  1. Years ago when I went to Aus Zoo they had at least 2 people with rifles when the Croc shows were on, and 1 when someone was in the enclosure cleaning ect. I didn't see any last time but I only saw the big main show and I assume they hide the men with guns a little better in the big arena.
  2. Actually, no. The screen is just a 3D object for projection mapping. By definition a screen is a specially prepared, light-reflecting surface something may be projected.
  3. So what you're saying is, theres hope. I'm interested. Recently single and no one else to do a trip like this with so a tour would be brilliant, pending price obviously.
  4. This might speak volumes about me as a person... butttt.... how much spare time would there be for things like drinking?
  5. Theme Parks and Fast Food are pretty much the only places I like to be spoken to
  6. Well.. No? It says "Up to 2 hours" then continues later on that only last passenger waited the 2 hours. They also attribute the 64 passengers because the park apparently advised both trains stopped "midway" through.
  7. Flynn wasn't accusing you of having someone else's opinion but was wanting to know why that's your opinion
  8. I've only been to Disney once so have no clue but just an idea, could Disney do a double fence? A fence with the construction warning signs around the construction areas and then another nicer looking fence around that whole area with theme to keep it 'nice'? Redundant and waste of money, but thats Disney isn't it?
  9. And today apparently. Giant Drop also has 4 days booked out in Feb. Assuming to fix the west side.
  10. Source: https://seaworldcarnivale.com.au/visitor-info/calendar.aspx Can't wait until January 20th to open my Christmas presents.
  11. Worked for me, looks good too. Look forward to my next trip.
  12. Just "DC Rivals HyperCoaster Discussion"? not in Soft open now but still good to discuss. Also completely agree with your view on single riders. When I was there a few weeks back one guy was letting 2 single riders through (apart from when a kid spilt his drink on the seat and they had to clean it / cycle it through for a blow dry) but when I came back to go backwards the attendant was only letting them on for single seats.
  13. What do they define as a local? Still SEQ and NNSW?
  14. They needed to remove the mountain so they can recycle the steel
  15. Correct but mention a rollercoaster or thrill ride to general public and they question the safety of it. I would say they will stay away from a new Thrill Attraction until they have been able to recover more and remove the old ride and the legal side of things has ended. Once all of that is done they could build a thrill ride with minimal referenced to the incident to stain their reputation further.
  16. I did. Not much as you would expect. There was a swooping magpie though to keep people on their toes.
  17. I do like the idea of a special effects "show" like the ones i saw recently at USS and USJ, particularly USJ, because fire and explosions. My biggest issue is they were tied to movies and that could become dated really quickly, as would just effects in general, unless they are updated even with minor adjustments every year or 2. But we have seen how well MW looks after effects on other rides right...
  18. I would aim for MW SW and WNW and hope you can get a sweet deal on DW to knock em all over.
  19. You're wrong, kinda. When insuring something as simple as a car you are asked if it is roadworthy, and similar to a home, asked if it is structurally sound and secure and stated in your documents it says you need to maintain these conditions. After such an accident though, through investigations they may pay out a partial claim depending on circumstances. You are also able to claim on your personal liability if you are responsible for other damage. You're correct. Source: Work in Insurance. My company insures some major attractions around Australia for various things. Interesting is that usually more than 1 underwriter will insure for different divisions / sections of the park. Such as the actual rides could be insured by a different company to the liability. Finally since this could possibly have such a large payout, the insurer may also have to dip into their re-insurance plan.
  20. I mean if Merlin buys it, at least they have the experience of a theme park having a major "incident"...
