What are those funnels with a cap/lid? I have never seen anything like them before. I am guessing that there is nothing more to them, then being a like all the other funnels except in the dark, but I am just asking to make sure.

Even if it was true that they were planning to open it up the track would be in horrible shape, and no doubt there would be damage to the support footings, due to being left for decades.

$500 million China theme park in Australia, NSW
CruiseSF replied to mattcrombie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Honestly, I don't know when you have been through Warnervale but there is rarely large amounts of traffic. The only time you get average traffic, is when it's peak hour, with people using the F3 (Now called the M1) to get to work, or Uni, in Newcastle and Sydney. The only people going through Warnervale to get to The Entrance are those coming from the north, with the majority of traffic coming from Sydney and using the Wyong exit or sometimes even further south. You are correct about the hospital, which Toukley exit (aka the Warnervale exit) from the M1 is the closest to Wyong Hospital. In fact there is very little traffic on Sparks Rd (the road that leads through Warnervale and the one that allows you to actually see and visit this planed park), and when the park is build would need a major renovation, it is currently only one lane and the only spots where you get traffic is near the two private schools at about 3:20 on school day. If you are talking about F3/M1 traffic, there is a fair bit there but majority of it is people going to work, Uni, transport which would not really be interested in the park, to the level they are hoping. Also the F3/M1 has enough issues as it is, let alone with the extra traffic they want. If the slightest thing goes wrong there are major delays. If I miss read your post, I am sorry. It wasn't that easy to read. -
For US be careful on the days you go as you may just spend 100 extra bucks for nothing. When I was there around this time 2 years ago, the park was basically empty and every single ride was walk on or what for the current ride to finish. Yet it appeared as though half the park had a front of the line pass (a single day one not one combined with an annual pass), and it proved to be worthless. An example is we entered the que of the Mummy right behind a family with the passes. When we got on the ride we got on the exact same ride as them, even though we had to walk through the entire que. So before you go check with with the members on some US forums as they will be able to give you an idea if it will be worth it for that day or not. Also you may be able to take advantage of promotions US have. When we went the annual pass was the same price as a single day ticket, and we wanted to go for two days. So we got it and had the added benefit of 10% off all purchases in park.

Can we get the talk off cinemas and the Victoria planned park. There is enough arguing already. This park has nothing to do with any of it. -
$500 million China theme park in Australia, NSW
CruiseSF replied to mattcrombie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
It has complete support from the government and council, who will basically let them do what ever they want, unlike other places where parks get restricted by the council. As well as the things that have been happening in the area to accommodate it has been ongoing for over a year now. -

This has been in planning for years, its not going away due to the large amounts of money people have already spent and the relationship between the company and our council is strong. -

What will replace Looney Tunes River Ride?
CruiseSF replied to WED99's topic in Theme Park Discussion
WB doesn't own MW and all the properties that are depicted in the park have had the right to us purchased. Thats the reason why the superhero rides are themed after the comic books instead of the movies, even though WB has the rights. In terms of HP it would be to expensive for MW even if JKR did allow it. The HP store has been there since the early days of HP so things were cheaper then. -

It will not be as successful as they are saying. The area that is being used it lacking infrastructural as it is. Sure its built right off the F3 but the F3 is already suffering from too much traffic, plus at the Toukley exit (almost right across from the proposed area) is one of the narrowest locations on the freeway with only 2 lines in each direction. Not to mention the huge delays caused by even minor crashes. Another major issues is the lack of anything surrounding it. Every thing near it is homes, woolworthes distribution centre, blue tongue brewery and lots of forests. With many of the side roads being some of the worst in the country. There are no hotels (that you would actually want to stay in) anywhere near the area so they would need to travel long distances. for people living away from the area. the total cost to make the area suitable for the park would be more expensive then the park would cost to build. Wyong Council can not even afford to look after the infrastructure it already has and the state government is reluctant to give them more money due to the low income in much of the area. As well as the area requiring huge cost for roads due to heavy drainage requirements due to being located in a swamp. With a 500m stretch of road costing over $15m when the same work carried out in another area would cost less then $8m. Although there may be some chance since the local airport (currently only allowing private non-jet aircraft to land) is one of the six airports listed on the states governments list of possible locations for a second major airport for Sydney. With this park possible raising the possibility of the state government taking the bill to fix up the area. With the park being located less then a km from the airport, and maybe even located next door to the airport. It could do good things for the area which really needs work. But I need to hope they don't cause too big of backup with traffic since I need to go right through the area to go to uni. -
The Chinese park is going in Warnervale. its about 2 hours (including traffic) drive North from the CBD and 2.5 hours from the Airport (its closer to Newcastle then Sydney). Its about 14km from the coast and just off the F3 (the freeway going from Sydney to Newcastle). Easy way to find where it is being built is to type in Warnervale Airport into Google maps. I think the area is in between the airport and the industrial area since North of Sparks Road is farms and to the East of the Airport is swamp which causes flooding even with just a sprinkle of rain, hence why the school (Lakes Grammar) is built with two different sites with an a link road (which constantly floods). So it wont go there unless they plan to do some serious work.

Well in that definition its not but there is no category that fits every other part of the criteria. If they moved it out just a little more it would be exactly a car park coaster.

Recommendations for Luna Park, Sydney visit.
CruiseSF replied to Benzito's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I think there is page on their website which lists the days but it isn't very accurate as I have been there on a day not listed as a school visit day yet the park was full of students. I don't believe its every school day. -
Would it be possible for SW to go to the state government for assistance with building a higher roller coaster, as the state gov has the ability to overrule the local council. It happens in certain parts of Sydney where there is a 20 story limit yet and the state government built a 40 story tower there. Of course they would need to have some incentive for the state gov but it may be their only way. Any one going to attack me here too?

Recommendations for Luna Park, Sydney visit.

One of the worst times you can go to LPS is during school hours. They run a school program where Physics and Biology year 12 students and all year 7 students travel to the park for the day. The park then gets waits that can rival the GC parks for wait time. In about 4 hours you would be lucky to get 4 rides done, unless your lucky and all students are skipping the ride. -

I already said I don't care. Since you still think I am lying here is one business. Shorethyme. You can't discredit people just because of their status, they may just know more and have done much more then you actually think they have. As I said yesterday in another thread. Ignore the spelling and grammar, as I was on my phone and like now I am very annoyed. -
What should MW and DW's next roller coasters be?
CruiseSF replied to POP's topic in Theme Park Discussion
This was some months ago. I apologise I am currently being very annoyed by one person on this forum, who think he knows everything, and I have said something like this before and I included the park. So being on my phone and not in the mood to look back I assumed I had said that. Yes they may of fixed the issues but you would agree if you saw what I saw the ride was not in good condition and why are you telling me that I didn't see what I saw. I know what I saw and it was weeds growing through the track and piece of wood in the support rotting (past an acceptable point). I really get annoyed when people tell me what I saw was wrong, like I imagined it or something. -

I dont think it was the lap bars but could be wrong. Also the rubbish wasnt one or two it was a bag full of rubbish. Also slowing the line down wouldnt of been n issue since the park was almost empty that day max was 6 in the que -

So someone who lives in queensland will have worked for a small business in a small area in between sydney and newcastle. Also i hate it when people say thing like i spent 10 years in the business i sure know mote then you and people who go he is still in school he doesnt know much else. Plus i will not be arguing with you any more. You havent made one post here without looking down on someone else. -
Yes cyclone is a car park coaster but here is the thing in terms of the type of parks they are you can't compare them each on there own you can think of movieworld as Australias disney or universal. Dreamworld as our six flags or cedar fair. At a SF or CF park a car pqrk coaster is acceptable as the whole park is like that (very little or generic theming. A Disney or universal park the standards are much higher in terms of theming so if they build a car park coaster it wouldn't work so we. So what works at one may not work at the other. For my defenition of a car park coaster: a coaster built in a large open area with little to no theming. With a major objective of attracting people passing by. Excuse spelling and grammer. Annoyance and a phone screen keyboard dont work together. Also i believe that GL is worse then the other identical rides around the world. It has a larger footprint yet the same layout so the corners are then wider and it is just as slow.

What should MW and DW's next roller coasters be?
CruiseSF replied to POP's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Wait wait wait. I said the whole park was in disrepair. I also listed (for the scenic railway) grass/weeds growing up through the track. You can see this at the start of the ride just before the lift hill. Metro or whatever the other roller coaster is in the park had some issue with the seats (they may of been ripped i cant remember exactly what it was.) It also would of been nice if the staff members working on the ride removed the rubbish that lazy guests left behind so we didnt have to remove it every time we went on it. -

You should know there are programs that can bypass server-side security. No matter what any company does someone will always be able to find a way around a security system. The only way to keep a head of hackers is to constantly update the security software so hackers can not get around it as it takes longer for them to discover a way to get around the system then it can take for the company to implement new security systems (this is what military and major corporations do). Facebook does not have the best system out there and were actually hacked into last year. Facebook hasn't stepped up its security that much and yes there are programs which actually can get past facebooks security, it basically finds a back door. Also what would be the use of naming companies that you have most likely never heard of and no I don't know my schools password nor would I care what it is. -

I promise you this is no exaggeration, I wish I took my camera. The main area of issue was down the back of the park. -
Another Dreamworld FAIL !
CruiseSF replied to JackBenjaminBrissenden's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Just did a calculation and that would only take only 65 days at max. Not several years. That is a highly possible number if the person is determined to get into the account and as I said before there are programs which can get you behind Facebooks security, so there is no need for prolonged periods of time where the system has to wait for the system to restart. This process can also be speed up by adding more then one processor to perform the task. You could also you a dictionary attack. This is similar to Brute-force attack except it uses words not random letters. This allows you to limit the words that the program cycles through. Although this method is not a successful as it can only use the word in its dictionary, so any passwords with odd spelling or numbers mixed in will not work. Also I happen to know some businesses do actually use words related to the company for passwords. I have known a few and they were quite obvious but they were so obvious that no one would even think to use it as they would of though it was too obvious plus the business was not likely to be hacked, although surprisingly this password actually worked. -

Just so you know there is actually programs madeto get around facebooks security. I know they work for a fact because I have had it happen to me and the person even showed me the program which was used to hack my account
