Headline should really read 'Woman with preexisting condition hurts herself on a ride she probably shouldn't have been on'

Watch this moron try milk it for everything.... Also watch No Limit never return to Adelaide... Shame because it's a fantastic ride!

I get how people look at this and can be like "they don't work with the rides they don't know what they do". Essentially a ride is classified as heavy plant machinery. So with some engineering drawings, an engineer (like these specialist are) can easily assume and ascertain if the plant equipment is indeed doing what it is designed for.

The issue is not enough "inspectors" exist currently. But over time this will be built up meaning a new ride coming on the scene in a few years time shouldn't have as many delays assay today.

I agree that it hasn't been executed properly but like I already mentioned give it time and things will get better.

Yeah I totally agree, I think these people need to work more with operators and owners instead of going against them and being harsh because of a stigma.

Rules are rules. Heck, I've raced cars semi-professionally. But still, I had to sit the same driving test as everyone else. It's good for the theme park/amusement park industry that these new standards exist. It helps build industry confidence again.

Never said anybody is disregarding these rules because they are safe. You just have to look at it in a way where many of these people who work doing safety audits are not around amusement rides every day, that goes for parks and travelling machines. Just how it is I guess.

  4. I pray that Seaworld has done their research and have opted for a Suspended HUSS Top Spin, honestly they put the Wipeout to shame, until you try one, trust me on this (and I’m not saying it just cos it’s HUSS) they’re incredible machines, and far more enjoyable than Wipeout. There’s a reason why soo many exist in the world!

Yeah when I rode it at Ekka a couple of years ago it spun stupidly fast and towards the end I was wanting it to be over.

Do many riders actually enjoy it being operated in that manner? Do they sell many re rides on those days?

I think in the beginning it was probably operated at full speed for too long. I think with a mix of full speed and moderate, it gives a more enjoyable ride when you get those quick bursts of full speed without it making you sick. I think now, from what I saw at Sydney it doesn't go full speed at all during a cycle. Same goes with the Beast, too much spinning and you get people coming off sick and generally looking like it was torture, just gotta find that balance to make it enjoyable without making you sick and wanting you to ride again!

  6. Glad you enjoyed your ride mate, I watched how the XXL's were operated in Europe and wanted to give similar rides, I think the excessive spinning just makes it a bit sickening! Great Waltzer video, wish it operated as fast as it did when it first arrived in Melbourne!

  7. I'm still yet to experience a Shot 'N' Drop, and its a shame that they didn't keep the original artwork on it, but I hear theyre a fun tower, im not a fan of drop towers, couldn't bring myself to ride the Funtime 80m Hangover Tower, but i'm all for a Shot N Drop. The S&S Shots are a good time!
