  1. Maybe it'll be a B&M coaster! Just kidding, seems like there's more of a chance we'd get a Disney park in Australia than Sea World building a B&M coaster.
  2. Not sure why everyone thinks it's going to be themed to a DC hero, especially with that 'it's good to be bad' thing they released, and if the station/entrance to the ride is linked to the new area couldn't it make sense that the coaster will be villain themed. Harley Quinn or Joker themed coaster perhaps? We already have Superman and Green Lantern, plus a villain themed coaster could make for more colourful track/theming opportunities.
  3. I'd be up for a completely different theme for the area, like sci-fi or something equally unusual. Wouldn't be too hard to make Buzzsaw sci-fi, it's already pretty alien looking, plus they could change the Eureka Mountain into a crashed meteor or something!
  4. I would assume a new water attraction would be high on Dreamworld's list of next attractions, especially if the Log Ride is closing for good. My memories of hot Gold Coast summer's spent cooling down on the Log and Rapid Ride are undoubtedly shared by many considering how popular the rides are/were. It's just a matter of balancing when to announce a new water ride. Anything under 6 months would probably be seen as insensitive.
  5. Not a New Zealander though, just fond of that name, holds nostalgia for me despite its terrible product placement. Plus it was called that when I first rode it so it kinda sticks, just like how I still call Hot Wheels Sidewinder, Big Dipper after riding it 15 times during its final days at Luna Park.
  6. I do wonder what kind of park Seaworld wants to be, with the removal of Coca Cola Rollercoaster I don't see how they think they can compete as destination venue aside from people who want to see the animals. I haven't been to the park in about 10 years but nothing short of B&M coaster would bring me back, but then again maybe they're not catering to my ilk anymore.
  7. I was reading through some wikipedia articles on defunct Dreamworld rides as I tend to do from time to time, getting my nostalgia on when I noticed an interesting fact that I probably read before but forgot. Thunderbolt held the record for longest roller coaster in Australia, and despite it being long gone no coaster has ever beat its length. Got me thinking, and forgive me if it's been mentioned, I've read "most" of this post but could have missed it, what if any records will the new Movieworld coaster break? Obviously it's all conjecture at the moment but I could see it breaking that old record of 1,207m. Hopefully, anyway.
