  1. Please not a Powersurge. Rode one for the first time in Luna Park Melbourne last month and it was horrible. One problem was the ride went on and on and on and on and on. Secondly it painful for men. It throws you straight towards the ground face first then suddenly stops forcing your body down and its like the seat was made to induce pain.
  2. So is the Sydney easter show a theme Park because it has rides? Theme Park does not mean that at has rides. It just means a park that is themed.
  3. The movie is set in the US as well. Plus native americans (indians) are only found in the NA, and these type is only in the US.
  4. You were complaining no one posted in your thread. Most people wouldn't of posted because many of the people on this forum don't go to school any more, they are out in the work force. This would mean they haven't been home. Plus people don't need to post if they are not interested in the topic.
  5. Not really, they will say anything that makes the attraction/ride sound better then what it is. You can't trust the wording of advertisements.
  6. If only movieworld kept that level of theming. I honesty feel that the standard of theming in the park has severely dropped over the years. For example with the lack of the fog in the roller coaster section of Scooby. It just feels strange how everything is so themed then all of a sudden you appear in a warehouse. The change from Police Academy to HSD. Then the major lacking of theming in Green Lantern. I am not say the rides are bad, I am just saying how Movieworld has severely lost there standards of theming since the park opened and I am hope the eventual replacements of LT and BM will return MW to the quality of the old days or the early days od Scooby. I wish I was older when this existed, as the only memory I have of this ride was getting wet from a gremlin spraying some water over us.
  7. One good idea for a ride for movie world would be a ride themed after Beetlejuice. Plus I know Burton and Keaton want to make a sequel. It could also still be family friendly (if done right) like the park desperately needs.
  8. Kinda makes it sound as if its going to be themed after a horror movie. Makes the park more family friendly I guess.
  9. I don't see many people in the middle of winter going, "lets go to a park to get wet and cold then to top it off lets get some rides around the park on the monorail, before trying to fit on the little kids rides." Basically all Sea World has (apart from the coasters) is two transport rides, one ride that leaves you soaked and one that's a very basic flume ride. Other then that you need to be a kid to ride them.
  10. I know that a few years ago Dreamworld had some interest with a coaster with onboard audio. Not the Green Lantern kind but the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit or rockin' roller coaster kind.
  11. Just look at refurbishments around the world, a full refurbishment takes months, Even the transformation of the TOT took a month and all that was, was a tube (that was being constructed while still in operation) and very basic changes to the queue.
  12. But survey markings don't always mean that they are going to be changing the layout. It could even be markings for the position of equipment that may be needed. It could be anything, but I highly doubt it will be a new layout. They may also mean nothing, yet just like all the markers scattered around Knott's berry farm.
  13. It is the least visited months as its that start of the school year, therefore less crowds. So they take the time to catch up on maintenance from the busiest period of the year.
  14. Another way you can tell its fake is that only the front dummies have arms and legs. Plus they would of already done the tests will steel bars (forgot its name) to represent the possible reach of the riders, before they start these tests anyway.
  15. We have to use our imaginations.
  16. It has been over a year since these attractions have closed (not including Batman). So surely they could of done the same as Dreamworld and said they were closed for safety reasons by now, if that was the case.
  17. They wouldn't have to worry about it if they actually put the money into the theming instead of going to the 2 dollar shop to buy their theming. This also applies for Dreamworld. As the reason their stuff gets vandalised is because its so easy to do. When you look at the US parks their theming is solid and doesn't allow for it to be vandalised.
  18. Dreamworld had a valid excuse to close Eureka though.
  19. Yea, but that if the do replace them. They should but will it be too late. Plus in most of the country the Gold Coast parks don't really advertise so, its mostly on word of mouth.
  20. You do know that 99% of families that revisit the park have no idea that the ride is gone, until they actually visit the park. So just because they have high attendance now doesn't mean that it will in several months or years. After those people have discovered that the family ride are no longer there.
  21. Just one hint, try and make you buildings more creative in their shapes. When you go to a park it is rare to find a full rectangular building (in guest areas anyway). By making different shapes, you make the park seem more interesting to the persons eye.
  22. believe me people are noticing. My friends who have come back from QLD keep complaining about the parks because of the lack of operating rides. These friends do not follow the parks and I don't talk to them about them. Dreamworld is the only one with the current valid excuse (as we currently know).
