  1. Anything else noteworthy going on at SW? And does anyone know why COTD is closed, and if Dominos has also left WNW?
  2. I miss the old Hollywood Stunt Driver with the massive jump and explosion at the end.
  3. Here is the article: JULY 9, 2018 3:00 PM BY LAURA MICHELL The first outdoor wave pool in Victoria is on its way to Whittlesea. Whittlesea council voted last Tuesday to approve an application for a wave pool and cafe to be built at Funfields. Funfields owner John Verga said the wave pool was being added to the Plenty Road fun park in response to a patron survey. “By and large, people were asking for a body of water they could chill out in,” he said. “We drilled that down further through further surveys and the preference was for a pool or wave pool.” Mr Verga said he expected the pool to be open on December 1, with the new attraction and cafe set to create 15-20 jobs. Before the pool can be opened, Funfields will need to build sound walls along the northern side of the pool and along the northern site boundary, along with a 2.4 metre sound wall along the park boundary which will be tapered at the eastern and western ends. Landscaping will also have be carried out on council land to the north of the park, at a cost to Funfields. An acoustic report must also be submitted to council to monitor noise levels. Councillors included the conditions in their planning permit for the pool and cafe in response to concerns from Funfields’ neighbours. The application received six objections, mainly around noise levels. Cr Tom Joseph said Funfields was important to the municipality. “It is a business that is beneficial to the entire municipality and as a fun park, it is important for them to bring in new attractions,” he said. “These types of conflicts will be there but we need to manage them taking into consideration the concerns of residents and the interests of the owners.”
  4. It already had been implemented into the hydrocoaster.
  5. This is completely and utterly disgusting. WNW need to do something, whether it be put up a shade sail, put up a fence to hide the weeds, or just simply tell us what is going on. We just need something, anything.
  6. What was Rivals' previous maintenance schedule ??
  7. I just found this on the FN website after looking at tickets and clicking on a date + more info https://frightnights.com.au/event-info/event-dates
  8. Ahhhh ok. I didn't think about noise regulations. Thanks for clearing that up.
  9. I hope it is a mistake (but how could they accidentally publish that?). When I see it finishes at 10pm, I think all queues (whether it be a ride, maze, or shop queue), and all entertainment stops at 10pm. Not that the park has no one by 10pm 😕
  10. @themagician That's exactly what I was thinking What website ??
  11. I don't have a problem with them selling soft drink. What I do have a problem with though, is the bottomless soft drink cups. I think it is very irresponsible and they need to stop selling them.
  12. I don't reckon there is anything wrong with the plastic cards. I think the area is much better now it is all free.
  13. Why are they dying it now if it is in a couple of weeks ?? I understand it's probably promotion or something, but there's nothing else promoting it near the fountain (eg. a sign)
  14. On the topic of the looney tunes show shed, does anyone know what it is used for when it's not FN now they don't have the show ??
  15. Thought that might be the case, but thought I'd check anyway.
  16. Sorry, my fault, I wasn't clear enough. I meant does anyone know what they were filming for the FN TVC.
  17. Do you know what they were filming with it ??
  18. Does anyone know what they are doing to the Dreamworld Express ??
  19. Does that mean the mazes have been built ??
  20. Well that pretty much rules out the possibility of opening only DCR pay-per-ride at night.
  21. I went to FF for the first time last season and loved it. The only thing I thought it needed was a pool to just cool off in, so I'm glad to see a permit for a wave pool and I hope they follow through with the plan. It's kind of sad to know that a seasonal theme park in Victoria is currently getting more attractions than Dreamworld.
  22. The entry could be that gate between DCR and GL....
  23. What the difference between a membership and a season pass ??
  24. @Brad2912 @themagician Just curious, would you consider Dreamworld Express an attraction rather than a mode of transport because it goes past Blue Lagoon and Dreamworld Studios ??
