  1. Unless it can invert the carriage, do steep ascents and descents, I don't think it would do Dragon's justice.
  2. @djrappa Thanks. Was just going off all the docos on accelerators, the peak energy requirements and the fact that tower of terror is not run anywhere near 160kmhr.
  3. At the very least, remove the LIM and run a winch system like Superman. More reliable and much cheaper to run. Could also get the speed back up.
  4. Our passes have expired, but we got a gift card this year instead of passes, so that we can get new ones once the rush dies down (and maybe a deal pops up)
  5. "Dry side" @pushbutton ie Dreamworld, not dry slide.
  6. That's logical assuming/thinking. Not bureaucratic thinking. I don't think those cages are for people standing, but for a log rolling over. Should be enough for it to not fully invert.
  7. It may be less of a case of stupidity, and more of a case of bureaucracy of thinking those cages would have saved four lives had they been fitted.
  8. Has the thought crossed anyone else's mind, that the extension of the closure of Wild West Falls is to fit similar "safety" cages?
  9. It's a clear glass/polycarbonate wall, if you are looking for it, it is visible. Plus all the marine life have learnt not to crash into, so watch their movements.
  10. Interesting read. I always thought that the Arkham one was done in house, cause at one point to me Joker sounds like the staff actor that plays shaggy.
  11. I was the opposite on Big Thunder Mountain. Not the wildest coaster out there, but the story line was great and obvious. The tunnel at each end was a nice touch, especially from a passer by perspective as the train charged out of the tunnel into the final brakes. The back was more wild as you suggested. It was still Space Mountain: Mission 2 on my two visits, I liked the dip before the launch and the launch itself. The rest was too dark too quickly to adjust too, and the brakes sucked, worse than Lethal Weapon. Except that time we shot through them into the emergency brakes. The primary ones where gentle on that run, the emergencies really sucked! Got bashed around like a Vekoma too. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril is nothing special. Watching the loop from the queue was a little unnerving as it moves quite a lot as a car goes through (or did back then 2008 & 2010). I'm interested to see your thoughts on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster & the Car show if you got the time to see it.
  12. Santa's elf spreading Christmas magic?
  13. Still lives in the same suburb in Melbourne he grew up in, and catches the tram regularly apparently.
  14. Perhaps this was nature's attempt to make up for that 1%
  15. In this particular case, a condom should have been used about 15 years ago
  16. Problem solved, just find a suitable post to tie it to. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Portable-Car-Safe-Box-Car-Safe-Box-Security-Safe-Box-LY-ST004/1839249498.html
  17. It stopped briefly for a quick wash once when I was waiting.
  18. "Golf is a good walk ruined" Not interested in playing myself, though I've offered to caddy (read: hoon around on a golf buggy) for a mate. Would probably give top golf a shot with him and our respectives one time though.
  19. Coming soon to Dreamworld: "Standing But Not Operating 4D"
  20. Because it's like Neverland in here, you never really grow up
  21. Meant that more from the general public perspective. My point being that they are taking the soft approach. I'm curious to ride it without the mountain there, but having never ridden it wouldn't miss it either.
  22. "we're ripping the mine ride down" "no, don't do it" Vs "we took the cover off, but sorry, doesn't look good" "oh, ok then"
  23. For someone like myself who doesn't wear a watch and leaves their phone in the car for the day, that clock not working is a pain. I'd like to see them do something about the bin chickens (ibis) around Gotham Cafe. Watched four of them clean up someone's lunch before the person even got to try it!
