There was also something raised during the inquest. DW had requested their certificate be extended because they haven't had a chance to get the inspector in yet but essentially it should be fine because it's been running without issue for 35 years

Glossed over, like the fact that Village are putting peoples health below the potential sale that everyone keeps forgetting? If there was glossing over, this site is the glory hole of it. Yes, it is shitty that Ardent have done this but the timing makes sense with everything going on in their business at the moment. Sure they could have kept the jobkeeper for a couple more months but then you'd just be opening the park again as you're saying goodbye to staff and that looks worse.

It honestly blows my mind that this isn't a bigger issue being talked about. When Vortex opens and the park is back in its full swing, I'd fully expect to see JFC out there bitching about it. Seaworld can't even try to throw Trevor Long at the issue anymore. I guess only time will tell but with all the press they've already had in recent years about their animals, this wont be a good look. -

Well, no, as a person who this directly involves. I'm saying I have no problem with the word. You can't call a little person a midget, that's offensive. But if the little person calls them-self a midget because they have no problem with it, that's setting that whole group back? Try calling a person of colour the n-word right after seeing them use it casually and see what happens. All because someone in a minority uses a word that was once used to degrade them, it doesn't mean suddenly no one gives a shit anymore.

Seeing it from this angle, the set up of those spaces doesn't even make sense. Two random ones on the other side of the road. I can see why they used that area but now i'm just questioning why their parking is set up that way.

Can we just be glad they aren't gutting the ride and giving it a Marvel IP theme? At least now it's hooked to a more relevant and recent IP and one of the Disney Princesses. Seems like a no brainer to me

The theming is fairly cool and looks good compared to what we normally get in Australia. It's definitely not world class or anywhere near the original design/what it was hyped to be. I guess the theming and the ride work well together then... a watered down version of what could have been. -
