  1. I mean I went to KFC once and they literally ran out of chicken.
  2. I've seen business insurance claims in the $10's of millions and the premiums only slightly increase (relative to the original premium) the next year. Admittedly the main claim that comes to mind was a structural fire and second was hail damage, not a Liability claim, but the outcome is similar. If the maximum is $4.5million and they are expecting in the $100,000s then I can't see the premiums adjusting too much. The premiums will likely have a higher increase if they can't meet new risk mitigation criteria which the insurance companies would have introduced after the event.
  3. Would dreamworld have known this was coming around this time period and could there be any relation to the delay in opening their park post COVID?
  4. Possibly a ship wreck / ship destroyed by leviathan?
  5. Tourism is a generic overarching term. It's a good idea to outline the levels and wide reach to show importance in supporting your discussion point.
  6. Not just 'tourism' but literally all levels of tourism, Local, Domestic and International in a wide range of demographics.
  7. That exact headline has been used for as long as I can remember. I feel there is a part of fearmongering going on. Not much you could do there either apart from airport style security.
  8. Can't you just look in a mirror and ask yourself what you're into?
  9. Also Wet N Wilds attraction... you know the same company...
  10. From my understanding the Huss Topspin is faster and smoother than Wipeout. Less movement but less jarring. Personal preference obviously applied but something is better than nothing.
  11. They are some very interesting cutouts into the slab... Quick Edit: That sand concrete looks incredible from above. I think the whole vortex ride looks awesome from above.
  12. Likely, but I'm hoping I can spread some of my local tourism $$$ around.
  13. Open by September holidays. Technically means they can open any time between now and September holidays. They really shouldn't just open first day of the holidays. They ideally would open at a minimum 1 week early to get into the COVID rhythm.
  14. Apart from saying they will be open by September Holidays, they have been rather quiet. Its a shame, COVID has been great for me personally and picked up more work so I was willing to buy a DW Pass for my family during our holiday in August but will have to wait and see if they will be open by August 17.
  15. Sure you're not celebrating the return to school?
  16. I was much the same. Fast Pass saved my life.
  17. They also updated the Cogs. I would say someone is watching the forum and is actively fixing the easy things we're calling out.
  18. Any logo will be pixelated if you crop and zoom in larger than its designed to be displayed. Having a higher resolution image for that location on the website would be horrible webdesign.
  19. Not sure why your background on Dreamworld website is black. I am assuming some "Night Mode" setting in your web browser, so first of all you're not looking at Dreamworlds version of Dreamworlds website, someone has altered it. Second, the red Bar is a temporary COVID information message, which everyone can see if you don't crop the image down. So in short, no.
  20. Mine worked when I used the ID number (under the pic, 9 digits long) not the barcode.
  21. Personally, my family were planning on visiting Falls Creek but the new Victoria ban means we can't so were holidaying on the coast and will use some of the vouchers (like Outback Spectacular). Also the $$$ savings means we can also get Dreamworld passes which is what brought this to mind. Guess we will see in the coming weeks.
  22. Dreamworld have ceased selling tickets (understandable). What offers do you think they will have to attract people once reopened? Village are offering $350 worth of vouchers.
  23. It would cost more to renovate most likely due to the insurance involved in an In House attraction, unless a manufacturer decides to take on the job and turn it into one of 'their' rides, which is super unlikely. That and the park has already announced the ride is permanently closed.
