  1. And what does this mean exactly? Is it going to operate three different types of ride cycle throughout the day? Will there be 3 queue lines depending on what kind of 'speed' you want?
  2. Pretty sure this has nothing to do with the theme parks, but correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. The names are showing up on my browser, but yeah, still ugly as heck - if this is a work in progress I wonder why they made it live because it's certainly not impressing anyone in this state.
  4. The only overseas country I have and will ever visit is Japan so once the vaccine is rolled out and covid case numbers go down in that country I'll be visiting Japan and its theme parks again.
  5. Not to be rude (just kidding I don't give a fuck) but is the park even that busy at the moment that a priority pass is even needed?
  6. I've got a way you can run WWF an hour later everyday during summer and Movie World wouldn't have to spend a cent. Introduce daylights to QLD!
  7. I don't think its insane, I just think its extremely unlikely given the state of Dreamworld's current management. Nobody would have believed a park like Dreamworld installing the world's tallest, fastest roller coaster in the world but they already did once before, so why not again?
  8. To be fair I've only recently returned to the forums after a long break so it's still pretty new to me. But I wasn't even meaning it as a joke really. Dreamworld has got a lot of work to do if they're going to convince me they can spend money wisely and build the park up to the point it was pre-TRR incident. 225 million buys a lot, but unless they spend it on the following 3 things then they don't have a clue what they are doing. 1. A world class flat ride, I'm not too versed in what innovations have been made with flat rides but they need something intimidating and wild looking to fill Wipeout's gap (not literally, it can be anywhere in the park). 2. A heavily themed and expansive water-ride, be it a flume like Wild West Falls or something else water based. Regardless it needs to be wet, it needs to be long and it needs to be fun. 3. A record-breaking B&M roller coaster. It has to be B&M because nothing looks like a B&M and that alone would impress Joe public (as well as please enthusiasts obviously), the best kind of record breaker is to build a world's tallest/fastest its the easiest to market rather than having all sorts of caveats like "in the southern hemisphere" etc. So a Giga like Fury 325 (only taller) would be ideal. Heck, use the top of the Dreamworld Tower as the crux of the lift hill and you've got yourself a ride that no one around the world could ignore.
  9. It'd be cool to have a wing coaster that went from the Arkham Asylum site and fly over main street. Or rather would have been cool had main street not been covered up. Anyway, there's plenty of options to go above, around and beyond the Arkham site for a roller coaster with a larger footprint, its just whether they would bother to spend more money to do so. Only time will tell.
  10. Don't know if this is a dumb question (I'm sure I'll be put in my place by know-it-all's soon enough) but are they more likely to sell the ride or just scrap it?
  11. I know its unlikely because of the cost but it'd be amazing if they replace it with a Batman themed B&M inverted coaster, heck I'd even settle for a clone rather than an original design if that helped to keep the costs down.
  12. Didn't the Big Dipper (a.k.a. Hot Wheel Sidewinder) move because it was too noisy/too close to expensive apartments nearby? Much as Luna Park needs a new roller coaster, wouldn't it just end up causing the same issues with noise complaints again?
  13. With all the space they're making at Luna Park Sydney with these rides being gone maybe they'll install a roller coaster, hey, I've got an idea maybe they should buy Hot Wheels Sidewinder from Dreamworld! 🤪 (Before anyone tries to state the obvious, this post is a joke)
  14. I remember the first and last time I ever went to Dive in Movies, it was my birthday (can't remember the year) and the movie showing was 'Spice World', good times.
  15. Disneysea is my favourite theme park, been there twice. Next Japan trip (once there's a vaccine for the covid) will go there again without hesitation.
  16. Pretty cool that they're already lighting the ride AT NIGHT even though it's not even fully constructed yet. Kudos to SeaWorld.
  17. This might be a controversial opinion (or maybe a brilliant idea, either way) but does anyone else think Wet n Wild should be closed down entirely and incorporated into either Movie World or Sea World in the same way that White Water World is connected to Dreamworld? Granted I'm not the biggest fan of water parks in general and the overall lacklustre state of the park I only know about from Brad's trip report in this thread but considering how few rides they have now it would almost make better business sense to attach them to one of their other parks. Movie World is the obvious choice because of how close it is for transporting the rides, but considering Sea World's seaside locale and how empty that park is I think the latter would be the better choice.
  18. InB4 we learn that Dreamworld just painted the coaster to make her look good for potential foreign buyers...
  19. The Gold Coaster, eh? InB4 people start calling it the 'Old Coaster' because lets face it, that's what it is at this point...
  20. I mean sure but 11 years ago Dreamworld was actually a worthwhile park so...
  21. I find it to be a pretty uncomfortable experience to the point I don't ride it at all when I visit Dreamworld. But then again I had the benefit of riding it when it was Big Dipper at Luna Park Sydney and it seemed like it was much smoother back then (or maybe I was just younger and it affected me less).
  22. According to ~internet statistics~ only 8% of people in Australia have ever been to a Disney park so by that measure you can understand why Australian theme park owners are less concerned about the "theme" aspect of their parks because the bar for impressing the average theme park goer is a lot lower. Not really a great excuse for our parks to slack off but when the competition is so minimal there's probably little reason for any of the parks to spend money on theming. What we really need in Australia is a new park to come along and completely blow joe public away with attention to detail and immersive experiences that way it'll force the other parks in the country to try a little harder.
  23. Confirmed, Stock Photo Roller Coaster Rivals: HyperCoaster coming 2022!
