  1. DC Rivals has a minimum height and age. But the change will be insurance driven no doubt.
  2. @Levithian so what you're suggesting (which was my thought too) is that they rebuild the bogies not in service, then swap the seats across during the maintenance window to reduce time pressures. Then gradually rebuild the now spare bogies that had been in service for the previous 12 months?
  3. And everyone is "they should bring it back" but when asked to help, none of them will dip into their own pockets.
  4. Change your google and Facebook advertising ID, then switch them to private. Stops those ads being targeted to you, if you've ever wondered how "they know" what you are into.
  5. SpongeBob 3D isn't listed as being closed. Perhaps the penguins are just closed for the week to allow for crane access for after hours removal of the flume on top of the castle?
  6. Oops, I read the due date. I'll be in the corner with my pointy hat on
  7. I've only got the DA basics to go off, not sure how that applies to existing works. Perhaps they went "oh shit, we need approval to knock down what is now a pile of rubble" and sorted it out after the fact. Didn't realise that Buzzsaw was still not working after that stoppage the other week.
  8. TRRR station removal works? A DA was approved two days ago for "Demolition" at Dreamworld http://pdonline.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/masterview/modules/applicationmaster/default.aspx?page=wrapper&key=264887
  9. Either availability of equipment and labour, or, s**t boss that looks like it needs replacing pretty soon before it falls on somebody.
  10. Drove back from the coast after the Tim Minchin concert last night. That stands out so brilliantly, without being blinding. Heading north, it "hovers" above the highway. I don't think the Joker was illuminated last night though (was during the day). It was about 9.40pm when we passed by.
  11. You could theme it to the former Dreamworld helicopter experi... oh, on second thoughts probably not.
  12. Someone was going to say it. And I hang around with train people, a different kind of strange to theme park people.
  13. With friends like these who needs enemies.
  14. I think you're onto it. Mum is evil eyeing the boy, whilst he looks away
  15. Even the ABC has been looking for it http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-07/what-happened-dragon-coaster-tops-myer-centre-brisbane/9369924
  16. And what they are willing to invest in a dated ride that may be consumed by the 'grand long term plan' for the entire Eureka/Rapids/Blue Lagoon/Studio area.
  17. Is DC Rivals simply easier to maintain due to age and design, or do they recognize it's a draw-card and only close it for as little as possible (with perhaps after hours maintenance as well)?
  18. Facebook is a huge generator of customers. A group I'm involved with has been able to nearly triple its visitors on open days, by regular Facebook posts and posting to suitable Facebook groups. Nearly doubled our followers in 10 months.
  19. Not ridden it recently, but when I do, first few rows only. Less violent at the front. Will ride a couple of times, but never in a row. Told you DC Rivals wasn't just talk
  20. Rivals - it's not hype. It is that good. It's about the best fun I've had with pants on.
  21. He's a fun character, still identifiable and probably appeals a few people's secret desires
  22. I've not ridden Soarin'. My 6 year old is a huge fan of the Dragons movies and shows (Riders of Berk etc). The dragons' maneuvers are sudden, forceful and numerous. They don't just cruise along in action sequences. Whilst the ride might be able to replicate the positions, I don't feel it could really replicate the motions of the dragons from the film. Plus, I think even trying to would induce a greater amount of motion sickness than they'd like. On top of all of that, it is a fixed life IP. You would be much better going with a film/films that don't require extensive supporting themeing too (this is Dreamworld).
