Movie World – History, development, business etc (Wikipedia)
Aw hype replied to CR4ZE's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I never realised Movie World was so small. Even the parcel of land Adventure World sits on (excluding the bungee area, carpark and area near the ice rink) is circa 15-16 hectares.I guess having a decent lineup and more attractions makes the MW feel bigger? -
Delete thread if already somewhere else; Thoughts? https://rcdb.com/18090.htm

What is the actual size of the park (area) -
Thanks to whoever merged the two threads talking about the same things. I know that on a lot of mine sites right now they are fever checking people at the gate and redirecting those who don't pass. Would it be possible to upscale that to our parks?

Well Me personally I'm actually a bowling alley enthusiast so I'm going to have to go with Top golf

Tower of Terror 2 closing
Aw hype replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
There would be an obvious gravitational pull towards the side of the tower with the track, but as you have said there is no way that removing said track would effect the stability of the tower. The tower would have had to have been constructed in such a way as to survive cyclone seasons, like how steel Dragon at Nagashima was, and look i'm no expert but I'd say if it managed to endure Larry and Yasi that removing the track wouldn't have much of an on effect the structural integrity of the tower. Needless to say that the tower should go through a scrutinous structural and engineering review process before and after removal. -
Tower of Terror 2 closing
Aw hype replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
would it not happen during Giant Drops next maintenance period, which is currently unspecified? I don't see GD being open whilst deconstruction on the same structure occurs -
All we want to know is what this 'incident' is, please elaborate.

So apparently they tried to add more attractions straight after the opening season of the water fortress and residents piped up... Could someone please explain the 'InspireWA' theme park concept to me? https://www.veritasgroup.com.au/inspirewa

Yeh on a real note AW have got a shit ton of negative publicity about the post both locally and nationally. Karen has well and truly started a revolution with the power of her complaint

People don't readjust after going on body slides and then walk around. Never seems like that much of a problem but a PTA mom probably said something

Single seater pedal boat thing. My favourite ride at the park when I was very young. It was placed in and amongst trees with one attendant and you did a lap and off you hopped. I remember the water being rather murky and the creek was quite skinny. Last ride circa 2007 (for me) And some more questions.. What is that building situated where the abyss would be put in? Is that the toboggan I see where kraken and sea serpents are now? Did the now non existent castle lake ever house anything? Does AW own that land above turbo mountain on the eastern side of the pic?

@Mark Shaw Where there any plans for a new 2019-20 attraction when you worked at the park?

Disney IP's (That kid from UP), rides (Dumbo), and The HK Disney entrance facade/gate thing. They have also invested in attractions which rip off legitimate manufacturers such as Arrow, Vekoma, SBF and Gerstlauer. If you want a physical catalogue of all the awesome and original thrills GoLdEn HoRsE can provide, take a look at this. https://rcdb.com/16307.htm

How does international law go in terms of blatant IP theft? This park in China is packed to the brim and literally has a knockoff Universal globe and pictures of that little kid from UP! https://rcdb.com/14582.htm

https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33969 Apparently the park has a ride graveyard. Train seen in there 10 years before being put up with slides

I can't see anyone doing much school work if I am completely honest

Will be at the park on 27 September, two days before the season starts, as part of the physics day (https://www.stawa.net/student-activities/physics-day/). If anybody wants a report on on anything in the park or has any information about the physics day (I'm curious) just reply to this comment and I will do my best to investigate anything people want to be investigated. Excited to ride Abyss with what will be presumably newer wheels and not have to wait in line for the Kraken for half my afternoon

Just out of curiosity, what anti-valleying procedures are present on aqua loops? What happens if you do valley?
