  1. Fascinating topic, here’s my answer: 1: Permanent quality flat rides and rollercoasters usually have a max in America of 54 inches, which is 1.37m. In other countries, such as Europe, UK, and Australia, it’s 140cm. That’s the max I’ve seen from top of the class manufacturers. I remember seeing carnival rides that have a minimum height of 150cm to ride alone. 2: I have no clue! I do know that the closest to adjustable restraints for height have been stand up coasters, which allow you to pull down the OTSRs to a desirable height level, also togo’s shoulder press on their coasters. Old school though. Hopefully we see more adjustable restraints in the future so almost all adults can ride safely? 3: It’s probably because it’s Movie World trying to prevent youngish children from riding and getting too freaked out by the intensity? Very funny cause 11 yr olds can ride Top Thrill Dragster in America. I think it’s silly, but it also has a smallish height restriction of 130cm, my 10yr old cousin can ride it. I would be very interested in seeing a true answer from someone?
  2. Awesome photos everyone, does anyone actually have a clue about how tall Big Dipper will be? It says it will be taller, faster and longer than its previous form, but does that refer to the Arrow Big Dipper or the Woodie? Very confused, I assume it will be quite medium height, maybe somewhere between 25-35m tall? What do you guys think??
  3. Yeah me neither, but I already know it’s gonna be good! If you like ejector forces, you will love a Top Spin!
  4. Apparently, according to coasterpedia, there is one still operating at Tashkentland. Checked their website and yes, still operating. Never heard of the park before though?
  5. Wipeout was a Vekoma Waikiki, Vortex is a HUSS Top Spin. I personally have been on a another Top Spin in Dubai and it was WAY crazier than Wipeout! Spinning over and over again, very forceful. Can’t wait to ride Vortex next time I’m up there on the coast! Wipeout was more of a hang-time machine, so in my opinion, they both do great things! :):) Side note: I just found out Wipeout was the second remaining Vekoma Waikiki before closing, so there is only 1 left! There were only 11 made so this was a rare flat indeed. In comparison, there are over 85 Top Spins like Vortex that have been made. Lucky to have ridden Wipeout haha
  6. Definitely, however I like to make sure I ride as much as I can if I’m going to have a trip and get my money’s worth lol. If I was a local I wouldn’t give a single damn about those rides lol Dc and Superman are enough to bring me back.
  7. Man, the one thing MW does that just doesn't sit well with me lmao. Makes booking a trip up to the GC very difficult sometimes!
  8. I can't believe Boomerang is already standing! So happy my home park is gaining some awesome attractions!
  9. Movie world without a doubt. Dreamworld has lost so much in the recent years. Wipeout was a favourite of mine, the log flume and rapids ride were awesomely themed, and the tower of terror now!? I don’t think Steel Taipan will buy back much of the love had for these lost attractions. I’ve been on a blue fire model in Dubai, and it’s alright. Nothing on the level of a 160km/h launch up a 100m ascent. With Movie World, it’s now the rollercoaster capital (pre much the cedar point) of Australia in my eyes. You have a great variety, intamin accelerator, S&S El Loco (even though it’s down most of the time) and shot tower, and now with Dc Rivals!! Beats Mako for me over in Orlando, which was still awesome. I’m looking forward to what will be replacing Arkham Asylum (please be a B&M please be a B&M)!! My opinions are very coaster oriented, but staff is amazing at MW, DW has had some issues in the past for me with customer service, and the theming at ME really makes this park Australia’s iconic rollercoast.
