  1. I never really thought they were genuine rumours, more just wishful thinking?
  2. Hard to believe the ride time is only 2:40 minutes, it certainly feels a lot longer in there - which is a good thing, i'd say.
  3. If there was any news, it would've been covered by now.
  4. I believe the kangaroo/koala area at the back of the park is remaining closed because of low demand (little to no international tourists).
  5. I think the passes are fine the way they are now. They don't need to always emulate their brother and sister parks overseas. As far as i'm aware, my current Dreamworld pass already has a fair few member benefits, including 10% food and merchandise, unlimited photo pass and discounted/free entry to their events - which is something i think is certainly lacking from VRTP's offerings. As for the idea of a platinum pass, i think it could work, but certainly not with unlimited entry to their after-park events - in a financial sense, at least.
  6. I'll tell you right now - that image was not taken from far away. It was taken up close. If it really was zoomed in, the background would be blurred, and the image certainly wouldn't be this sharp (unless it was taken with a very expensive camera lens).
  7. Or maybe they're just trying to make it look presentable. That is a completely unnecessary spot to put any sort of memorial. Wherever they put it - it should not be in front of an Ice-Cream parlour on the busiest street in the park.
  8. I investigated this heavily a few months ago when I got my new drone. The rules are pretty straightforward, but become incredibly muddled when airports, roads and private property come into play. As a general rule, you cannot fly any higher than 120 metres (about the height of the Giant Drop). There is also a rule about keeping 20 metres away from all vehicles, buildings and pedestrians. When it comes to the Seaworld helipads, you can fly within their radius (of 5.5km), however you must bring down the drone as soon as a helicopter takes off (regardless of where you are). My tip - fly to the eastern side of Seaworld Drive (at least 20 metres to the side of the road), to avoid any legal issues. I spoke to Bikash a few months back, and after a couple of incidents at the parks regarding drones, VRTP are quite strict on this issue. TLDR: Yes, it's safe to fly the drone, so long as you adhere to the Helipad rules and the 20m road/building rules.
  9. It's been that way for quite a while, as far as I can remember.
  10. Your logic is pathetic. WWF is a dead end, is it not? What do you expect? If a ride is closed for maintenance, of course there's going to be a dead end. Also why does there need to be a competition between DW and MW? We should support both parks, and appreciate the efforts that both parks have gone to, to ensure they are safe and open for the public. Get your head out of your ass - it's not a hat. Don't get so offended if someone supports a park you don't like. *Before I get bashed, i'm not defending Dreamworld at all. I think both parks have done their best to open up as much as possible, and they should be applauded and supported for that. We're lucky in QLD to have parks open at all.*
  11. Dreamworld's #1 attraction, Sky Voyager is offering you an international experience with no passport required! Enjoy an all-new film that flies you over some of North America’s most incredible landscapes, from Niagara Falls to the famous skyline of New York City and beyond. You will experience landscapes such as arid deserts, icy glaciers, volcanic ranges and the deep blue Pacific, just to name a few! Looks interesting 😀
  12. There's nothing to suggest it won't be like that. If that's what the colours are on the map, then i'd expect that's what we're getting.
  13. Sea World are calling this the ‘world’s greatest family roller coaster’.. Very bold statement
  14. They already are in the process of recovering. The name of Dreamworld has nothing to do with their chances of recovering, however. It's about good investments in safety and new attractions which will bring guests back through their doors. This is already seen - attendance and revenue has been (for the most part) steadily increasing since around 2017-2018.
  15. I wish the nauseating react was back. Was there really a need for that? Considering half the changes you made were utter bullshit? Both parks have had closed rides without explanation. Both parks are brilliant at closing things with little explanation. Both parks have reduced staffing levels. The Log Ride closed a few months ago, Vikings Revenge closed years ago - there’s a major difference. Maybe before critiquing other people’s ‘bias’, take a look at your own.
  16. I more meant from a publicity standpoint. Ride removals = bad in the public’s eye. So if it was truly just demolishing already closed rides, i’d expect they wouldn’t want to announce it as they have.
  17. Why would Village want to announce they are removing two rides if it's just demolishing already decommissioned rides though? And how is it obvious at all? There wasn't a mention that the rides are already closed.
  18. I figured one was Arkham, but also possibly the Kiddie bounce ride in WB, or Tweety's Cages? They're both getting on in age by now?
