  1. Is it just me or do those photos seem over processed / saturation turned up max? Otherwise looks cool.
  2. I could see that if this wasn't a rollercoaster, the advertising of it and whole point of it is to go fast and if it wasn't called Superman Escape. The queue is boring. a pass through and viewing of the launch from the queue would make the queue tolerable.
  3. I wish more rides interacted with the queue. like the pass through the building for superman would be great if it passed through the queue building, and the launch was visible from the queue. Movieworld seems to really want the queue to be locked away from the rides, but then does little to try and entertain the people in the queue. Can't speak for DW as its been years since I was there.
  4. Forbes says its #70. Some surprising companies above it. Some not so surprising... https://www.forbes.com/global2000/list/#tab:overall
  5. I might wait until the new Wild Mouse opens then. I've personally never been and its annoyed me that I haven't but I also don't feel like im missing much.
  6. My take is the ride has been turned around to face the lagoon now and the new wall in the rendering is a sound barrier to reduce the impact the the dolphins. I do think the queue should wind past both the dolphins and also inside the wall so you can view both the dolphins and the ride.
  7. I wonder what would happen if back row was free and rather than buying a back row wristband, you bought a 1 time use fast pass, choosing which seat you wanted. They could then let on more than 2 paid riders per train if they wanted, and also fill every train no matter what. Although queue logistics would suffer. On that, the spinning row has 4 seats so assuming they sell at the same rate as Movieworld, they could be set to make double from it, but the general queue suffers with the loss of 2 extra seats. I'm fine with the bonus row but would prefer if the train was left alone and they added a whole extra section at the back, although that would involve further design and engineering changing the weight and length dynamics.
  8. but actually, would it be easier to expand into that area if there are services already running there.
  9. I don't know much about construction/deconstruction, but would that site still have mains power, sewage and mains water under it?
  10. @pushbutton The issue isn't its a long way, its that its tucked away. No linked paths or circular route, just 1 way in and out. Because of this it also creates a bottleneck in large crowds.
  11. Reverse launch up a spike, then normal layout with 2 launches? Also would that mean for sure the end of TOTII, once this is built of course.
  12. All the slides will need if if they are building 6 new ones. WWW slides are all somewhat compact and visible across the park. 6 brand new ones will be jarring against the old faded ones.

  14. They are some great theme parks to be posting about in the Theme Park Discussion forum
  15. Honestly I've ridden this twice and think its a great traveling ride.
  16. Second train gets used every school holidays, and I assume is used in standard rotation also.
  17. Village also did nothing with WnW and SW for a long time. It might be more that they have a 1 track mind and multi-tasking is hard
  18. Huh. Good on them making a Fright Maze from a comedy movie.
  19. I'm not a horror guy at all so could be well off but I doubt its Zombieland 2. Zombieland is a zombie based comedy, not a horror and in my opinion wouldn't fit the bill. Either way I personally won't attend but hopefully the changes this year are improvements.
  20. I agree with everything you said except these two points. Now it has the extended tunnel, I agree it cuts the park in half, previously with just a track I thought it was fine, no issues. The tower its self is obviously iconic. The noise is also super loud but I've always thought it made the atmosphere. I have strong memories as a kid wanting to be as close as possible to it when it launched and loved hearing it go and would always turn to watch as soon as I could. I've not been to dreamworld in a good 7 years but its still a strong good memory memory.
  21. They are brilliant photos. Would love to see some more from other parks when you come back. (SeaWorld 2020??)
  22. My 5 Y/O stepson is Terrified / In love with Storm. Its the perfect "Step Up" ride for him and makes him want to be just that bit taller for more rollercoasters. I should mention hes super tall for his age.
  23. Ideally, to combat the removal of Wipeout and ToT, they should announce a rollercoaster and announce a conversion of GD, starting 6 months or so after the Rollercoaster opens.
