With the smaller temporary fences being put in place, the builders doing the stuff with the smoke today, the website, and the opening very close now, I wouldn't be surprised if technical rehearsals begin tomorrow.

This afternoon Volcano Beach had its soft opening and is officially opening tomorrow, ready for the holiday peak period.

Yeah, I wasn't even incredibly fussed (I was a little bit though) about Sky Voyager next to Green Bean. The only bit I don't like is the overlap. Other than that though, I think it looks great!

Funfields has just announced the opening date of Volcano Beach on their Instagram Story. It is set to open on December 21.

I've been before but only because it was included in my pass. I can see the appeal of it to international tourists (mainly asians), but no one else. I couldn't really see myself going back again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone going who's not from overseas.

I think it could have been good to during these renovations add a couple more Fast Photo screens, because often that corner can turn into a bit of a mosh pit. Other than that though, I think it looks pretty good.

I think this is a great marketing technique, especially because it's descriptive but relatively non-obtrusive and (I'm guessing and hoping) that you only receive the message once a day.

What was the reason for Surfrider being installed at WNW instead of SW anyway?

I saw it looking like that during maintenance last year, so I'm guessing it's going to reopen.

How hard is it to find someone who has even a tiny bit of theme park background? Far out.

Thanks for that comparison @themagician. Disappointed to see the track get shortened so much. Does anyone know what the need was for the pool to be put in that position ? FF clearly isn't short on space, as @AlexB pointed out.
