But which country? When I think paradise, I think Norway

I love how the "what defines a theme park" debate occurs while @AlexB is off in the middle of nowhere. Though, I guess PC is a park that's themed to the outback

I compare Dreamworld to the likes of Busch Gardens. A mix of a theme park and a zoo. I'd compare Seaworld Aus to Seaworld USA but Seaworld USA gives no shits about their animals and has a huge focus on very well done, high impact rides. Seaworld Aus has become a conservation effort as the focus on rides dropped. Now that we are seeing more rides being built, we might finally get a good mix of rides and caring about the animals.

I always assumed they just pulled the name out of a random word generator -

Knowing Australian parks and how they run their sites, if you look hard enough you'll probably find the Gold Coaster page just hidden in the websites back end. -

Hypothetical - if Thunder River Rapids didn’t happen?
Jdude95 replied to T-bone's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Rivals was in the pipeline long before TRR happened. That just pushed it back. From them having to rebrand the whole thing and scrap all marketing to the delays from having the Government crawling around everything for a few months while they gave the ok to Village to continue as they were. -
Y'know, some form of skyway would be a wonderful way to get people from the front of the park to the middle...

I believe they are trying to get some form of Powered Ranger to Go. Go Go Power Ranger! -

If GL happened, TRR wouldn't have. The thing about GL is that it would have happened right at the very front of the park, been just as horrific and taken out 8 people, at least TRR was hidden away within the park. Village would have had the book thrown at them but I can guarantee that a second book would have been flying for Ardent too. -

Management wouldn't have changed, park would have continued to go down the hill, people would have died eventually. It was a matter of time -
It's been said over and over again, they need an extra pathway on the right side of the lagoon so that it's not a massive bottleneck right at the front of the park.

What even is this thread 😂 -
Just throwing in that they tried literally everything they could think of. Water levels, pump pressure, conveyor faults, 1,2,3 and 4 rafts colliding together, different combinations of mechanical and e-stops, air pressure in the tubes even as far as actually trying to push the rafts to force them into the same position they were in 2016. It's pretty crazy to think that they couldn't get any rafts to flip or even go vertical with all of that testing. It also shows that the ride could operate perfectly fine under extreme circumstances but 1 single random factor can cause a complete disaster. That right there perfectly proves that it was literally just sheer dumb luck that no one had been injured or killed earlier.

You've gotta find a fine line of accepting that your park killed people while also not shoving it in the face of everyone that your park killed people. -
I thought Gaz wasn't allowed to just "find kids" anymore

I can confirm, whenever I take @AlexB to a theme park, I always change his nappy upon arrival.
