  1. The rides computer, rafts and all spare parts and manuals are designed and come from Intamin themselves. @jamberoo fan forgot to quote you.
  2. Intamin most definitely built the ride we have a "manual" for the ride from them. I can only assume they are trying to distant themselves from this incident due to their presence in the USA. Huh I never knew TRR and RHLR shared the same conveyor belt.
  3. We are very sorry about your friends loss in this tragic accident our thoughts are with him and all the victims families.
  4. As far as I know it was replaced when the turntable was removed. It is currently a generic Intamin one. When communicating with Intamin there was concerns for raft rides Worldwide using this system, if it has been a computer malfunction and not something else.
  5. Early thoughts are a major computer malfunction which hasn't stopped the conveyor like it should have. We initially thought rider error but have ruled it out. Still very early though, it's going to be a long night. Engineer and system expert from Intamin currently en route to help with investigations. P.S. Some of the trolling in here is horrible
  6. Will be posting an update later tonight once managers, QPS, forensics and WPHS have inspected the ride. Will be small update on what I'm allowed to say. Ride will be investigated tomorrow as well. Condolences to the families on behalf of myself and all staff at Dreamworld.
  7. This is an absolutely tragic accident, ambulance officers currently treating four people can not confirm if there is a death until police make comments. Raft has slipped, one person has been caught in conveyor. Currently in contact with Intamin and maintenance staff to find possible causes. Press Conference about future attractions has been pushed back. Absolutely horrible. UPDATE: One confirmed dead, possible second.
  8. I can clearly see the incident in the video?
  9. Checked with my boss, expecting a media conference late October, early November about DW and WWW 2017 plans. Should see Construction fences popping up soon I have personally have no idea what it could be and our marketing team does not even know. With WWW however I can confirm there will be a new slide tower in the green area besides the Little Rippers (but is all I can say on the matter at this stage.) And yes the boarded up view on the Railway is to block a carpark nothing more.
  10. Footage has been released for the first time of the Alton Towers Smiler crash. https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2016/sep/26/alton-towers-smiler-crash-was-like-car-crashing-at-90mph
  11. There will be very very limited tiger displays at the lair while the refurb is underway. TI will not be extended but stadium style seating is coming and say goodbye to the Bengal Tea House P.S Deborah has changed this park around unlike previous management
  12. NEW Tiger Cub Kindy Opening next month will be a new home to our bouncing tiger cubs, Dreamworld's all new 'Tiger Cub Kindy' is one of the cutest up-close experiences the park has ever launched. Specially designed for our next generation of tigers, you can catch the cubs' funny antics daily as they explore, play and wrestle in their purpose-built playground complete with cub-sized pool and guest interaction areas surrounded by glass for easy viewing.
  13. A Huss Fly Away could fit the bill. Looks like a flying Enterprise style of ride.
  14. Brad I am manager of attraction operations. Richard why when I quote someone this happens? And editing doesn't work? I'm on chrome BTW
  15. Well no one at Ardent know what VRTP have planned while they have three major parks. We have 1 and a half parks, big brother house and blue lagoon including the arena for BB live shows will be demolished by the end of the year in prep for 2018 ( it will be a huge construction project in that area around September) Do not know how to multi quote on this forum the Mack for MW may not be heading there hy 2018 DW and WWW will not be the same. Gold Rush won't be the same by year's ends
  16. That is a typo worked at WNW for three months before WWW opened sorry about the confusion.
  17. I confirmed shockwave as a disko coaster and also confirmed the steam train to return to a somewhat regular running. I have also announced some ideas thrown around while Macquarie were in charge including a giga that never came to fruition due to the whole town centre deal. There was also plans for a jungle cruise inspired ride after captain stuart had closed permanently but was not built due to research conducted that the ride was not viable. ( The powers that be thought there would not be enough ridership.) was once known as www worker but have since changed emails and forgot the old password. Eureka was in the plan to reopen but cyclone came up, it is still on the table and high up in the priority list. Facebook replies are just that don't want to confirm anything, like what happened with the huge www expansion (which they are still approved for but that doesn't mean it will happen fair way down on the list) I prefer the money spent on refurbishment as well as rhe bosses. P.S For those wondering I started at www when it opened worked at WNW for 3 months. In those 9 years have been able to work up to upper management. P.S.S Movie World's world class attraction has nothing on DW's New ride this year 55M to be spent on both parks leadin to 2018 including 1 or 2 refurbishments
  18. I can now confirm to allmthis will not be SBNO by years end. won't allow me to edit that m should be a space
  19. Where did the idea for a hyper come from? If MW are to build a hyper for 2016 there would already be footers in place or at least earthworks on the site not a bunch of plant removal.
