It definitely sounds like they need better communication in terms of weight restrictions. Just like age limits for rides, I swear weight never used to be scrutinised this much for slides before TRR changed the landscape of how things are enforced.

Are there signs anywhere stating that if you're above a certain weight, you can't ride anything? Other than safety signs on the actual ride entrances that state the maximum weight and to not ride with any injuries.

Still a developing story but it's being reported that a woman has fallen from a ride, possibly a "hangover", in Cairns at Showfest. Mixed reports saying that the woman has died and that she is still fighting for her life. Local reporters who are on the scene are saying that the woman has been transported to hospital in a critical condition. It's a fairly cheap way to add some extra impact to the construction site. Throw in a few coloured lights and you've improved the look of the whole area already. When the coaster is complete, take those away and reposition them for their final lighting design or take them away and replace it with the full planned lighting package.
