We need more station / queue fly throughs

Most bars (that I've seen or used) are a T or U or L shaped. I can't mentally picture how the extra hook on the J would increase safety. once its passed the "pinning" point on the waist I'm not sure what its doing unless its structural, like in a U bar.
-
Because I found it interesting? Sorry, I'll message you privately in the future to check if I'm allowed to point out something I find interesting.
-
Interesting the lap bars are just a hook rather than a full loop

and GL was still having issues all day. Not sure what the problems are but I feel it probably should go back into maintenance until it can be figured out. Its also a waste of staff as the 3 Ride Ops just stand out the front of it all day telling people sorry.

What's the future for Dreamworld after Steel Taipan?
Naazon replied to Slick's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thats an interesting point and one I haven't thought of. Online you see internationals saying how they would love to come to AUS to ride DC Rivals, Steel Taipan is more or less a clone and there are a number of versions of it globally. The spinning seat is a great money grab, but only if you're already at the park, I doubt it would make many people want to pay thousands of dollars. -
Junior Driving School is also only listed for 6 days, so some changes to come to this list for sure. Doomsday is missing also, although I dunno if it needs more downtime in 2021.

Just a small update on this one. The land has been mowed for the first time in a very very long time and all the signage has been taken down from the fences. I'll be back up in the area around the 26th but probably not until after dark and maybe again on the 28th. I'll see what I can do. I can't remember if the watertank is still there or not either.

As I said earlier, my family loved it and just watching our son be amazed by the performers and the Aqua show is good enough for me. The food was pretty solid too. Everyone had a good meal.

You mean SX360 or Actventure

At least the Arkham courtyard is getting some action in. https://fb.watch/3V7CWOScwl/ Edit: I'm an old man. How do you insert videos off facebook...

And as I said previously, the "2 for" discounts will push sales too, but only useful if they are often selling single seats. I don't know the number of single seat sales but I'm sure thats a metric they should track (based on day, season and times, ideally)

I've never seen this before, but I've also never looked but SE's cable is super loose just hanging down under the launch track. Also under the covered section of the path to SE are a few pallets with what appears to be new cables for Batwing, just behind the fence. A lot of cables in that small section.

Long, wide, flat(ish) slide, sitting in full sun with minimal water means it collects a lot of UV. That plus the type / thickness / colours of the fiberglass im sure come into play. I also have a feeling, for once Wet n Wild did preventative rather than reactive and its benefitted greatly. Its throughput is massive, highly popular and the scoring actually working for once is a win.

I have none. I thought I saw it either in a video or in a discussion either here or Reddit. Just had a look and couldn't find the discussion either. Edit: I remember the discussion also focused around the magnets to keep the spinning in check ect. Edit 2: the discussion was accompanied with this video I also could be very wrong and remembering incorrectly.

leave it long enough, nature will do it for you

MW should do 1 for $15, 2 for $20 or something, especially off peak.

Meanwhile my whole group loved it and are excited for next years. The older members loved the roaming entertainment and watching their grandson go on rides. They also enjoyed relaxing at the end watching the show. Orur son loved the ambiance brought on by the added music, both live and recordings and enjoyed the rides at night and was so captivated by the final show his ice cream wasn't touched (waste of money ). My partner and I enjoyed watching her parents and our son have a great night. None of us have ever experienced any themed night outside of Australia so maybe thats why we didn't fine it "generic" or maybe our expectations are lower. Either way we had a great family night.

Went on it last night and can't agree with this more. People seemed scared of it, there was 0 queue the whole night and hearing people be concerned of how scary it is, but walking off it, people were talking about how it "wasn't bad at all". Also it was just way too short. It needs at least 2 more spins, including 1 high speed spin and maybe 1 more flip, hopefully the opposite direction.

Ignore all this. Other replied didn't load.

I mean its a possibility but the ride is 25 years old, sitting outdoors in the extreme heat, wet and at least 3 cyclones or ex cyclones have passed through the area too. Thats a whole lot of metal fatigue. Add onto that the possibilities of the new trains causing stress fractures as some people have raised (not sure if this was confirmed or debunked?). Now we're also mid pandemic, although Australia have it pretty good most countries are not going so well, so their spending is down. So you're likely looking for a small or new, privately owned theme park who wants to buy a 25 year old, weathered and possibly damaged rollercoaster that only has 1 fully functioning train, and then likely ship it half way around the world. If thats the case the GM of this theme part must LOVE the extended SLC as I'm sure there would be much better, cheaper, longer life options available from the multitude of parks based in the US, or other parks around the world, some of which may be closing up from lack of revenue during the pandemic, rather than just selling off old rides. Happy for the more knowledgeable people to come through and correct me.

Who wins that race? BuzzSaw or Green Lantern?
