  1. Yea the park really needs to be investigated its in such bad condition. I thought Luna Park Sydney was bad but Melbourne's makes it look like Disneyland.
  2. I was there the other day when my cruise on the Diamond Princess stopped in Melbourne and god, I can't believe how bad of a condition that park is in. Weeds growing through the tracks of the scenic railway, as well as wood completely rooting away in the supports. Even their newest ride, power surge needed a good greasing, all we could hear was metal on metal grinding, the whole ride.
  3. that going to be confusing. DW and DW in the one place. >DW = Dreamworld and Dreamworks<
  4. yes the back of the train, experiences the most forces due to being pulled over hills and inversions while the front is going slowly around.
  5. Tomorrow may of just been the day that they hand over the ride to MW.
  6. Their cutting it a bit close. Don't you think? With Christmas just around the corner and School holidays starting soon. Guess I was right about the theming. I was hoping they would prove me wrong but I guess they didn't want to. Still hoping but the current conditions and layout of the ride (station and path ways) do not really allow for the MW (or MV as some say) style of theming.
  7. Is it just me or was that a lot slower?
  8. I would recommend Universal. They only have one roller coaster and one water ride (Jurassic park) that you may need to go on yourself. Although they aren't that scary of rides. If you went Six Flags you would have to go on almost everything by yourself.
  9. I will do my best. No guarantees that I will be able to find it again.
  10. It will not be potter or transformers. It has been announced that it is not the possible location for transformers ride. Potter would be the worst spot to build it. Plus those Americans need to get over losing a ride. At least they get a replacement. As well as complaining about 6 major rides, plus decent minor rides. Try 4 when their all working working.
  11. I will say this about Luna Parks Sydney. They do not have the opportunity to really create high quality attractions. The reason for this, is that many of the building are heritage listed, so they can't do anything to them. (Examples Coney Island and the Rotor building) Their is also rides that are heritage listed (Coney island rides, rotor). Lastly they are the victims of complaining neighbors about noise. As was seen with the 2nd big dipper (now Cyclone at Dreamworld). There is also restrictions on what they can build because of high issues and other matters due to council regulations.
  12. So either the stats for the ride were wrong or the people who made that ad failed to do their research.
  13. It would have to be free with an option to pay to win stuff other wise it would fail. An attraction that big would not make enough money to support its self and pay for construction, as I am willing to bet more then 99% of guest will not pay the money to ride it. It would also turn people off because they get something. As odd as it sound people don't what the cheap toys and have to carry them around all day. Plus people don't what to pay to get in a park then have to pay to ride the rides. There is a reason why its never been done.It would be better to have it free because it would attract people to the park.
  14. I mean't 'didn't' instead of did. I will blame that on being in a rush.
  15. I am not sure I have never been on it but I am guessing because I know most water rides are like this. The sound would come from off the boat.
  16. actaully they did physically force us but they keep telling us tho stay where we are until everyone moves and I am 100% not exaggerating the story. Plus there really was no wind over head. You could even see it when they ran the fireworks.
  17. Well first off it started with the fire works on one night. They were called off due to strong winds in higher altitudes (or so they said), we were a bit annoyed as they made us wait an hour but we could understand why, then instead of letting us leave they forced us, that right forced us (they wouldn't let us leave and told us to wait until the end) to watch their Christmas snowfall. Which turned out to be a three lights turning of and on, on the castle. With bubbles imitating the snow (commonly done). The next night we tried again. This time they warned us that the fireworks may be cancelled due to high strong winds. Yet a kid let go of a balloon and as we watched it go up it hardly changed position, indicating very little wind. Who ever was in control of the fireworks told the staff to start packing up but as soon as they were finished the show started. Which actually was a really lame firework show (compared to other displays and previous years and Disneyland) Then they made us stay for the Christmas show again. Over all they gave a us a sour feeling the way they handled everything.
  18. Even though I have never been to our parks at Christmas, they would have to have a much better christmas event to what was at Disneyland last year. It was pathetic and very boring. Plus they forced us to see it (they wouldn't let us leave). If you want to know why I can tell you why.
  19. Actually looks like the things are really happening in parts. The best projection if seen. If only our parks could be bother to put the effort in to do something like that,
  20. Well they have the normal harness with them as well. Plus they only have been added because years ago, a rather larger american women when on Perilous Plunge and because of her size the restraints were not properly locked in, so she ended up falling out and was killed. Ever since this happened they have added these seat belts to add a bit more restraint to take pressure of the normal restraints, so even if they dont fully lock in they wont come loose.
  21. Yea its quite common I have noticed. The reason for this would be to increase the rides hourly capacity (to keep lines down) due to the large number of guest the US parks get.
