  1. I am a tired 13 year old, so I'm not gonna write a full review on my visit here, though I did uncover a couple of intriguing things, to which I will list below. 1. Kraken now has a minimum of 3 riders per raft as according to an employee,"new rafts had to be purchased from the slide manufacturer. 2. Inferno (free fall) is now up and running, better than it was before, but still with the burning steel cheese-grater like pathway. Each rides was surprisingly different (as chosen by operator) 3. Where the circus top is, all of the land has been completely flattened out, and I may know why... 4. As for number 4, after a hard day working the higher ranking employees for answers and getting a response of "if I told you I would get fired", as the cleaning crew/ lower ranking employees did their rounds, I said to one of them "ohh I heard there's a new ride coming but everything is so secretive and she replied "well all I've Been told is that there are two awesome rides coming, one where bountys used to be, and one next to the Kraken". I was gobsmacked that she kind of spilt the beans, but bare in mind she is a low ranking employee.
  2. I don't know if this occurred to anyone, but technically giant drop is in the themed area of rocky hollow. What 'area' would the giant drop fall into if and when rocky hollow log ride is demolished? It seems kind of pointless to keep it in 'rocky hollow' if the ride specifically named for the area is gone
  3. http://www.propertyobserver.com.au/finding/commercial-investment/leisure/33466-western-australia-theme-parks-up-for-sale-with-long-term-lease.html very interesting
  4. Hi fellow enthusiasts!! I am going to the park on Monday or Tuesday and should be uploading some footage of the park and trying to get a bit more of an idea around what actually happened to mark!
  5. This is a pretty interesting article. Could have Wyllie group given Mark a higher paying job as ceo of the Great Escape? http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/hillarys-great-escape-to-reopen-for-summer--minus-the-waterslides-20161104-gsijch.html
  6. Please don't ruin me if this has already been posted http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/national/dreamworld-a-virtual-ghost-town-two-months-after-death-of-four-patrons/news-story/43dc56d8bddd80634618f251c1273c53
  7. Sound awesome. As per now though I do not think that everything on the concept image from a couple of years will not be completed. It had lots of great looking slides but since the hype of the waterslide playground went down I assume they wouldn't have had super above average attendance. I remember inboxing the maze a while ago about the next stage, but I got a long response you know boosting the park etc. Does anyone think they may buy the slides from great escape. (Twister and the pitch black one) cos they would be cheap and are good for the older kds
  8. Very sad to see mark go ?☹️. He rescued a Perth icon, and put the AW in AWesome
  9. No disrespect but they didn't get what they deserved around this period of time for such a milestone
  10. About the contract for mi3, was the $7.5m for the WHOLE construction of the ride, or just for the ride purchase from the company. Just clarifying because the 'x2 rule of thumb' would slate the money spent before ride opening at a staggering $15m
  11. Just somebody buy a b&m or a hyper and we all should be happy??
  12. Ryande 16 has really improved from what he/she used to be on parkz. You do not deserve negative rep, and have been talking real well on this thread not being an idiot anymore. Well done????? now if the coaster was as high as ur negative it would have to be renamed "abyss the 2nd"
  13. Well you tuber thrill central has done a video on movieworld getting a hyper. He's alleging that the gcb article about it is proof of what's happening. I personally think he just ran out of video ideas but anyway you should go check it out. And as we know, although HIGHLY unlikely, the mack crates have not been confirmed as for the new coaster. And that is pretty much the only other provided source to back his information. (Other than gcb)
  14. But then would the conveyor be able to make people "incompatible with life" or dismembered, therefore half of them are on the slats. And even with a 75 cm gap, it's still likely that you would fall through
  15. Just seeing if anyone was wondering but, with all due respect, I would say the slats on the conveyor belt are around 175cm apart. Judging on the fact from a photo that I saw of the incident, in which a body barely lay on 2 slats from head to toe, and cross referencing that with average human height etc. either way it is still a tragic event and a miracle that he/she didn't fall through gaps between slats. But in saying this, if they had fallen through slats, is there deep enough water under there to survive/tread, and how big is the gap from the conveyor to whatever is underneath? Rip
  16. Wow fright nights is looking awesome!!!!!!!! just wondering, does anyone know the actual size of the amount of land aw actually owns, or how much Edgley bought?
  17. Severely sad this is. Just to think about everyone involved and their families and the distress and guilt ride operators and mechanics would feel. Just hearing this is very sad. For The family and friends of the involved guests i extend my deepest sympathies. Just to think they may have been looking forward to a great day out at dw, to only have it cut way too short. Unaware of any possible dangers. RIP
  18. Cockburn is an actual district in Perth. It is pronounced co-burn. They are building the arc a part of a massive complex set to be the new home of the freo dockers. (Not where they play)
  19. Ha true tahnkyou for confirming this isn't mi3 I was getting a bit tight under my collar. And is more fencing going to be added around bounties, cause by the looks of it, you might get some kids mistaking it for a playground if it's left open.
  20. Thanks mate I interpreted it wrong. I thought it was stated as 1 station, 1 track but Vr enter one side and general enter the other. This diagram is a logical solution for Vr mixed coasters. If they did do dual station/track it would be a smart way to reduce line times. But it would not work if they are only running one train at off peak times like they do on SE. Anyone thought about a duelling coaster (one vr one not) or something like twisted colossus, which could explain the infamous "seven minute ride time"
