  1. Well that's good. High capacity helps too with keeping the line short.
  2. So I headed to Movie World today in stunning weather to collect my annual pass and get a few rides in with short queues. As expected Superman, AA and GL were operating sporadically, and most guests seemed to be huddled under the roof near the big screen which doesn't seem to be the best way to spend the $89.99 entry price (bloody hell, how long has it been that much...). Perfect day for indoor rides, Scooby had about a 10-15 minute wait, figured something similar would be awaiting me at JL3D - No queue. No one near the entrance. No one exiting. Three bored employees. Potentially the most technologically advanced ride in Australia with repeat ride value like Toy Story Midway Mania, yet no one seems to care for it. This isn't just a once-off either, I've been on the ride before during busier times and there's been no queue. So what's wrong with it? I'm sure it's shown on the map, but the in-park signage is atrocious. The old BATR2/Batwing sign is still standing but now blank. The ride entrance is a dead corner, but it's not alone in that regard. Does the ride just suck? Some other observations - Didn't take my camera because of the rain, but at the LTRR (RIP) site I could see a lit-up Green Lantern logo, an Arkham Asylum sign and Scooby sign. Attached to the roof facing the rear of the park (ie. Wild West Falls) were Entrance and Exit signs. Not sure if any of this is new... Most of the effects on Superman were busted. Lockers didn't move much, no water, no lights on the cop car, no dodgy projection. Scooby only just reopened but some lights and lasers were still broken. At least the blades swung. New Batman shop is nice but merchandise is the same as other stores. That surely can't be Michael Caine's voice in the Journey 2 narrative... Forgot to mention, few things were broken on JL3D too - the fog screen was blank and the door Green Latern opens was stuck open.
  3. This is a stupid question, but I assume one of the ride operators has to keep an eye on the exit elevator via camera(s) while everyone takes their sweet arse time leaving?
  4. That reminds me, this is in the TOT2 queue in plain sight. Don't think it's been touched since the refurb. Speaking of TOT2, why is the last room so goddamn dark... ps. please tilt head left
  5. *Facebook account not required Headed to Dreamworld today after a one year annual pass hiatus. They got me back with the Wipeout refurb. Speaking of which, let's start with a non-shaky cam video of a ride cycle - And here's a shot of what it looks like broken down - Next up is a few shots of Tail Spin, hopefully someone knows what we're looking at here - I've always been impressed with the Dreamworks area, but having seen Pandamonium in person for the first time, it's way too Spin & Spewy for me. Had to be reset by a technician for some reason when I first arrived, was just rotating slowly. Some cleaning in the area wouldn't go astray though - Here's the Motocoaster broken down - Some WWW shots for those who care - I must have missed the Starbucks store on the map. And finally, The Claw getting some TLC -
  6. I didn't go on Tatsu, but X2 shits all over Green Lantern. Queue excluded.
  7. Dreamworld already has an ark, it's in the latest BB ads.
  8. I'm pretty sure you won't be allowed on the ride then.
  9. So who's going to review this for us when it opens?
  10. Unless my eyes are failing me, isn't about 90% of the trailer video of a real ride POV?
  11. I wish you lot kept your eyes on the road when driving past the parks instead of trying to spot new stuff* *OK if a passenger
  12. I got an error after credit card payment, but it still went through and I received the email with the PDF. No validation regarding old pass either.
  13. Looks and sounds amazing. Great job Dreamworld on refurbishing and not closing a beloved ride.
  14. Shop keeper must have been pretty fast to run up and press the estop.
  15. Wikipedia has lists of deaths and major accidents. The WDW list is fairly long but not when you consider park attendance totals 50 million plus per year. Many of them seem to be from pre-existing medical conditions too, rather than operator error/mechanical failure.
