposal after proposal and then refuses to back down even after it has been definitively proven that you are full of crap....I actually feel a little sorry for you...and I tire of every post you deliver because you ARE so divisive .... It's like your sole purpose it to stir up as much shit as you can. Anyway , moving on.

It does appear to be that way, which is a bit of a shame. A layout that included the full use of the surrounding terrain would have meant a unique ride experience. Its hard to tell too much from the little info we can glean from the facts at hand. Are you suggesting that you can see the layout from the current pics available and from that you can tell it was going to be a Eurofighter? Just curious.
-
How could you pick it from the layout- THAT has not been revealed yet. You have absolutely no idea. You did nothing but guess. Everything you have said is predicated on other peoples assumptions and you just ran with it. Thats all you have got.

I was more thinking of the rides that would go down the day before and would require closure for the next day or so. In these instances the website may be slow in updating which rides are down for unscheduled maintenance so at least the signs can be posted. Still if a ride is deemed not fit to open for the day, it would only require a phone call from maintenance to guest services so at least the sign could be put up for part of the day or at least in readiness for the next day.

Thanks Colliric.

I honestly hope that it is a Eurofighter. That would be an excellent choice for Adventure World!! There is nothing wrong with speculating on what the ride is, by anyone. We are all excited by the prospect of a new coaster for Australia. What burns me us when that speculation is written as absolute fact, when we all clearly know that has not been proven yet. But I am happy to jump on the Eurofighter band wagon so please do not stop speculating on the actual postulation!! The full facts will be coming in soon very quickly from here, which will be very welcome news!! A trip to Adventure World is definitely on the horizon!!

Don't think anyone was modding. Everyone was just posting, seriously. But thanks for bringing that up.
-
Unfortunately the leopard never changes his spots. And you said he was behaving??? Pfft!!!
-
I don't have anything to apologise over. IF it turns out to be a Eurofighter, it was a lucky guess on your part. All well and good. All I am pointing out is that you cannot SAY that it has been confirmed as one at this stage- you have NO hard evidence in backing up your claim ( yet again) Please re-read AlexB's comments regarding the way you phrase your posts.I am not sure you have completely understood nor digested fully the contents. It is excellent advice, and one if I was you, I would take. It would really help your standing on this board.

Given that statement, you don't really accept it then do you??
