  1. I'll bring this fun one up gain, but Mad Max is in full swing with a Furiosa movie in pre-production + more Mad Max sequels written waiting to be filmed (at least 3 from memory). You could very easily turn that area into a run down dystopian area and possibly expand back a little, but building a sound wall to not disrupt the studio, making the sound wall look like Yosemite Sam rail road / Road Runner rollercoaster style.
  2. There is a lot of promising reports on vaccines being out in 6-24 months time and world wide economic downturn so I'm sure national government and state/local government want drawcards being built to drive tourism dollars, and manufactures want to keep operating so long term agreements could be a thing along with a very very low interest rate to borrow against. So keeping that in mind I'm hopeful that its sooner rather than later.
  3. I've actually never been on it, so would like to one day.
  4. Surfrider is still listed for a 6th December return. They have a month to piece it back together, test it and open it, apparently...
  5. I've not heard a Huss one what do they sound like compared to Wipe Out?
  6. Honestly sad to see go. My son Loves seeing Batman looking over the park "making sure everyone is safe".
  7. Horrible. Needs more water features, open air and palm trees
  8. Gonna break this down. First paragraph you took issue with the the research company being the same company for 2 different sets of research. I see where you're coming from but remember people tend to use the same companies if they like the service/cost. No need to change for no reason. What they did with the results is as displayed. But also I'll remind you they have always intended to open to NSW in November, but decided Sydney was too risky. The rest is personal opinion so I'll ignore that Letting in a select controlled cast of movie stars (assuming you're referring to Tom Hanks here) allows the production for a whole film crew to start back up. not rocket science. On the health aspect, risk is super low. High profile so they can't break quarantine or everyone will know, plus its low numbers of people, paying for their own quarantine. On an economic aspect, a heap of people are now back at work. AFL front, similar but larger scale. High profile, so when they broke quarantine and their bubble it was in the news and they were punished. AFL paid for everything also so economically it makes sense too. The Airlines are welcome to run routes between the open states, SA, WA, NT, TAS, ACT. It was literally only 2 states barred from QLD. The other point is those businesses require 'tourists' in large hard to control numbers, often with low profile. That is a large health risk. Things are obviously changing now, with VICs reports coming out cleaner than NSW so we could open to VIC sooner than Sydney.
  9. No, but simple math. If the light is red and you announce they can't go on the ride because the limit is 120kg, are the over or under 120kg.
  10. Thats a great idea but maybe leave out saying the weight limit part. People can get upset by saying their size (more or less) publicly like that
  11. I'm not saying you're wrong but if you could provide me an example of a contradiction that wasn't the cause of a spike in viruses / a new cluster, that would be great. I'm more curious to be honest as I've followed this closely from a life and work perspective and didn't see anything to show that. Labor have generally stuck to their guns. (annoying for work, good for life) LNP however has constantly backflipped on the QLD border and don't have a national approach, seeing as the NSW premier (LNP) said the QLD LNP leader would have opened the border already if elected, and the QLD LNP Leader (at that time) was saying the QLD Border closed was the right move.
  12. Wet n Wild have posted the dates of opening up the rest of the slides, excluding Black Hole and FlowRider. Looks to be a progressive re-opening with AquaLoop first, Calypso Beach following, Mammoth Falls then finally Surfrider in early December.
  13. Its been there a few times. I saw it there in August too.
  14. I'd say its just a 12 year old ride that needs a little more love than a normal year. This would have likely been fixed in 2-3 months in a normal year but finding it next to impossible to commission parts from overseas. Unless you're suggesting GL is getting removed also?
  15. Which is really dissapointing. Scooby Doo is a really really good crowd soak.
  16. Clark needs to come back out with his family to introduce the ride fully soon, explain why its a great family ride and show that his whole family will love it. The post COVID ad and using his family to say its a family park has set a standard for me.
  17. Seaworld posted a new video on Facebook https://fb.watch/1nuDp4NJJL/ Sorry, no idea how to post the video here
  18. The woman is stable. There is also video available of immediately after she fell where the ride can still be seen running (and quoting someone else "with music still playing"). It appears it completes 1 full rotation before then slowing down. I don't know much about the ride but it does take a while for the arms on the the ride to stop.
  19. I actually had no idea that you could set alerts for Nearmap so thats pretty cool to know. Thanks.
  20. Jet Rescue delayed again until December 5th Storm Coaster added for 4 days of closure, possibly related?
  21. To be clear I wasn't implying they were bad. Like was said by others, incorporate well and things are good. I personally like the ones at MovieWorld, particularly the multiplayer ones where there is always a winner. I find there is a lot of buzz around those when the games are going. People just love competition. Movieworlds problem is down that end of the park, apart from WWF there isn't a whole lot to do so foot traffic is limited. They need an entrance to a major ride down there, possibly using that grassed area BOH behind the showcase / near Arkham (unless its marked for a dueling coaster coming 2023 *fingers crossed*).
  22. Yeah I was pretty sure there was a chain discussion. Stairs are to improve guest evac conditions to make it safer / easier. I guess the semi frequent ride stops have made them re-think the design? Also asked about Arkham and he wasn't aware of it scheduled to be removed but was aware 1 other ride on the VRTP is to be removed. He said there is a slight chance that it may operate again but was unlikely.
  23. Easier to blame a nationally known organisation than to blame a travelling ride where the operators aren't known by the general public.
